If you love attention to detail then this is the place for you to go. I had my nails done, not intentionally but they can last up to 3 weeks without coming off which any of you ladies that wears Nails regularly know that's really good. I had almost given up wearing Nails because it seemed everyone had cheap product and the nails won't stay on longer than a week without looking horrible that does not seem to be the case at Red Carpet nails I would highly recommend them read more

a HORRIBLE business. I've been trying to schedule a manicure for my groupon for months. Once I finally scheduled one for Saturday (because I work Monday-Friday and can't make a week day) she TEXTED me to confirm for my appointment on a Tuesday afternoon at 3, proceeded to call me a liar when I told her I would have never made an appointment during the week, and told me that it was my fault I couldn't make the "arranged" appointment. I'm reporting this to groupon. absolutely atrocious. read more

My experience at Red Carpet was great! Our appointments started on time, we never felt rushed, all of the employees were attentive to us and didn't chat with each other, and the quality of the work was excellent. I was with a group of 5 for our friend's birthday, our appointments were scheduled over a month in advance. Unfortunately during our appointments Sydney (the owner) had to deal with a customer (Leah M) who was extremely rude and clearly believed that she was above anyone else in the salon. Sydney was professional and firm with the woman, then continued her excellent service with another member of our party. Leah's attitude and remarks provided us with a good laugh, but Sydney was fantastic, as was the rest of her staff. I'll be back! read more

I always like to return to the same nail salon if I find one I like.... I also like to try new places, to branch out a bit and give my business other establishments. This was a fun and quality stop for my pedicure! I swung in on a whim---I barely saw it from the road. Red Carpet Nails! I quickly yelped it to make sure it wasn't a 1 star. Greeted graciously and immediately. They were able to accommodate a walk-in pedicure. I noticed they didn't have OPI brands, my go to polish. They offer sustainable brands as touted by the proprietor. What the heck! I picked a polish and enjoyed my pedicure. They offered wine, so I indulged. My technician was kind and I thought the service was thorough. Thanks, Simone. I will return. Great, clean environment. Nice decor. Medium to higher price. But my experience was worth it. read more

This salon makes appointments and honors them. They RESPECT YOUR TIME! (I've been to other nail salons that schedule an appointment, but you have to wait for half an hour because they accommodate walk-ins). They ask for your nail kit every time -- a sign of cleanliness. Their prices are the same as other places I've frequented. It is very refreshing to be able to have a conversation with your nail tech! read more

5 stars... staff is very friendly, environment is clean. Services are by appointment only... The owner helped me personally and explained it's so clients aren't rushed and receive poor service. One thing I hate most about nail salons is being rushed through and getting your cuticles hacked at, crummy paint jobs, etc. Not here though! Very thorough work. Let my gel polish cure longer than normal under the lights because my nails are oilier than most (or so she explained to me as we chatted and sat around during the cure times). Appreciate that bit of info; I don't want the polish popping off after 3 days! Got a great deal through Groupon that brought me here to begin with. After speaking with the owner and learning more about trying to build her business, I'm more than happy to support this local salon again! read more

I have had nothing but good experiences here. The owners and staff are very friendly and sociable, the facility is clean and nicely decorated. The atmosphere is relaxed but professional. Most importantly, my gel manicures are perfect and last a very long time, with no discoloration or cracking. I even showed up on New Years Eve with one hour notice and they fit me in without any complaint. More than 3 weeks later my nails still look nice :) read more

I made an appointment for hard gel nails. I got there and clarified that I wanted hard gel. The nail tech got out gel builder which is a product for a gel manicure to make them thicker. She then layered it on the cuticle part of my nail repeatedly and got it all over my fingers having to wipe it off with her own nail. She never put product on my nail tips. This made them lumpy and uneven even after she filed them. I left mid-service with paying $31.00 for the service that she had done because I knew that the product would have to be removed and the service redone. I went to a different nail place down the street who knew exactly what I wanted. I am disappointed because I asked multiple times and was told that basically I didn't know what I was talking about. I used to go to this salon a couple of years ago and never had this kind of service. I'm sure they are fine with acrylic. I just wanted the product I asked for and if they couldn't do it they should have just said so. read more

