We went into this nail salon and the first thing we did was asked if the could do the design from the pictures we showed them the nail tech we had said she could. After she was finished with both sets of our nails we were left with crooked, uneven and designs that looked nothing like the pictures we showed them, that they said they could do. She took $10 off the already expensive nails when we were leaving because she knew she couldn't do the design but continued to do it anyways. The nail tech that we had was unprofessional and didn't accommodate us when we shared to her our concerns with her. If you want to get your nails professionally done be very wary of this place because you may not get what you were expecting. read more

Thats why Dola is one of my favorites... never have I had an issue getting in for a mani or a pedi with as little as 30 minutes notice. The staff is very friendly and their prices can't be beat for the treatment one receives... $25 for a 40 minute pedi... Doesn't get to much better than that!! Wanting to treat myself this weekend, I stopped into this newish nail salon for a manicure. The place is pretty gorgeous with big plush looking pedicure chairs, a wraparound bar with great ventilation for those getting acrylic nail treatments, a cool wall fountain and just a really classy vibe about the whole place. It whispers pampering. I was seated right away and had a really great manicure from a super friendly woman named Helen. She was talkative and open without being obnoxious. I could probably get a manicure pretty much anywhere in the area for less than the $14 charged, but it was nice to have a conversation with someone while they worked on my nails. Avoid Dola Nails Dola Nails has two broken chairs, number 5 and 6. The place was empty and the tech put me in chair 6. In June of last year I was given chair 5. I complained about the broken chair and left no tip. I thought I would give them another chance but once again in an empty salon I was given a broken chair. I have discriminated twice by them and will never again give them a chance. If you should make the mistake of going there know you could be discriminated against. On the way out I was told there are only two broken chairs, so why in an empty salon was I given one. There are lots of good nail places in Lake Oswego but DOLA NAILS IS NOT ONE. read more

This used to be the best place in town. There was a guy named Billy running it. It was clean,friendly, and always full. I recently returned and have been disappointed. First of all, the place is dirty. No surface is free of nail dust, bits of nails, and nothing looks clean. The manicurist talked the whole time to the woman twenty feet away, but right in my face,which felt rude because it was so loud. I had a shellac manicure. She opened the drawer, looked at various tools, and used them without having cleaned them. When I said something she wiped it with alcohol, but pulled other tools out and used them. When she finished she put them all back in the drawer for the next person. Two days later and my cuticle is inflamed and sore. I guess I won't go back. read more

My sister and I brought my dad here to get Father's Day pedicures. We planned to get the "deluxe" pedicure for him and the express pedicures for my sister and myself. We called to make 3 appointments at 1:30. Upon arriving there were many people in the salon. My sister and my dad got started and I had to wait about 20 minutes before someone acknowledged me. Before they started, the water was cold. Once getting started they changed technicians half way through my pedicure. The first girl was okay but seemed rushed to get back to her other client she had not finished. The second girl who was a young teenager used one hand to "massage" and the other to text message on her phone... Literally. The entire massage lasted six minutes and I wouldn't even call it a massage. Meanwhile my dad, who was supposed to be getting the 60 minute "deluxe" massage, had been sitting there for 30 minutes without any attention. I know men don't normally get polish but my dad normally gets clear polish and this wasn't even offered. After we were done with our pedicures, we had to take the toe separators out by ourselves and put our shoes on since no one acknowledged us after the polish was on. Overall the quality was pretty terrible, my cuticles weren't pushed back and the polish didn't go all the way to the cuticle. When I asked the cashier about the quality of the "deluxe" pedicure and overall quality of our other services, she explained that the 60 minutes for the deluxe pedicure was inclusive of nail color service and a "longer" massage. To be fair, it was "longer" than the 6 minutes I got during mine. When I pointed out my pumice stone in the bag they charged me $3 for was unused she agreed to take that $3 off but otherwise no additional discount for that bad service was offered. It's the first time I haven't left the tip and needless to say we will not be going back. read more

