I was craving a seafood boil and found this gem in Laurel, MD called Crab & Chicken. It also has the Zion Kitchen (African Cuisine) in it as well. Pretty cool combination! We came at the prefect time right before the rush. So our wait time was great. Not to mention their service was amazing the cashier/host/server & cook are the kindest (great customer service) and the food was delicious. If you are ever in the Laurel area give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

Against my better judgement I decided to give this place a try . The service was trash the food was just okay . We stop passed later afternoon and it was like a ghost town , the parking lot was empty and seems like the staff was all hiding . There was no one to greet us so we sat our self and grabbed our own menus . The crab legs were seasoned to perfection the old bay wings weee just bland . Dont think I'll be back .

Food is amazing and service is even better! Lady in front was very informative about the menu considering I'm very picky when it comes to food but she knew just what I wanted.

Saw this spot on Uber Eats a few times and decided to check them out. For starters, the service was a little off. When I called in my order, after saying I'd like to place a carryout order and the staff member saying okay, I waited to proceed until I knew he was ready. There was a long moment of silence between both of us, and I can't remember his exact words, but he told me to say the order but it was in a rude way. And then when I was paying, he asked if I was going to give him a tip or not which was an odd/weird question. The food was underwhelming. The crab fries lacked flavor and the mixture of sauce and cheese was off. Was too liquidy. The crab poboy also didn't have flavor. Not sure if I can say this place was even average unfortunately. Ambiance was your typical carry out spot.

Hey if you're looking for a great boil this is the place!!! Friendly staff and they remember faces. The seafood boil came with plenty as you can see from the pics. The sauce was the house special spicy but the spicy was mild. The supreme boil is what we had and it was a lot, it was 4 of us and we barely finished it off!!! The seafood we had was: crab claws, crab legs, shrimp, with corn, potatoes and sausage. It was fresh and perfectly cooked!!! This place was very clean so we decided to eat in, and the atmosphere was great without a crowd which was surprising because there was a lot of pickup orders so it must be known. Also there is another restaurant that shares this location with them called Zion African Food, they bring menus of both to your table when you eat in. Pictured is the ewedu with beef and fufu which my daughter ordered, which was tasty to say the least. If you're looking for a tasty boil, please give this place a try!!

Perfect place for seafood classics. Food was very tastefully prepared. Batter on the fish was perfect and light. They still messed up my order after asking me but it really didn't matter because the food was still good. Also the customer service was on point with the young at the counter. The place was really clean as well I think it's a shared restaurant too because I seen the name of another place on the back of the place with a african food restaurant . I'm going to try that place next time I go the menu looks good.

After a long day of shopping, I decided to come here for lunch. This place is located where the old Wendy's used to be. The lady at the register taking orders is very sweet and great when it comes to service. I ordered that day's special which was 1/2 lb crab legs, shrimp (head off), broccoli, corn, and potatoes. I also ordered 1/2 lb of black mussels. The crab boil was good; however, it was missing a key ingredient, and can't figure out what it is. My mussels weren't included in my boil, I believe the cook forgot to make them. So it came out later in its sauce and not the sauce that I ordered my boil in. Overall, this place was good.

New to the area, and It was a wonderful experience. Carmen was a great host, she made sure we were happy and gave us recommendations and everything was perfect! The portions were large, we had crab and shrimps and it was delicious, we tried the butter garlic and the house sauce and they were both great. The place is super cute and the ambiance was a 10. We will definitely come back again!!!

This place is in the same shopping area as Walmart where the old Wendy's used to be. I went for the lunch special and boy was I not disappointed!!! The flounder sliders were crispy and tasty. I got mine with sweet potato fries, super yummy!!! I have yet to try the boils, but if the sliders were an indication I am all the way in. Also, the customer service was stellar Stephanie was superb!!!!

Shoutout to our local community heroes! We were going to shop at Sam's and spotted the venue to the front right side of turn onto Russett Green. Grande opening was posted. We were warmly greeted by the host/ boss. Looks larger inside than expected. She said that we could get seated and she came right after with the menus. She took our drink order while we looked over the menu. Hot Fried chicken and seafood with a lunch menu offered 7 days a week. Wow! The hubby ordered a dozen oysters, wings with hot garlic sauce, and fries. I ordered a seafood boil with shrimp and snow crab which comes with 2 potatoes and 2 corn. House sauce, medium spice. It was really well balanced and so filling! The boss and staff came by often to check on us. You get all the tools necessary for a productive seafood boil: gloves, bib, crackers, fork, bucket, and SCISSORS!!! I was so happy! My arthritis and incoordination makes me appreciate scissors so much! My husband could tell that I was happy, because he knows how I want to get all the precious meat from my crab legs!!! And the bib helped save my clothes as I greedily and shamelessly drip the awesomely seasoned seafood. I gobbled it all and had a blast! A family friendly atmosphere with a lot of natural light, open concept, and nautical theme. The staff is attentive and personable. The food beckons us back with the plans of bringing family and friends. A beautiful meal with beautiful people!!! Bravo!!!