I went here yesterday to pamper myself for my birthday. I discovered them via Groupon and I'm so glad I did. Like others have said the place is clean and the staff is so sweet and accommodating. My nail tech was Jerry and he did such a fantastic job. A super sweet guy who knows what he is doing. While there I saw a few customers come in who were highly disappointing in there expectations so here is an announcement for you all: *NAIL TECHS ARE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY ARE NOT SERVANTS!* if you want insta service without an appointment go to some chop shop down the street where you're a dollar sign and not a valued customer. *BRING A NAIL KIT OR BUY ONE THERE FOR $3* I'm sorry, you got a Groupon to get a discount on there already fair prices and then you want to be a tightwad and complain that they're being sanitary? ! If $3 dollars has your pantys in a bunch, I dare you to go create your own quality nail kit (file, buffer, toe separater) for less! Thank you red carpet for making my birthday relaxing and fun :) read more

This nail salon has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. DO NOT BUY THEIR GROUPONS, they see you as a customer who do not deserve good service and are beneath their other customers. They will also make you feel low for purchasing a groupon. While trying to make an appointment on my birthday, I talked to Sydney. After I was already treated very rudely for even mentioning groupon, I was asked for my voucher number. I asked why she needed my voucher number.. Which is a valid question considering the fact I have never been asked this by any other establishment when using my groupon. And I have been using groupon for years. Instead of answering me, or explaining her practices, she told me to return my groupon since I was so "inconvenienced". Then she said she was "insulted" that I would compare her salon to other nail salons...Well, Sydney I have never been to your salon, so what else do I have to compare to? You ARE in fact a nail salon, so you will always be compared to other nail salons. This time, other nail salons just happen to be a lot better than yours. They were shady, rude, and sit themselves on a high horse. After reading several other reviews I see that people that buy groupons are not treated like other paying customers. Here's a suggestion for your establishment. DON'T SELL GROUPONS. If you are not going to treat these customers fairly and with the same kindness and urgency as others, then don't be on groupon. Don't get offended when people ask you questions. Some people like to ask questions before giving out strange information. I will never recommend this salon to anyone, ever. read more

Won't be returning. Had a gel /shellac maincure, and started chipping off within 48hrs. I get my nails done with shellac everything 2-3 weeks, and have been for years now. I have never had it chip off this quick, and for a hefty price. Did not feel it was a very clean salon, and overpriced for the quality of service, and had to show the nail tech how to file. She didn't even cut my cuticles. read more

Ehh.. so so fill job, my nails are crooked and the polish was extremely thick meaning old, and it was $43 for a fill, what? An acrylic fill... smh My nail tech was out of town and then he got sick so I had to go somewhere else...needless to say I'm not happy and I'm not going back. read more

I downloaded this app just to leave a review. I've been looking for a great nail salon but I would receive poor customer service. However, I went here for the first time and enjoyed being there & my nails came out exactly how I wanted them! My technician, Alex is super sweet & talkative. I scuffed one of my nails while the polish was drying & she fixed it no problem! I'm definitely coming back. read more

Alex is great! She's sweet and super down to earth so I didnt feel awkward like with some I have at other salons. I got the groupon but wasn't really impressed because of the option I puchased. I'm sure I would be happier of I bought a more fancy set. Awesome ladies that work there tho! read more

This place is great! I'm pretty picky about where I get pedicures and this place met all my needs; clean, credit cards, great polish selections, doesn't smell like a nail salon and the staff is awesome. You must see Kat, she is amazing! read more

We were late to the appointment but they were very accomdating. I took my little sister here to get her nails done for winter formal. They were polite, friendly and helpful (even though we had a living social deal). They also suggested crative ideas to match the dance theme "Midnight blossom". It was a little extra but the design elogently matched the dress. Thanks Red Carpet Nails! read more

I really like this place, they do a great express gel mani/pedi that gets me in and out in 60 minutes or less. I am the exception to the rule, I do not like to sit in a nail salon for a long time & be pampered, if I could magically have my nails finished in 15 minutes, I would be the happiest person ever. I appreciate that they accomodate me, and do a great job! The first time I went, I wanted something fun for a work trip to vegas, and they had some great ideas, I was really really happy with the results. read more

