I really wanted to like this salon. I went a number of times over the last six months and generally got a good quality manicure. I'd originally wanted dip nails but they recommended I try gel builder. But I don't have the time to keep up with fills and would get basically scolded when I did make it back into the salon because they'd have to do a whole new set (even when they weren't busy enough this was a time pressure). The color was pretty, but polish was left on cuticles and seemed like an uneven application. The website said $45 for nails. I ended up paying $82 with new file and buffer. Just seemed way too expensive. 20 minutes after my appointment I was at home cutting and filing my nails down. Was hoping to finally find a place I would return to. This was not it. I have been in there before and I got my nails done and they had offered me a great price and I always tip heavy... I've been here a couple times now (dip powder) and I've got to say, these ladies are so great to see in the Beaverton area. Brenda is my go-to nail tech & she really understands how to shape nails to the hand. It was probably the worst nail experience I've had! The technician seemed frustrated and kept aggressively pushing and pulling on my hand if it wasn't in her desired position. At one stage, I tried to tell her that the glue under each nail had dried and pinched the skin to the nail. She completely ignored me. The color was not even close to what I requested. This is my new favorite salon in the area. It was clean and bright. Mimi did an amazing job on my acrylic set and made my nails look exactly the way I wanted them to! I am extremely picky with my nails and she killed it 100%. They were super busy so definitely make an appointment before going and make sure you choose the correct appointment type for what you want - don't choose simple gel color if you want a design, you'll end up cutting into other customers time. I have loved coming to red carpet nails for the past couple months, but was extremely disappointed. I came in for acrylic removal and was left in pain after having them essentially ripped off each nail which is the completely wrong way of taking them off. This was a new man who I never had before, i think his name was Tony and he seemed very rushed. Barely shaped my nails and rushed to paint my nails. I loved the design he just never finished it. With this rush of painting my nails I don't think the gel really dried my thumb nail is already cracking not even a couple hours after the appointment! I have been to this place about three or four times previously and they always did a good job. The last time I went, they gave me this (new) girl that I never saw there before. She absolutely destroyed my nails. When taking off the old gels with the Dremel, she went too deep and took off the whole top layer of my nails. The first thing that I noticed, when I left with my new gels, was that they were uneven, there were dark and light spots, there were spots she missed, and there was polish all over my fingers and cuticles. I went back in and she did a half-assed job of fixing them. Within two days, my nails were chipping like crazy. Then suddenly, my nails just started peeling in layers. They were extremely weak, and would break all the way down to the skin line -- painful! I went to another salon to have the rest of the chipped gel polish removed. I couldn't believe the ridges in my nails from that girl grinding off the top layer. My nails are now a mess and I have to let them grow out for a few months before I could get gels again. To say I am angry and disappointed is an understatement. I felt like they knew me there, but all of a sudden they just threw a trainee on me, still charged the regular price, and destroyed my nails. read more

I would give zero stars if it was an option. I had a dip manicure and shellac pedicure two weeks ago. I left for vacation a few days later and noticed my dip manicure was fading. Over the next week, my bright pink dip polish was nearly clear. My fingers and toes were the same color--you can see the difference in the photo attached. I got home today and returned to see if they would re-polish my fingers as clearly there was an issue with the product or the application. She accused me of using shampoo, conditioner or self tanner. I don't use self tanner and I use Olaplex hair products. I've been doing dip for four years (although this was my first time at Red Carpet) and I've never had this happen. Anyway, I will not return and cannot give this place a lower review. Terrible service and poor quality. read more

I wanted to really like this company, however I can't say I was satisfied with my services done. I was charged close to $70 for a gel manicure, no acrylics. I enjoyed how friendly the staff was and how serious they take their hygiene. However, my gel manicure was not done well. My cuticles were over plucked which led to irritation and pain. The gel actually chipped 2 days after I got it done - so I called and made an appointment. They were friendly to take me over the phone, but once I got to the salon, they were incredibly rude to me and had me wait 15 minutes past my appointment time. They didn't fix the color chipping, they just repainted over it with a clear coat. I get gel manicures professionally done frequently, and theirs just doesn't compare. All 10 fingers started chipping after 5 days with just normal wear on my hands. I'm disappointed that Red Carpet didn't provide me with a great manicure, and I feel as if I have the ability to write a poor review based on how much they charged me. read more

My daughter went to this location today and got their nails done. First, they acted like she did not have an appointment and then they ignored her while she was getting her nails done. Second, they charged her for a nail kit that she did not need and nail polish that she did not have to get. In the end, a nail set that was only supposed to be $40 to $45 dollars ended up being $71 dollars. This place is a horrible place to get your nails done because they were extremely rough with her hands as well. If you have the option to go somewhere else where you do not feel like you are being drained of money, I would suggest that you do. This is not the place to go. read more

I have been to this salon before to get dip powder nails, and they always have done a nice job, no issues at all. Today was a different story. I went to go get acrylics removed and it was a nightmare. Pretty much the cardinal rule of acrylics is that you soak them off, and not rip them, because it damages your nail bed. The technician I got used not any kind of tool; but a plastic acrylic nail tip to pry under the acrylic nail and rip it off, which was very painful and looked extremely unprofessional. I think after four nails she noticed how much I was wincing (it actually hurt more than the root canal I had gotten earlier that morning) and she did the normal method of acetone/foil soak off which was not painful and went fine after warning me that it was going to take a long time. She got both nails cleaned up though its clear that the nails that were ripped off are damaged and weaker. I understand that removal is not fun/a good moneymaking service, but putting your clients in pain through a method which any starting nail student/ person who gets acrylics could tell you is wrong isn't right, and I won't go to this salon any more after this and it will be a long time before i get acrylics done again in general. Was really excited for my gel mani-jelly pedi that I was able to schedule for yesterday, just in time for my friend's wedding (which was today). Being able to schedule online is always a plus as I also work salon hours and can't always call to schedule the rare pampering session, so this salon seemed like a good choice. Plus, it's close to home and has a Starbucks in the same parking lot...so win win! They got me right in the pedicure chair, and filled the tub for me to soak my feet in while I waited for my tech to finish with the client they were with. As the Jelly started to thicken, I realized how hot the water was, and my feet and ankles were turning bright red. I asked the nearest employee if I could have some cold water in since I was burning, and she obliged. Okay. It's cool. I'll just keep waiting...... and it got cold. The complimentary mimosa was nice though. My technician, Tony, was very friendly. Maybe a little too friendly... very chatty when I was just trying to relax and listen to my book. He also kept making very forward comments about physical features of my body (like the shape of my legs, how "good" I looked for having three kids, wanting to see my before weight loss photos, etc). It just wasn't the kind of salon etiquette I'm accustomed to. Calluses on my toes and heel were cut off with manicure scissors, which was interesting. My manicure wasn't much better. He dug/trimmed my cuticles very very thoroughly. I have to Put some neosporin on one finger where it's still irritated, however I'm more sad that my nails weren't shaped more uniformly than the cuticles thing. Sadly, I noticed tonight after leaving the wedding that the polish on one toe didn't make it through the event unscathed, despite being in closed toe shoes more than 24 hours after being put on.
