This bar is cute in decor but omg the bartenders are such douche bags!! They have this I'm too cool to care attitude. There straight up RUDE!! They act like there doing you a favor. The bartenders doesn't say anything and nods to take my order. Serves me my drinks wrong and then gives an attitude for asking for a splash of cranberry. Then the bartenders have time to do shots with each other but not provide good service. I even heard the bartender get into a fight with another couple bar and instead of just apologizing he stands there and argues with them about his attitude! LOL!! I was there for a vegan event and he told this girl he was arguing with how much he doesn't like vegans! Wow ok! The worst service I've gotten in long time. I'm from this neighborhood and tired of these Wannabe hipsters giving attitudes to the locals! That business won't last long.. read more

Sometimes I don't think a bar can possibly offer more. Reclamation continues to serve the most delicious, well crafted drinks this side of the east River and comes with a beautiful ambiance to boot. As a father of five, I have to say that I love Reclamation Bar! It's a prefect place to relax and let the pressures of family life melt away while downing a few cold Pilsners. There's even a game of shuffleboard which is great because I can chose whether to play a game against a kind stranger or just appreciate that it's there without playing at all; not like at home, where I seem to be constantly dragged into playing some endless board game or playing some meaningless card game or reading out loud another dreadful story about animals with rich interior lives. At Reclamation Bar nobody bullies you into playing shuffleboard and everyone seems to be able to go to sleep without my reading them a story that they've already heard MANY, MANY TIMES BEFORE. In fact, Reclamation Bar is a perfect place to reclaim a little piece of the life you once knew before you had children - when you took life's little freedoms for granted. There's also a gas station convenience store across the street that's a perfect place for young children to kill a few hours while their father decompresses. read more

It's a nice, funky place inside and just far enough from the beaten path to feel neighborhoody and unpretentious. I've been to this bar maybe a dozen times and always had a *great* night. The beer selection is constantly updated and, more importantly, is served in proper imperial pint glasses (i.e. 20oz not 16oz pours). The sandwiches (from a local artisinal shop) are great and keenly priced for what they are. And the music / lighting gives the whole place a fairly relaxed / chilled vibe, much like the bouncer's attitude. read more

Last week was my big 3-0 bday and I decided that I wanted to pick a bar in Williamsburg (or East Williamsburg, whatever) to celebrate with 15-20 of my closest friends. I found Reclamation Bar and shot them an email on Thursday just giving the heads up that I'd be coming in the next day with a big group pretty early on. Kacie from Reclamation emailed me within 2 hours, offering to reserve a table and a slick ass throne seat for me to sit in. This bar is great, it's music is low enough that you can actually talk with friends, the $5 happy hour mason jars are delicious and the bar itself is spacious and sleek. I really loved this place and how awesome the staff was. Seriously, I will be back for happy hour whenever I can. read more

We decided to check out this place after seeing it on line and really digging the look and feel of the place from the pictures. It was not bad, but what we found was that the atmosphere did not really match the look or design. I am biased, though, anytime music in an establishment misses the mark--in this case, corny 80's music on a Friday night. I think I was expecting arm tats and beards (not that this in any way makes a bar), but got more Coyote Ugly meets Prohibition Era..? The bright gas station lights across from it is also is a contrast from what the bar is trying to go for (I think?), and they could do well to shade or dim their windows. I will say that my cocktail, with Mezcal, made by the brunette in shorts and leg tattoos, was phenomenal! I wish I could remember the name of it. read more

Great bar in the area and they accept credit cards unlike most of the other bars nearby. It's also in a good location. This place sucks worse than a pile of steaming dog poo. I have never ever been ignored by a bartender like I have at this place. I joined my friends who already had their drinks, grabbed a menu, made a selection and politely waited for the bartender. The bar was NOT busy at all. I waited a good 5 minutes and then started to wave to the bartender. Still no dice. He passed by me several times and each time, I tried waving and saying excuse me. Keep in mind I was sitting AT THE BAR. I wasn't trying to squeeze in behind a group of people. After 10 minutes my friends were annoyed too and we collectively started waving and shouting excuse me. A good 15 minutes later, he strolled over as though he just noticed us. Either he's suffering from an acute case of stupidity or he's a complete prick. Or both. The worst part is that he was just as bad when it came to ordering a 2nd round. Even managed to screw up my friends' drinks making them the wrong thing. Eff this place. read more

This is the worst bar, Jade the bartender is the worst bartender ever!! Slow, frequently completely incomprehensible and extremely unprofessional; I asked for my check at 2:15 and didn't receive it till a few moments before 4 AM. When I asked her about this, I kept getting put off. Apparently, I took a regular out to dinner who is incredibly nasty person and finally sent her home in exasperation which has led to me being blacklisted! Stupid, petty and vindictive people should not be working at bars and ruining the reputation of their place of employment; I will never set foot in this place again and will never ever recommend it to another person, not even my worst enemy deserves to be ignored and have their time wasted because some horrible woman didn't get more of a free dinner read more

Had a great night at Reclamation Bar. That it's a stone's throw from the Graham St. station stop was convenient. In fact, everything about the bar seems designed for comfort. There's seating for just about any vibe you're in, if that means bar stool, tabletop; or somewhere between indoors and outdoors in the enclosed courtyard. It was especially cold the night I was there, so we stayed inside where there is plenty of space "to take off your coat and stay awhile." During the stretch of hours that I was there, even though quite a few people stopped in, I never felt confined or that we couldn't have a conversation. The music was handpicked and timely. And there was such a variety of beer and spirits that I wanted a little guidance, so the bartender with the big smile recommended two different small-batch bourbons. Came to this bar so many times with amazing customer service. Came today 9/29 around 10 with a friend. I couldn't believe how disgusting & rude the bartender was. She had brown hair , shoulder length, a little longer , pale light skinned, oh my goodness. I couldn't believe it. I came here so many times before with such amazing service , she honestly ruined this place for me , she was miserable & upset to even be there. I honestly have no idea why they have they have her working as a bartender when it's clear she doesn't like People. She was rude the whole night but the bathroom trip was the last straw , I see her walking from the bathroom & ask if someone's in there's. She's says something like check for yourself & literally bumps me. I couldn't believe her attitude. I live close though so I'm just hoping to see her soon. read more

Friendly service, fun games for those of us who get bored and like activities while imbibing (shuffleboard & Killer Queen), good music and yummy drinks (the spicy margarita is delicious). Stopped in last night on my walk home from the Graham subway. It is halfway between my house and the subway - and it was so damn cold last night that I stepped in for the first time. I sat at the bar and ordered a hot toddy with a generous poor of whiskey - just the thing I needed! The bar looks awesome - but still manages to feel homey, and the hot toddy was just what I needed to thaw out from the freezing temperatures outside.
