The husband was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and very capable. Unfortunately, my experience with Amiee was quite the opposite. While she is clearly skilled, her approach was surprisingly rough and unkind. During the pedicure, she repeatedly slapped my foot to indicate movement, rather than simply speaking to me. I cried out in pain three separate times due to how harshly she was working, and she never apologized or adjusted her technique. I've had many pedicures over the years and have never experienced anything like this. I've had her twice now, and both times I felt like she'd rather be anywhere else. The lack of warmth or basic care made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. In addition when I paid I was charged $40 for the same service that I was charged $25 two weeks prior. read more

My first visit to Happy Nails was 16 years ago. My son had a track meet at Jesuit High School which is right across the street. I had 2 hours between events and while my son hung out with his teammates I decided to take a walk & found Happy Nails. They take walk-in & all I had to wait was 20 mins. This business is run by a husband & wife team. Wile Amy does the pedis, she discovered that I had an issue with ingrown toe nails something I hadn't shared with her. She took care of it painlessly & has been up to this date. She also waxes & has taken care of my eyebrows for years. The pedi chairs are so comfortable & they have a great massage tone if you want. They have lots of magazines & offer coffee, water & cookies if you like while you're there enjoying the music as you wait. Love coming here as I've been coming here here for years & they feel like family. read more

The salon is a small family run, super clean, welcoming-friendly, nail salon (excellent quaility and prices) done by Brian and his wife. This was a rather frustrating visit. I was grateful that I managed to get all my errands done much sooner than I thought I would. I live in Beaverton and was in downtown on this Sunday afternoon. I really have been needing to get a pedicure. There were a few places right by where I was but was hoping to find somewhere that was on my route home so that I would not have to deal with street parking. I am currently rocking a big boot and a cane so walking a distance can be a challenge. I should have just done that. After an internet search I found Happy Nails which was by itself for that area and with the drive over it would be committing to them but their website showed them open much later than the other spots in downtown and it said walk ins welcome! I drove straight there and was a touch nervous they would have a lot of people waiting. I was so happy going in because there was one pedicure customer who seemed to have her feet wrapped at a later stage and one other customer who was getting a manicure from another tech. No one was waiting and they were still open for over an hour more. Plus their sign matched the internet saying walk ins welcome and the hours. The person doing the manicure just looked at me and said they have no appointments available today and then goodbye...like...WOW....GET OUT, in other words.... Not even an offer for an appointment in the future or anything other than an outright dismissal. If you do not want walk ins perhaps you should update the signage at your shop and on the internet so that people do not bother to drive out to your location. I won't bother to go back since they clearly do not want my business. read more

I friend referred me. Very nice pedicure. My last one lasted a long time so I came in for another.

Well, no one wins the gold every time and today was one of those times when this place missed the mark. Because a good friend goes here and because of the reviews, I sent my daughter here with said family friend to get a full set. We usually go someplace that never disappoints but she was between sets and wanted to give this place a try so she and our friend could match for a trip we are taking. When she sent me the pic of her nails I couldn't believe it. I was told by her and our friend that after length was determined, they were filed down even more. The shape doesn't look fresh or even, they hardly look like they were professionally done. She had a Mickey Mouse stamped on one and it looks messy and uneven. I called to express her disappointment and very respectfully requested removal and a refund. I was very rudely advised that his 25 years of experience are more important than anyone's opinion of his work. He didn't even offer to redo them. I've already made an appointment to have them removed and redone, tomorrow, that is how bad they look. Good thing they have an established base, I don't think their level of customer service towards new clients would gain them much return business. read more

There are such good reviews, I'm conflicted about writing a bad one. I recently had a pedicure at Happy Nails, my second there. The cuticle cutting was painful and bloody. Ultimately I got an infection in 3 toes due to the cuticle cutting. I am now on oral antibiotics. read more

His wife is quiet but also a sweetheart and an amazing nail technician. Both great people and great workers! I have been going to this place for YEARS and they never disappoint me. They do such a good work and make my nails so beautiful! Brian is so friendly and kind and can be funny. His wife Amy is also friendly but more quiet but once you get know her she is very fun to talk to. The place is small but they do such a good work unlike some other nail places that are big that I have been to that don't do very well. I have been here twice the first time I went Brian did my nails.to say the least I am very happy. Well I've been waiting for 40 minutes PAST my appointment time w/no service. Listened to the husband/wife team bicker, uncomfortable to say the least! Ok, just got cuticles trimmed OUCH!!!! Seriously the most painful mani I've ever received. Oh, now I'm back to waiting for color! What is going on here!?! Overbooked, painful mani, rush job, lack of care. It's an amazing service you can get there at Happy Nails from the owners Brian and Amy, so you will want to come back over and over again because they'll treat you with a politeness and give you the hospitality like the old friends. Brian is there for an excellent manicure regardless what you are looking for: solar, acrylic, crystal, gel or shellac in the time that you won't believe that is possible. I tried all of it until I found that shellac works best for me because my nails are thin and brittle so it helps from braking and chipping and it lasts and lasts.... And there is Amy, my favorite... Weather you have healthy nails or any foot problem or skin condition she knows how to help. At your first visit you'll learn that Amy is patient and careful doing your pedicure and regardless how busy they are. She will never rush you to grab new customer but willingly spend her time working on your feet to the perfection. Amy will give to you the service like no one else.