My schedule was rearranged last minute on a Saturday so I decided to catch their brunch. The laurel location was the closest to me. I was able to reserve a spot at the bar on open table about an hour before arrival . It must have been a lucky day for me because there were plenty vacancies and I didn't need to make a reservation. There was live jazz playing. I sat at the bar - shout out to Nnamdi who was the bartender and my waiter. Food wise: brunch only offers the $55 unlimited food option for two hours. I was completely fine with this as I was able to taste multiple dishes. I had the fried deviled eggs, Rockefeller oysters, bang bang shrimp, deep fried snow crab legs, pork chop and grits, wings in hot honey lemon pepper (their signature sauce) and the white chocolate bread pudding I enjoyed everything except the deep fried crab legs. The cluster was hallow. I had more fried batter than crab meat. Deviled eggs were my favorite of all the things I tried. And the bread pudding was sinfully delicious . I wasn't able to finish my last two items ordered but luckily I was able to fit it in the to-go box. Most places that serve unlimited food don't allow to-go boxes so I was happy to not have my leftovers go to waste. I opted for the bottomless cocktails as well. I stuck to the mimosas and tried the different flavors. The pours were generous. Nnamdi was very attentive and I appreciate him answering all of my clarifying questions as it was my first time. Gratuity is included! I am excited to go back! Before leaving I ordered a cocktail (MisKiri IX) that wasn't included in the bottomless cocktails. It was good. A little too sweet for me but glad I tried it.

She said"the kitchen" messed up packing my order but instead of sending it back, she "fixed it". Honestly it seemed like she was trying to get me my food on time, but management should have been called to solve this problem and ensure I didnt leave the restaurant with collard greens missing all their juices. I didnt know what exactly happened with tje packaging, so since I was told the problem was "fixed", I took my food and left. The worst part was the deviled egg appetizer. Another casualty of the kitchen, apparently. It looked unappetizing when I got home and opened it, and the crab topping that I paid an extra $3 for gave off a very strong smell (reminiscent of the kitchen of a seafood restaurent) and also appeared wet. I'd guess they took crab straight from a can, put it on top of the eggs, and covered it with old bay seasoning. Very disappointing. Sadly these were not the only issues, as the collard greens themselves were bland and a little tough. There was also a wooden stick in my greens?? Not sure why. Although the catfish was fried well, that's the only satisfactory thing about this experience, and everything else ruined it.

They have an extensive menu and they answered all my questions. We got fried scallops, which were big and juicy. Not overcooked! Paired well the sauces available near the door, and my favorite was a mix of cocktail sauce and the hot sauce. The fried oysters were my favorite though. We also liked the crab balls, and the Maryland crab soup which came with big pieces of crab. The sides of collard greens and Mac and cheese definitely hit the spot. The steamed Cajun mussels were big in portion and delicious too. We were only visiting for a short time but I wish I tried their desserts and chicken wings and seafood boil. The little bottles with alcohol on the side (rum punch , jungle juice, etc) were so good too. Those are dangerous, they don't even taste like alcohol! I ordered the stuffed flounder with two sides. I got collard greens and brussel sprouts. Also ordered a small Maryland crab soup. My partner got the shrimp and scallops over rice and ordered a side of green beans with mushrooms. Everything was outstanding. My flounder was broiled nicely and there were what seemed to be three filets in the order. The stuffing (crab meat) was a huge portion of what seemed to be just crab. I kept looking for mayo or filler and didn't see anything. It was delicious. The collard greens and brussel sprouts - huge portion of each - were both very good. I liked the fact that the greens were not swimming in pork fat and didn't have anything in them but tasty greens. My partner enjoyed their scallops and shrimp. The rice was even in texture and flavorful. The Maryland crab soup had at least 4 large chunks of crab in addition to veggies. Delicious broth with old bay flavor. There's a sauce station with Mambo sauce, cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, hot sauce and ketchup. I tried all the sauces and they were good. Cocktail sauce had a good amount of horseradish in it. The place itself is set up like a huge cafeteria. You walk in and order at a counter, then pass a variety of the entrees and sides. They all looked fresh and good. Large. Well lit seating area. You seat yourself and pick up your order when it's ready (a sign displays the order numbers when they are ready). The place is clean and I enjoyed the variety of music playing throughout our meal. Some Luther Vandross, Chicago, and other tunes from the same time period. Really pleasant. There's an active bar with happy hour food and drinks. The bar was hopping when we were there.

I don't dine at barbecue chains very often since I try to watch my diet, but I was happy to find plenty of options that weren't overly greasy, fried, or smothered in sauce.