Horrible service, employee and manager were rude. my acrylic was uneven and had lots of bubbles on most of my nails, the shape was not what I asked for even though I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted, they told me there was an extra fee for the shape after they had started working on my nails I agreed to the fee only becasue they had started and I just wanted it done and still they did not do what they charged me for. I was cut during the service due to the employee looking at her text messages while working. read more

I've been to numerous nail salons in the Portland area and Red Carpet Nails is by far the best! 1. They have online scheduling with listed and very reasonable prices. 2. Everyone that has done my nails here, especially Sydney, are perfectionists (I mean this in the best way possible). Your nails won't be too thick or too thin and the shape is always on point. 3. Your nails last! I was previously getting new sets every two months because of lifting and chipping. I now get new sets every six months! 4. They have so many polishes and options to embellish your nails including glitter, foils, stamps, crystals, gems, decals, beads, 3D art, etc. read more

My son gave his sister and I a groupon for Red Carpet Nails as a mothers day present. We both have been looking forward to getting them done together. When we arrived we were treated very nicely. We chose our colors and were directed to the sitting area for our Pedicures. After sitting down I pulled out my groupon and gave it to the gentleman who sat us. He looked confused and said "oh". He walked over and showed it to one of the woman there. She's a tiny dark haired Asian...I never got her name but I wish I did. From that moment on it went horribly down hill. This woman is pure evil. She was very cold and rude to me. She told me "you have nice nail beds...what have you been doing...playing in the dirt"? I told her I have been moving and cleaning all day. I tried to stay cheerful and just let her nastiness slide but she just kept on until I raised my voice to her just slightly. That is when the manager yelled at me from across the room and in front of the customer she was working on to not raise my voice at her employee. I wanted to get up and leave but my daughter was there and I didn't want to ruin it for her. This woman did a rush job on me and only gave me one coat on both my toes and nails. My daughter had started before me and was still being worked on by the time I was finished. I pulled the manager aside and explained to her what I was going through with her employee. She was very apologetic until I pointed out to her she yelled at a customer (me) instead of finding out what was going on and disciplining her employee. When I told her I wold never step foot in this place again...she showed her true colors and was just as rude as before.I have NEVER had such a bad experience in all my 57 years. Groupon or not I will NEVER EVER step foot in this place again and I will Never recommend it to anyone!! I'm forced to give it a star where as they deserve minus 5 stars! This is what they have written on one of there sites: Red Carpet Nails established with a vision to provide average women a Hollywood treatment without the star status. Red Carpet Nails offer services to women who enjoys pampering, who isn't impatient, value, appreciates, and recognize a great service when came upon one and who isn't afraid to pay a little extra for a great experience. After being in the industry for a few years, many clients in previous salons shared how often they were not pleased with the lack of customer service, communication, and some experience was even painful at some salons they went to. What she think is missing in this industry is the experience one has. Her style is laid back and make sure her clients gets to relaxed. She has make it a mission to give clients who walks in and out of the salon feeling great about the service(s) and experience they received. WHAT A JOKE!! read more

WOW! Red Carpet Nails was so great and accommodating for our party of 5 even knowing we ALL had groupons! Sydney, the owner, was the one who did my pedicure AND manicure and she did an amazingly through job at both. She was a rock-star at professionally dealing with a very snide, rude, unprofessional "business woman" as she called herself (See review by Leah M), in a polite, calm, and collected manner. It's so funny that Leah M claims that Sydney was incredibly rude, apathetic, and snide when she was nothing but and actually those are perfect words to describe Leah's demeanor and attitude. Hats off to Sydney and the way she politely handled the situation while continuing with my amazing manicure! I will defiantly be back to Red Carpet Nails with all my friends! read more

