How horrible experience that I had from visiting this place! I visited Christine's with my two…read morekids. The owner was very rude when she saw the kids. The kids were not touching anything, they were just looking around like grown-ups do. The owner told me to hold onto the kids so that they would not play with the candle light which my kids did not even attempt to play with. My son tried to climb up to the chair to seat down, but the owner told him to get down. My daughter who loves fashion was walking away from me to look around while I was getting my son from the chair, and the owner directed me to get my daughter, and told me that her store was not for kids and asked for us to leave. When we were just leaving, I heard her saying "the lawsuit to be waiting" Hey, I understand that the kids are active. However, her attitudes were extremely rude. All I want was a nice scarf since it was little chilly. My kids did not cause any problem in her store. They are very good kids, and the matter in fact, I get many compliments from strangers how well my kids behave. With my husband being a pediatric psychologist, we try our best to teach our kids with very best behavior with good ethics. Any mom will understand the difficulty of shopping with kids. I did not expect any support from anybody, but I certainly did not expect such a shameful treatment by any business. It was even embarrassing to talk with her in front of the other customer. Was that a discrimination against kids? Or since I was an Asian, she didn't want me in her store!?

The owner of this place clearly SHOULD NEVER be in retail. She is rude and a total snob...she looks at you like your bothering her.... 10 yrs yes 10 yrs....Later....2012..I told the women I work with about how horrible she is.... And that story......so for fun we got ice cream...and strolled down to her store...we walked in and mind you we are 30-40 year olds ...business women...she told us "I don't want food in here." as if we would spill or wipe dirty hands on something! The ice cream was in a bowl..not a cone..needless to say it proved my point to my co worker! I wonder if her husband pays for her store... It would explain her lack of liking people or good sales? Don't give this lady your money.....she won't crack a smile of gratitude.

I've shopped here on and off over the last 20 years since I've lived in the area. Everybody says go…read moreto Nordstrom rack. Well over that 20-year time period I can probably count on one hand how many times I walked out of there with something worthwhile. For one thing the store is always in a fair amount of disarray. The racks are overcrowded. Too many items where they just have one or two things and it's really hard to find what you want in your size. A lot of stuff on the floor and if you do find something you love you have to wonder if it was stepped on or rolled over by a cart at some point. The prices probably are more reasonable if you do find something but you really got to dig. The thing that really burns my hide is the line. It's been long often in the past but it could be worthwhile if you found something. This most recent time I went the line was ridiculous. I would guess there was 35 or 40 people in line and three cashiers. The people were lined up all the way to the dressing room. I expect this if I go in Ross or the Goodwill. Not Nordstrom rack. Never again. But I want to give credit where credit is due, the cashiers despite the crushing workload where personable and did not display any stress despite the obvious frustration of everyone staring at them doing their job. Thank you for what you're doing, and hang in there ladies!

Treasures and Teas - Black Current Tea and Organic Japanese Bancha

They sell in a minimum of 2 oz for most, unless they cost more than $5 per oz. Most are $4-ish per oz. I had a very fun time chatting with the lady about the types of tea, the flavor notes, brewing process, and more. It is so obvious that we are both tea lovers. Since I am also a tea hoarder, I chose ones that I didn't already have which can be difficult. Lol. Luckily, she suggested I try the organic Japanese Bancha which is somewhat adjacent in flavor to Kukicha, a Japanese tea using only green tea stems. The bancha is a subset of sencha. I also chose a black current tea; the aroma is captivating! Other than tea, they sell many gift items, including clothing. It is a very fun place to browse, shop, and sample a small cup of tea in their thermos.

I've been on quite the tea-kick lately, so stumbling on a local biz filled with dried leaves and rare goods, really got me excited. Half of the store is dedicated to tea and tea accessories. Their largest wall showcases dozens of cannisters of fresh dried teas. The assortment is astounding, you're guaranteed to find one that fits your flavor profile. They also have tastings onsite, though the flavors are rather limited. The accessories were top notch. I couldn't help but fall in love with the many tea pots, mugs, and unique goodies you can't find anywhere else. I grabbed a number of green tea blends to take home. I've noticed that including a cup of tea with fresh leaves has really added some excitement to my daily gratitude practice.