I expected much better quality and service from this Lake Oswego business. I went with my sister, mom, and niece for deluxe pedicures. Because it was four people, we called ahead to confirm that they could accommodate us. When we arrived I saw lots of the polish bottles were low and cruddy. I ended up paying an extra $5 for an OPI lacquer with extra shine just to get polish from a new-looking bottle. I had a decent, but nothing special, massage and pedicure. At $40, though, it was the most I've ever paid in Lake Oswego for a comparable service. Overall, though, the Dola experience for the 4 of us was sub-optimal. The technicians were not at all friendly, the salon was uncomfortably warm, and the massage chair massaged my head instead of my neck. The woman performing my pedicure had no interest in adjusting the temperature or helping to fix the massage chair settings. On top of this, my niece pointed out that her technician was talking on her phone while massaging with only one hand. One by one we noticed and watched (including my own nail tech) as the technician attempted to massage and talk on the phone at the same time. Finally, the tech saw us all watching and finally hung up, saying nothing to my niece nor offering to add time to compensate. Then, one by one our feet were placed in burning hot paraffin. One by one we asked that it be cooled. No apology or concern from any of the techs. I was the first to receive the extra hot treatment, and I have to say I like heat on my feet! The water is almost never hot enough for me, so I'm not just being a baby about the temperature of the paraffin. This was over-the-top hot. And, I understand the mistake being made once. But for each technician to do the same 3 more times...? Later, my mom realized her feet weren't exfoliated and asked about it. Her tech blamed it on her, saying it was because she didn't bring her own tool, though the tech didn't ask or offer to provide one. Turns out my sister and my niece were missing their exfoliation tools too, but their techs provided them with new ones. When we were all polished, we were abandoned for other customers. Finally I started looking around for someone to come pull our separators and collect payment. At the same time, my niece and sister noticed their poor polish jobs. A technician claimed to fix a chip in my nieces polish, then disappeared again. But the nail was still chipped! Same for my sister. In the end, we just wanted to get out of this hot, terrible salon. To summarize, here's what the 4 of us received: 2 ok pedicures 2 bad pedicures-- my niece's one-handed massage + the skipped exfoliation on my mom. 1 ok polish-- mine 3 terrible polishes-- and the techs didn't care about fixing them. All for $40 each, not including tip. What a disappointment. There are several salons in Lake Oswego that do much better pedicures/polishes. Go to one of those salons. Do not go to Dola! read more

Great salon with friendly nail techs! They did a wonderful job on my back fill and pedicure. And they do dip powder nails! I just got a basic pedicure which included a long massage and the hot wax which I loved as that's usually a deluxe service. Also I stubbed my toe on a door and broke my whole toenail off and they used acrylic to fix it, it looks seamless and perfect right before I have to be in a wedding! This is my go-to place! My only suggestion may be doing nails and toes at the same time and some wine or champagne offered would be lovely. Thank you Dola I will be back! read more

Came here and brought my kids here for a manicure . Nice women but she rushed through it which made the girls day together less relaxing. We came right when it opened so there was no one else to help.. Just us. I've never seen someone paint two girls nails as fast as she did. There was even a fan offered at the end to dry their nails (when there was one next to her) . I guess we would have enjoyed the experience more if they provided a good experience for the children where we all didn't feel rushed to get out of there. read more

They fit two of us in right away for both manicure and pedicure. Everywhere else was booked up but this is a larger space with many technicians. Nice and friendly, not too much up selling. The basic pedicure had a very nice and long leg massage and parafin dip. Prices are average, end result meets expectations. I made an appointment yesterday for a manicure and was HUGELY disappointed in the service! As I sit here writing this review I'm mad I even had to pay for the disaster that happened. 5 minutes into my manicure a regular customer of the woman doing my nails walked in and requested a manicure. Hey sat her two tables down and my manicurist left me sitting to start her regular customer's (who DID NOT have an appointment) nails. While she was soaking her nails they rushed through my manicure, skipping my massage completely!!!!!! and did a half-ass paint job. The paint then fired with bubbles and a sand paper texture (maybe because they let me sit 10 minutes between coats so she could attend to the other customer). I asked why I didn't get a massage and they said they thought I had gotten one, didn't offer to do a massage, and I had to ask to have my nails repainted! Which looked like sand paper the second time, so they had to be repainted a third time! This entire experience took and hour and a half!!!!!!!! All because I was left to sit while the "more important" customer was taken care of. In the end I asked for a discount, since I only got half a manicure, which the begrudgingly gave me. In hindsight I cannot believe they had me pay at all! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! What horrible customer service! read more

This place is fantastic. The staff is always courteous and very professional, the place is immaculately clean, and the pedicure chairs are plush and comfortable (not to mention they MASSAGE!). The great thing is, you can bring in your own coffee to drink while you get your nails done. They do take credit cards now, so you don't have to worry about that. If you don't want the SPA pedicure, make sure you say so right away, otherwise you might get it without asking; however, it is worth it! Sea salt scrub, parafin, the works! Its fantastic! I came here last Friday at 4:30pm (on a referral as I am looking for a new place closer to where I live other than the nail place I have religiously gone to for 5 years) for a deluxe pedi, shellac mani and brow wax. I was not impressed. I gave it one star because their massage chairs are awesome. That is it. My deluxe mani was anything but-the first girl working on my toes was rough, I asked twice for a softer touch and while she acknowledged it, it didn't happen. My toes were not filed after she clipped only selected toes-nor were they buffed or the cuticles shaped. For a basic pedi anywhere they do this. I expected the massage part to be great after how rough she was on my toes, it was weak. Then there was someone else who came to paint my toes and it was mediocre-I can do better. On to the shellac. I noticed no one cleaned the tub I had my feet in either. Same deal with the shellac-she tried clipping my cuticles and by "try" I mean she flicked it with her own nail and pretended to clip them. The tools she used were straight out of a drawer and not in any sterilized solution. She did not file any of my nails and buffed 2. The color I picked for my shellac was almost empty along with the base and top coat, but she was feverishly trying to get every spec of polish out of it. I could clearly see it wasn't covering my nail fully even though she painted like it was. I mentioned it was empty and the paint was not there and she repainted the area with no paint after she dipped back into the empty bottle. What?! I was shared one UV lamp between hands (stick one hand in while she paints the other) without the timing being consistent to dry my shellac it's no wonder that by Monday (2 days after the paint job) my shellac has chipped and the paint has cracked already. I can go 3 weeks without my shellac chipping or cracking at any other place... My man doesn't know anything about shellac, but he noticed all the bubbles in 5 of my fingernails. I mentioned the bubbles to her and she nodded and tried to paint over them with the same dry brush-then shoved my hand in the uv lamp. Fail. While I was there a woman came in and complained her nails chipped after 2 days...this should of been my sign to run. But I was thinking maybe she had highly oiled nails that day or who knows, I was trying to be optimistic! I do not have time (it took 2 hours for my mani/pedi) to go back and have them redo the crappy job that was done. There was NO WAY I was letting them near my brows. I will not be back. For the $70 I paid, I am highly dissatisfied. read more

