But we were there regularly in the evenings & weekends cleaning & painting to get the house ready to sell. I had to call him more & more about them skipping visits. I finally had it when I went to the house & the yard & sidewalks were blanketed with leaves. I called Aldo & told him his crew no showed yet again. He lied & said yes they did that he was even with them. Not only was it obvious they hadnt, the green wasted cans were empty & we checked the security camaras. It was a flat out lie. Not once did he call & say we missed this week etc. He was expecting to get paid for work they never did. My brother & I were grieving, both working full time jobs & trying to fix up the house. The last thing we needed was to have to do the yards also. But since Aldo was flaking & dishonest we had to take care of the yards ourselves. Save your money & find a more reliable & reputable company.

I hired Tom Bates from Reasonable Tree Services to trim eight Redwoods and a large Sycamore tree in my yard. His estimate was almost half of the other estimate I received. He gave me the name and phone number of his insurance agent and I called to make sure he was fully covered. He and his crew of four came at the scheduled day and time and spent all day on the project. They thinned out the Redwoods and removed dead debris so that the wind could blow through them. The Sycamore was quite overgrown so they thinned it out quite a bit. It should grow in well. They brought a wood chipper and removed all the cut branches and cleaned and left everything in good shape. Before they left, I decided to have a few more trees done. Since I was going on vacation, I paid Tom in advance for the work and he came back later and completed the project. My experience was that Tom's estimates are reasonable, he is honest and trustworthy, his work was very good, he was reliable and easy to reach via phone. He treats his crew well and they all worked very well as a team. The crew was very personable and respectful. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. read more

Fast service in responding to phone messages. We had an emergency with a fallen tree on New Years Day and he came out w/in an hour of us calling, gave us a very reasonable quote and took care of the tree the same day (including stump removal). While he was here we asked for a quote to trim our 25' ash tree (that has never been trimmed), prune our queen palm and cut back our 3 Italian cypresses away from the house. The quote included a description of the work to be performed and the total cost. There was no pressure to schedule or commit. We did have home come back out and take care of our backyard trees. He arrived right on time and came with a large enough crew to tackle the large job. They prepped the backyard to insure our yard decorations and lights were not damaged during the work process. They did an incredible job cleaning up the yard when they were done and put everything back the way it was. Highly recommended! read more

All of the positive reviews posted are correct. I met Tom at the C.C. Home & Garden show in Concord and he promoted their efficiency and low prices, I thought it could be a lot of hype, but, he was accurate in his pitch. Tom and his team arrived at my home in Brentwood when they said that they would, complete with ladders, power equipment, tree eater and a truck to complete the task of a 30' tree removal and the pruning of two large plum trees. Without hesitation, they jumped into the project and were done within 2 hours. They ground down the stump and cleaned up the yard. Tom Bates gave reasonable estimate for work we wanted done. When he was unable to come when he was first scheduled, he called beforehand and made new arrangements. His crew showed up on time and worked quickly and professionally. Tom was there to supervise and pointed out some other problems that needed to be addressed, then offered a very reasonable price and immediately took care of the problems. At the conclusion, Tom walked around our yard, pointed out all the things that had been done and we were pleased. The clean up at the end of the job was also impressive. We met Tom at the Home and Garden Show a couple of weeks ago. He seemed like a good candidate for removal of some very tall trees on our hillside that were posing a danger to our house. Our instincts were correct. He gave a very fair estimate and got the job done in two days. Dozens of trees of various sizes were removed, stumps ground, and we were left with a big pile of wood chips on our driveway. He also did a great job trimming our redwood trees. I called Reasonable Tree Service for a quote to perform overdue maintenance on two Camphor trees. Tom provided a quote and made suggestions as to how to shape and thin them.
