I recently started coming here to get my nails done after my friend recommended them and I'm so happy I did. In the past I've had some really bad experiences at nail salons where the nail techs were really rough with the mechanical files and rude when I would ask them to be more gentle or to file my nails a certain way. Luckily I haven't experienced anything like that here. I've been getting my nails done with Agnes and she's amazing. She is patient, hard working, and you can tell that she takes pride in doing great work and ensuring that her clients are happy. This is a family owned salon full of great nail techs who are all super friendly. The prices are also incredibly fair and hard to beat. Just tried this place and sadly it disappointed me - got a simple basic mani / pedi no gel or polish and it was horrible! The pedi the tech didn't even do the corners of my toenails which can be susceptible to ingrown toenails. Also, the shaping was horrible! The mani was even worse ( eek ) again bad shaping! I just felt like I was their first client ever! And the worse part was the price - I was thinking $50 ( $25 for mani and $25 for pedi ) since again I got no polish at all not even a clear coat! Nope $75! Like what? I will not be returning! Back to my old salon or a different one! HORRIBLE! Ugh! So sad! read more

I recently moved into the area and this was my first experience here. Each of the nail techs were friendly, everyone was chatty but in a pleasant and welcoming way. The nail tech that worked with me was WONDERFUL. I wanted the glitter flakes added to my ring finger, they made the top coating feel sharp and jagged. I have been coming here for 15 years and I trust anyone there to serve a quality mani or pedi. They've also done a huge update in the aesthetic, they usually have a chill playlist going, and they're so friendly. If I want a more complicated design for my nails, I'd schedule with Agnes. I just came out of Capitol nails and unfortunately my pedicure was rushed. The nail tech didn't do anything that should of been done. Didn't cut nails or take any of dead skin nothing at all. She did slap on the exfoliating scrub and rinsed it off immediately massaged and then painted my nails and worst part was my toe nail were painted terrible, I've could just done it my self. It really sucked! It really suck to give a bad review but when you pay for this you should get what you are paying for. I'd give it 5 stars if the table & chairs were more comfortable, and I was cold. Great service though! That's most important to me. I wish I could say it was the full experience, I won't. I was able to walk-in and get immediate service, that's nice! Clean, great color selection. I will certainly go back to see Robin for gel nails again! My friend and I go here for quarterly CBD pedicures and love them. The staff is so friendly and professional. They are also very engaged with their customers, which feels very special and personal. I have had a few issues with my toenails in the past (cracked nail or brittle/ weak nail) and the salon owner has helped me remedy the issue multiple time, often not charging me for adding an acrylic cover, ect. I had a Shellac manicure chip on one nail a few days after having them done, and the salon fixed it free of charge. I don't have enough good things to say about Capitol Nails! Three stars because my friends nails looked good, but I wasn't happy with the service I got. The Pedicure wasn't much at all, she hardly exfoliated my feet, it was like a light 30 second scrub on each foot. Barely got off any dry skin at all. I'd scrub harder than that and more thoroughly in a rushed shower in the morning. And she didn't even massage my feet. My friend got a nice foot massage by the man doing hers. And one of my toenails was painted on only one half! Then my manicure, was NOT painted cleanly at all. They look really messy. Also, I asked for stiletto nails, I explained to her how I wanted them multiple times, I showed her a ton of pictures and asked for shorter length. They're still really long, I had her correct them so many times to the point I felt bad and just said they were good because I was already there for so long and felt like it was rude to keep correcting her. And she didn't massage my hands or anything just oiled my cuticles and said I was done. For both of us to get mani pedis it took 3 hours! And we got them done at the same time. My friends was done like an hour and a half before mine were. It was also extremely expensive for doing so little. $75 dollars for just my mani pedi. And didn't even get messaged or anything at all. I've paid less than that places even adding extras like paraffin dips and mimosas. I definitely will not go back there again. read more

I uploaded a photo of my mani it for reference. I took my friend here for her birthday. Got identical acrylic manicures for a total of $75 (/w tip). They were not identical. My friend asked to have hers reshaped multiple times, the women just could not file a point. Her French tips were uneven and sloppy. The next day the top of her nail just broke off. I felt terrible and thought I was just her nails. But no, it's been about a week and a half and I've lost 3 nails. That's fake nail and the tip it rips off. I've been going to this place for a couple years and I've always had good experiences. I always get shellac on my natural nails so I can't speak of their fake nails manis but I've always been super happy with the manis I get. They always give a really good hand massage for each mani too. Capitol Nails always give really good foot and calf massage when they do pedis. They have a really big selection of different gel colors! I usually change my color every time I go in. They don't normally use the metal scrubber during pedicures but you can ask them to use it for no extra charge. I read another review saying that Capitol Nails don't have paraffin wax or hot stones but they have both. They also have a good selection of normal nail colors. All in all I like going there and have and would suggest the place to a friend. read more

This place is great! They have an iPad full of movies so you never see the same thing twice. They have a huge collection of nail colors. I came in with a color I liked as "normal" nail polish and wanted to get it as shellac and they matched it perfectly for me. I've had my pedicure for 3 weeks now and it still looks as good as the day I got it. The location is clean and the staff is very friendly. I unfortunately forget my tech's name because she was amazing. I suspect she may be the owner. I have long acrylics and the nail place I had gone to previously did a really awful job. Visually, they looked fine but they were structurally weak. I had 3 nails break and it was incredibly painful--I've never had this happen before. I came to Capitol Nails and it took the tech one hour to remove them because they were done so poorly. She was so gentle and sweet. My nails look great now and I'll definitely be back! read more