If y'all want the best designs & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE then you have go to go here!! GiGi is the VERY BEST I've ever had!! I LUV LUV LUV HER!!!!! I have seen all of them in action & they all are really good at what they do but GiGi is my favorite, she does the very best designs, that girl is th'SHIZNIT Make an appointment though & don't try to book the same day- you have to give them a lil time, especially if you want the great customer service I was tellin you about, they take their time on each & every customer so you can expect the best every time you go! I have been waiting for Portland to get a salon like Red Carpet for a LONG TIME!!!! I am so happy they're in my neighborhood! **UPDATE 3/19/14** Im so upset I can't give the rating I wanted to!! I love their work, but EVERY TIME I get a gel mani the gel or design is peeling, chipping, and coming off within 2 days! On Saturday 3/15 I got almond shaped acrylic set with gel polish because Sydney told me if I get the acrylic that they won't peel or chip. Between my gel pedi & full set it was $90.00 & that was WITH A DISCOUNT! My nails looked good, the shape wasn't exactly how I pictured it but t'll do...so I leave & the very NEXT DAY one of the decals came off, the gel peeled off the tip of my right thumb. They're not open Sundays but I did call to tell her, she said come in & they'll replace decals & give me some to take home. I went & got the nails fixed Monday morning & that SAME DAY the tip of MY LEFT INDEX FINGER FELL OFF!! (I had a trip planned to go out of town & the SAME THING HAPPENED 2 weeks ago!) So I call & tell Samon, advising I don't have much time as my flight is that afternoon, I get in there AGAIN, she did a GREAT JOB ON THE SHAPE!!! It made the rest of my nails look bad! But I got the nail fixed, was at the airport & the RIGHT INDEX NAIL BROKE!!!!!!!!!! I'm so PISSED OFF, now I have to take a cab somewhere (not in Portland) to get 1 nail fixed!!!! I travel often & the thing is, is that my last trip I had a photo shoot & the day I got to my destination my gel polish had peeled completely off my right index finger after getting them done 1 day before! I'm not doing anything that would cause this, I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS MUCH OF AN ISSUE WITH A SET OF NAILS!!!!!!! AND FOR SO MUCH $$$ EVERYTIME I GO THERE I SPEND AT LEAST $90, BEFORE TIP, I WILL NOT BE RETURNING AS MUCH AS I LIKE THE PEOPLE & THE ESTABLISHMENT ITSELF THE QUALITY JUST ISN'T THERE. read more

I liked going to this place because the owner Sydney boast about her great customer service however she has a habit of scheduling for the wrong days and on my last and final visit after having my friend drive 2 hours, away from her new born baby, to come get her nails done we were turned away because Sydney scheduled us on the wrong day yet again. There was no customer service and all we were told is "there's nothing I can do" even after Sydney admitted that the mistake was her own. There was nothing offered for the inconvenience and she just assumed that we could come back the following day as if we didn't make an appointment for a reason. I will not be going back. read more

Red Carpet Nails is amazing. My initial experience was as a Groupon customer. I had seen pictures of great nails and I knew I wanted to go there, but the Groupon was a cherry on top. I was greeted BY NAME (As a first time customer!) when I arrived an immediately brought to a chair. Sydney was my nail technician, and before we even got to the chair she was already talking to me about the fact that she was already looking at the photos I sent her of the nail designs I liked. Mind you, I walked in with torn off busted natural nails, so she had some work to do. After being seated she gave me a full price run down so there were no surprises. I cant tell you how many times I have gotten my nails done and been told one price at the beginning and paid another. The prices are fair. If you want to pay $15 for acrylics they are going to look busted. $40 is more than reasonable for the flawless nails I got. Sydney took great care to make sure I was comfortable and she was so gentle! No burning of my nails with the drill, no clipping too close, nothing. She brought me a glass of red wine and a chilled water to drink while she pampered me. It isn't just Sydney. The other employees and patrons make you feel comfortable. Everyone talks to each other, no communication barriers. We had a great time laughing and socializing with everyone that was there. It was like I found my Cheers, where everyone knew my name. The whole experience was so great I will ABSOLUTELY be returning. Cant say good enough things about this place. read more

I am really torn because I loved the people here, very personable and friendly, they had TONS of colors to choose from, and the salon was clean and well decorated. However, my nails as well as the persons nails who went with me were chipping and peeling less than a week later. I have never had that happen before with a shellac manicure (they usually last about two weeks), so I'm not sure what they are doing differently, or using different than other salons. If it weren't for that I would be leaving a 5 star review and be coming back as a return customer. But since the entire point of a shellac manicure is its durability/longevity, if it doesn't last it isn't worth it. :( Sorry guys, just being honest. read more

Great place that doesn't rush a pedicure. Massage was nice, the scrub was the best, and the women that work there hold wonderful conversation and are happy in general. l appreciated that they shared their opinions on nail color and shaping, and had a lot of knowledge about skin care.