But the booking staff SUCKS. They will give you any appointment you ask for, and tell you a particular tech is available, but it isn't always true. I had a pedicure at this salon today. This was my first time there (as well as my friend, Marissa's first time).The overall pedicure was pretty standard. I felt that they did not go out of their way to make it an especially good one and it certainly was not on my top list of best pedicures because of lack of attention to detail, the shaping of my nails / length etc. The parafin wax part was the worst - it was so hot that it burned my feet. Because I had to pull my feet out of it before I even dipped them in all the way, the wax had basically cooled before it did any good for my feet. They tried to kind of cool off my feet by placing them in cold water (while in the parafin wax in the bags) but my feet literally felt burned and like I had blisters under the skin. My friend, Marissa, had a worse time overall. This was her very first pedicure ever! The man who helped her was rude and seemed to only want to cut corners to make his job easier. She asked for her nails to be clipped shorter and he argued that they were already short. She also had her feet burned by the parafin wax and instead of being sympathetic or taking responsibility, he only said that she must not like parafin wax. This is bogus because I have had parafin wax many times and have loved it. This was the first time I have ever experienced being burned. He did not help her cool down her feet with cold water. When he painted her toes, he did not include a top coat. When she asked for a top coat he argued that the glitter that she had was her top coat but begrudgingly put a top coat on. I would not go back again.. I don't live close by and the okay service does not make it worth the money. In these times with money being tight, I will spend it where I get the best service and this is not the place. read more

I've been here a few times for pedicures with a girl friend and I've been happy with their services each time. The place is clean, the chairs are comfortable, they have a ton of polishes to choose from and they do a great job. The pedicures range from 25-45 bucks and even better they last for a good month. They used to do a decent job with a nice long massage, but the last two times it's been awful. First time she watered down the nail polish because it was too thick, and a day later when I put my shoes on I got sock marks. It completely dried by then. Next time I had a younger girl who was so tentative I could tell she was not comfortable. Why is it when you have your natural nails done they only quickly pass over pushing the cuticles back? I need mine to be PUSHED back all the way across the nail, not just one swipe down the middle. read more

I love this salon. I've gone to so many nail places, and this is by far the best. I agree that it's cold as hell inside, but the techs are so awesome and friendly! They will do literally ANY design you may find on pinterest and their shellac lasts for weeks. I always get compliments on my nails when I go there. I had to move out of the area to Gresham and I still make the trip all the way to LO just to get my nails done. Also, one day I brought my two year old son into the salon with me and he really loved getting his nails painted, so they gave him a mani-pedi and played with him....for free. One of the most unsanitary nail salons I have ever been to. They set their tools on the floor and I have never seen them put or take tools out of a sanitizing solution. I have also never seen them thoroughly clean out the pedicure tubs and when I asked if I could get a clean pedicure chair because mine had soap foam in it they gave me attitude. After the whole unsanitary experience I got the worst ingrown toe nails because they did not clip them correctly. They are obviously not well trained on sanitation or proper techniques. read more

I had a pedicure here today and it was really not very good. The massage was VERY SHORT - about 5 minutes long. The jets on my pedicure chair did not work. My friend complained that the water in her tub was cold. We were there for well over an hour and not because we were pampered, but mainly because I think the nail technicians were too busy to remove our nail separators so we could leave. We finally removed our toe separators and left on our own. We complained when paying for our pedicures about the experience. The woman at checkout was very apologetic, explaining that the salon was very busy (she did say that our massages should have been 12 minutes). Frankly, I would rather have been told that the salon was too busy than have someone book an appointment when she/he knows I can't be accommodated. I would recommend going to this salon only when it's clear that it is not a busy time. read more
