The entrance to get in is all the way at the end, past where you can see into the windows to the nail stations. Upon entering you will be met with a friendly staff member at their front desk/bar. You'll check in on an iPad. I was told I would have about a ten minute wait, as a walk in but I waited less time than that. I was sat with a woman who started my full set right away. As she was starting to put the tips on she kept misplacing them and then ripping them off my nails to reset them. However, she stopped that when she got to my other hand. **update: never received response even when I reached out directly. I suggest going to Bridgeport nails down the road. I came in for a basic pedicure but was repeatedly pressured to upgrade to gel until I finally gave in. I felt uncomfortable throughout the entire appointment, and unfortunately, the result didn't even look good. On top of that, the technician pushed me to leave a tip, asking several times and insisting I use Venmo. I won't be back--it's too expensive and the high-pressure environment isn't worth it. I have had around 10 manis and 4 pedis I. This salon and they have all been average to good. Today, I had a gel pedi by Hana which was very good! Then I had a gel mani by a woman who did not give me her name. It felt like she was trying to do the mani as fast as possible while yanking my hands, fingers to whatever position she needed. Despite, aggressively trying to take off the nail polish on my skin with her fingernails after every coat and, at one point, picking dried polish off of my skin like a scab, I still have my nails glued to my skin in some places and polish all around my nails. I many places the polish is rough and has a sort of matte coating on it, even though (after I asked) she wiped them with alcohol at the end. Definitely not a relaxing time and one of the worst gel manis I have ever gotten (with a gentleman sitting there watching the whole thing happen! Was she learning? Then she didn't he help her do a better job? Not clear.) I have had many good experiences there and it is nice to have a glass of wine to relax while having a mani/pedi. However, I don't want to roll the dice and pay for this experience again. read more

Had an appt for my daughter and I for pedicures. We get there and the man checking us in was very pushy on upgrading us to a higher more expensive package. Then when I declined her started pushing gel and again I declined. He laughed in my face infront of my 4 year old because I didn't want to upgrade. I asked if something was wrong and he just smirked and said no. We then waited for 30 minutes for the chair next to the kids chair to open up (I had an appt and they knew she was 4). After waiting I decided to leave but not before telling the man how rude and uncomfortable he made me feel. I've had bad service here before and should have known better but I'm going on vacation and my regular salon was not available on such short notice. After a stressful couple of weeks, I decided to treat myself to a manicure (and MAYBE a pedicure?) in the area where I work. I hadn't had my nails done in years (okay, over a decade!) and while the atmosphere was pleasant and roomy, I was overwhelmed by all the options/pricing on the menu of Nail Services when I walked in for my appt. Before I could ask about it, I was whisked to a (very nice) waiting nail technician. I tried to ask for clarification but discovered to my dismay that we had a communication barrier (mostly on my end). I was embarrassed about it, so I just sat and let her work, but I started feeling more stressed as time passed, to the point that I just wanted to pay and leave. DONT GO HERE!!! My eyelash extensions were so messed up, I lost more than half of my real lashes! The girl clumped my lashes together with glue, instead of taking her time and doing it a lash at a time.(like you're suppose to!) I had such huge clumps of glue on my eyes, it was scratching my eye!! I wish I could offer a better review. The ambiance of the salon is nice and I can tell the owners tried to make it relaxing for guests. However, the pedicure was VERY very rushed and not thorough in any way. I had a dip manicure as well and the results were just awful, very bumpy and it took a super long time (my usual nail technician at a different salon has me in and out in 45 minutes usually). I think if Luxor improves their pedicure (with a longer and more thorough massage and scrub) and works on their dip technique, then the place would be a good option. But I don't think I'll be returning unfortunately. read more
