Stumbled upon this gem looking for a quick drink before dinner. Amazing, cozy vibes that can also accommodate a medium sized group. Love that HH is available. Service was fast and efficient, what not to love? I'll definitely be back.

A pint glass filled with Guinness stout, featuring a dark body and a thick, creamy head, is positioned on a white napkin on a textured bar table. The background shows a blurred view of the pub interior, including chairs and tables, indicating a social setting.

Epic, friendly, generous, comfortable, low key. They know how to build a proper Guinness and that's about all I'm looking for.

A great find! Feels a little speakeasy ish because it's in the basement and there in nice seating, but definitely gets more rowdy. I've had the espresso martini and loved it every time! The bartenders are always very nice and there is usually an attractive Irish crowd.

Two men are seated on a leather couch in an indoor setting with a stone wall background. The man on the left, with dark hair, is making a facial expression and holding a phone, while the man on the right, with brown hair, has his arm around his companion's shoulders. The lighting is low, creating a cozy atmosphere.

Is it a bar? Is it a club? Is it an underground after hours venue? All I know is it's an Irish bar (pronounced "The Crack") that plays amazing music with Irish bartenders who make delicious drinks. Absolutely immaculate vibes. Whether you're on a date, itching for a post-work midweek beer, or looking to get weird (see below)- make sure to check out the crack!

Had two nice beers with a very friendly bartender. There was live music and lots of comfy couches and seating to get familiar with!

Isle of Skye has become our local haunt; the bar I always wanted to be literally across the street from my house.

They had a bunch of collabs with other breweries so their taps were filled with wonderful selection of cool beers. I got here when it opened grabbed a seat at the bar. I didn't catch her name but the bartender was super nice and we chatted a bit. This bar has two tvs in the bar area and some tables in the back. It also has an outdoor area which I did not get to check out unfortunately. The only downside is, is that there is no food served here. But the upside is that you can get free Pop-corn! If you have not been here before, I would suggest stopping by. By the way whoever does their social media is super great!

But the reason I keep coming back - the sheer selection of incredible and unique beers (and reasonably priced for that manner!). Everything from the desthil spicy sour pickle beer to many variations to le chouffe, you can't go wrong! Oh and they have free popcorn as well... tough to pass up! Service has always been friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. I can already see myself back there for the next time I'm craving some delicious craft beer!

Definitely worth another trip. I got the Cajun club (w/o tomatoes) sandwich and the frozen margarita. Both were soooo good! The place might be small but it's big on the "home away from home"/chill atmosphere!

I chose this place because I had visited a few times in the past and expected a positive environment. While there, I ran into an old friend who was accompanying individuals with special needs. They informed us about the R&B karaoke event, and we attempted to participate respectfully and supportively. Unfortunately, after participating, the DJ became rude and dismissive. My friends decided not to continue because each time they attempted to request a song, the DJ was unkind and impatient, seemingly unaware--or unconcerned--that they were individuals with special needs. The situation escalated when I attempted to calmly address the disrespect. Instead of listening, the bartender repeatedly accused me of being drunk simply because I was defending myself after a rude comment. I was not intoxicated; I was advocating for respectful treatment. Even the DJ's own companion appeared visibly shocked by the comment made toward me, as if anticipating a reaction. I remained composed and professional despite being deeply upset. What disappointed me most was the staff's decision to defend the DJ's behavior rather than acknowledge how inappropriate and disrespectful the interaction was. This reflects poorly on how this establishment treats people--especially those who deserve patience, understanding, and dignity. I came expecting an enjoyable brunch experience and left feeling ashamed for having trusted this place. It is clear that the venue prioritizes protecting mediocre DJs with minimal local popularity over treating customers with basic respect. Poor organization, lack of proper event management, and unprofessional staff behavior made this experience unacceptable. I have visited many establishments and have never felt so disrespected. I will not be returning.

The venue is pretty spacious they have a back dining area, a big bar when you enter and a full bar upstairs. There's a ton of televisions if you are watching sports as well. They have a pretty deep beer menu which I loved. The food menu is Irish influenced bar bites. We had the wings which were nice and crispy. The center of attention was the waffle fries nachos. You can't go wrong with a potato vehicle to fresh toppings. All and all great fun spot for sports and gatherings. Also this is a melting pot. Various ages, groups, backgrounds, saw a few families. All are welcome. One flaw is St. Patty it appeared that our waiter who was superb was the only one working so it was a bit of chase to close out.

In general, I like the mellow / peaceful vibes of outer borough NYC Irish pubs at lunchtime. McMahon's did not disappoint. Solid buffalo chicken wings & good burger. I am also post fries (I will try one or two of yours, but I don't need an order of fries for myself.), so can't comment on the fries. They also make a mean Caesar salad. The Caesar & buffalo wings are pretty much my metric for all Irish pubs. McMahon's would def be in the upper 50th percentile. There are a bunch of negative reviews for this spot on here for when they are very busy, on Barclays Center game nights and / or weekends. I feel like, if you read between the lines, it's people coming in groups when it's busy acting entitled. The staff at lunch has been nothing but courteous, w/ excellent service. Also, very clean inside, & food was good quality / fresh ingredients. There are almost no Irish pubs in this area open for lunch anymore at all - thank goodness this is a good one!
