This visit started off badly the moment I sat down and was asked what color I wanted on my nails. The way it was said came across as rude and insulting rather than professional or welcoming. To be clear, I have nothing against men wearing color on their nails. That is not the issue. The problem was using that assumption in a way that felt disrespectful and dismissive toward me as a customer. Customer service matters, and first impressions matter even more in a salon setting. I expect to be treated with courtesy, not sarcasm or comments that feel like a jab. Unfortunately, that interaction set the tone for the entire experience. I decided not to get the manicure. This used to be a place I enjoyed but it has gone down hill. I had an unpleasant experience several months ago and decided to try again today. I only needed dip polish removed and a traditional manicure to replace it with a neutral polish. The removal process for the dip was horrible and left my nails so thin and sore. They're sensitive and I can tell he filed down too much to get the dip off. He didn't speak English so communication was incredibly difficult. We had to use Google translate or rely on another staff member to help. I wanted my nails cut and filed shorter but it took so much effort to communicate this I ended up settling for longer - not what I wanted. In the end the polish was applied completely unevenly so I needed it removed and walked away 1.5 hours later with a little bit of clear polish on nails that are sore and uncomfortable. I could not be more disappointed with this service. And they were not even nice to balance out the poor quality of service. I won't return and would not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

For $40 for SNS powder I would hope to get better service. First the guy who did my nails was pretty rude. He asked if I had a nail kit and I said yes in my car but I had JUST gotten my pedicure done so my nails were still wet. I asked if he needed it now he said yes, he did not offer an alternative or anything. Luckily my friend was with me and got my kit for me. Secondly after he was done with the first part he said "wash hands" with no friendliness behind it. I've never been there so I had no clue where to wash my hands. Usually when I go to a place, even if I have been there for years they always professionally direct me to where I have to go. Third, take a look at my photos, oh my god. The side of 5 of my nails have the color filed off and my thumb nail was filed totally uneven. Luckily the pedicure was wonderful the lady there was super friendly and sweet. No pain or anything, very comfortable and thorough. She even made sure my nails were dry before I left. Furthermore, the lady who did my friends nails cut her nails too short and actually hurt her. She also pinched the skin around her nails when she was servicing my friend and it was overall painful for her. We're never coming back here. The only reason why it's not 1 star is because my pedicure lady was good. read more

I had a gel manicure at another place 10 days ago and it started to peel and chip. I went to LeVian to have it redone and I'm so happy with this nail salon! Hugh was great! He took the time and care to do it right. Painted it all the way to the cuticle (many salons don't do this intentionally so you have to come back more frequently). He trimmed and filed, shaped them to my liking and my nails look great. I would highly recommend and can say they care about their work and their customers. Very happy read more

I've been loyal to this salon many years but had such a terrible experience this week. My daughter was having acrylics removed so thought I would get a manicure. As soon as I saw who they put me with I was uncomfortable and should have skipped it. She seemingly deliberately hurts me each time and this time she aggressively clipped my finger. It started bleeding. She doesn't apologize or anything. Don't let THUY do your manicure. She should have other responsibilities, not direct client service. Another staff came over and put a bandaid on for me, which was appreciated. 5 days later I still can't use that hand without some pain. I walked in after many years away and was surprised to see Lily and Hugh who are both amazing and who I knew when they were in a different salon. They are both the best technicians. The salon has been updated since I was there last. It is still very clean and aesthetically pleasing....it's a great space. My only concern is that while this may be Lake Oswego, I think $40 for a pedicure is a lot. I am now on the fence since I will most likely return as long as Hugh and Lily are there but I think $40 is still too much especially for a basic pedicure. read more

What a disappointment! Tweety, yes that's right, seemed to get angry with me as soon as I said I was getting the $50 pedicure instead of the more expensive options. I had to ask twice for warmer water, and the relaxing experience I had been looking forward to was anything but. She jerked my feet around, tossed me a plastic bowl with colors and had to keep touching up the gel polish. The 'massage' was just over a minute on each calf, I timed it. There were still callusses on my feet when she was done, I pointed them out but she didn't seem to care. I complained on the way out, and he did offer to have her do more, but my THIRTY SEVEN MINUTE pedi was plenty. I came home and took care of them myself. I wish I hadn't tipped her even the $5 I did, but I won't be back. read more

I'm not a big review writer, but feel compelled after my experience. I'm giving this place 2 stars, only because the polish looks nice on my toes and my friend who came along did not have the same issue. Unfortunately, I left the salon with my toes completely cut up. To the point where walking is extremely painful. The are cuts are not only around my cuticles , but on top of my actual toes as well as in between and on the bottom. I didn't even know that was possible. Anyway, I will not be returning out of fear of getting the same person again. Like I said, my friend had a different experience. Very disappointed that my rare moment of self-care left me feeling disappointed and physically harmed. read more

I am so happy I discovered this nail salon in my neighborhood! It's a dream to have my favorite nail spot so close by and they are so good! First of all, the location is awesome, not exactly on the busiest street and has a parking lot. The building itself is very cute. Walking in its bright, clean and open. The decor is nice and they always look busy! They have like 16 pedicure chairs! I asked about bridal parties, and he said they've had quite a few. Definitely good for groups. I also love that they have what seems like hundreds of nail polish colors to choose from, I never leave with a color I don't love. I've seen a few people for my nails here and they've all been really good, my favorite? Tan, he knows how to put on a perfect set of solar or acrylic nails. He talks to you about the design and asks you your preferences frequently to make sure you're happy. I worship his work for coffin shape nails. This place doesn't skip corners. You can pick your salts for your pedicures while sipping on complimentary champagne and relaxing in their Lay Z Boy chairs at every single nail station. Love! read more

This is the closest thing I can find to CT Nails in West Hollywood! Tan is the man! (I hope I got his name right) He does a superb job and the SNS is on point!!! I've been here 3 times so far. My nails have grown out to be long enough to have the popular "coffin" shape and today was my favorite visit here by far! I got SNS again and my nails are NOT DAMAGED! Tan made them thin and elegant! See for yourself. There are several others who do SNS and they are okay but Tan is the best! There's also Tommy but he tries to flirt or something and it's kind of creepy.
