Called for a quote, the gentleman that came out was very knowledgeable about the trees I wanted trimmed. Suggested 2 methods. I did get quoted a cheaper price from another company, but decided to go with chandler's. The day they came out to trim the trees, there was about 6-8 guys. Very friendly, kept me informed on the process. Cleaned everything up better then i could ask. Jumped the fence to pick up debris that fell in neighbors yard (neighbor was aware) A+ service. They cut a huge elm tree in our backyard, they bring a solid crew, very diligent, cleaned up everything, in spite of size of tree they knew where to cut and how to work as a team. Came out two days later to even out the remaining part, did not have to, they went above and beyond. Their price was at least 1/3rd less than some half or less than most. I hate to leave a negative review especially for a family owned and run business! But it's worth mentioning that their office is very disorganized. I submitted an estimate thru Yelp. Adam was able to come out next day for a free quote, which was great! The verbal quote sounded great. I was told I would have the quote emailed the following day. Well, 3 days later I still haven't received the quote. Sent follow up email to office requesting the quote. 2 days later no response so I called Adam. He assured me someone will send over quote by EOD; that didn't happen so I called Mike the following day who also assured me I would receive quote EOD. You guessed, that didn't happen either. A customer shouldn't have to hunt a business down for a response! That should've been a red flag. I finally scheduled a day for the project, which was a week out. I was surprised no one called to confirm the appointment. Anywho, my work was scheduled between 8-9am. By 10:00 I called and left a voicemail that no one had arrived. I then called Adam at 11 to tell him no one had showed up. Mike eventually called back at 11:15 to inform me they had emergency work that morning and that someone would be there between 1-2pm! I get it, things comes up, emergencies happens. Communication would have been appreciated! Anyway, 3:30 and still no one! I was ready to give up at that point. Luckily Shawn called and said he'll be there and that he was truly sorry for the lack of communication! I expressed to him that the lack of communication from the office was absolutely terrible! I am surprised so many 5 star reviews! If I could give Shawn 5 stars I would! End result: Shawn and his guy arrived on-site around 5 and finished the project at 6:30pm! I get that my project was a small project in comparison to others but that's not how you treat your customers! Your office clearly does not respect your customers time! This was a very pleasant experience all around. Sean came out and did an initial assessment of our tree service needs and was asked numerous questions (including two ~80-90 feet pines that needed to be removed). He was very patient and answered all the questions and you could tell he enjoyed his job. He gave the pros and cons of any suggestions I had and provided a very competitive quote and sound recommendations. The guy just knew trees. The initial work was done very well and they did an excellent job spending almost an entire day on site. One of their stumpgrinder machines was not working and Sean felt awful and scheduled another time to come out and make it right. The work they do is honestly above and beyond what we expected. He was focused on the job being completed and to our utmost satisfaction. Joseph was another foreman who came out the second and third time to finish some stumpgrinding work which was done exceptionally well. He would walk us through each of the finished tasks making sure we were satisfied. The other employees were all very friendly and treated the yard as if it was their own and took good care of it including cleanup. This company has earned the good and strong reputation and I am confident I can contact them for future tree service needs. One thing I will note which may be a charateristic of the industry is that for "planned" follow-up visits, they can show up unexpectedly (most likely given their chaotic schedule and ongoing projects - which is somewhat humorous, but shows their desire to do a great job and provide professional customer service). read more

Adam came out to give me a quote. He was very knowledgeable. Knew the tree species, identified trees with diseases, and explained the rules on canopy height. His quote appeared to be fair with a standard format and was in written form. I did have another company come out to do an estimate. The guy did not have nearly the knowledge of Adam. He completely spit balled a verbal estimate which was 100's of dollars more than Adams. On the day of the service, Jose came out. He was great. Very professional and communicated well. I got three estimates and Chandler's not only was the lowest of the other two competitors, but one bid was three times more then theirs. But that wasn't the only reason I chose them. I hired them after reading their positive reviews on Yelp and finding they have an A+ rating with the BBB. It turned out to be the right decision. They showed up on time with a very large crew who worked quickly and efficiently. Within a couple of hours they removed a very large cedar and pruned a mulberry in the front yard. They cleaned up all the debris when they were finished with the job. And there was a lot of it. I couldn't be happier with their services. How do these guys get so many five star reviews? The guy who did the estimate was so friendly and smooth and he gave a great price. I made the appointment and no one showed up! I called the office and it seems appointments are very casual, so I asked if anyone was going to come out. I did not get a definitive answer about that. At 5 o'clock two guys showed up and rushed through the job in 20 minutes! After cutting down a dead tree (and all they did was cut it down) and leave all the dead limbs in my flower garden, they said they were "done." I had to call ANOTHER tree service to clean up after them and actually ground down the stump of the dead tree and cut the branches from the one over my roof. The second service did not trample my flower garden and actually took the stumps with them. I would never recommend this company. read more

Sent a yelp request with pictures to get a quote. Mike called me and i explained what I needed: get the tree from overhanging in the neighbor's yard as well as a general trimming.. He gave me quote for the job in which we both agreed to the terms and was told the crew would be here on a given date at 8-8:15. They showed at 8:25 only to tell me that the job was not as quoted. The employee on site basically forced my to use his phone to talk to Mike about the situation even though I asked to have Mike call me on my own phone. Talked with Mike again and we settled, or so I thought. 5 minutes later, same employee knocks on my door and hands me the phone again, this time it's Shawn and he states they can't do it for the quoted cost and that his crew had been there for an hour already (it was 8:45). I asked (colorfully) how much do they want for the job, since I was pretty frustrated at this point. Shawn suggested to have the crew pack up and leave. I agreed. They did a very good job of grinding down a large stump, BUT in grinding the stump which was obviously very close to our irrigation system controls, they broke 5 pipes. I insisted they fix it, which the supervisor reluctantly agreed to, though I had to pay for the supplies. The supervisor, who did not do any of the work, complained about having to pay his men extra to fix the broken pipes. In refilling the hole by the grinder, the workers shoveled in other trash that had been dropped on the ground along with the dirt. They did not grind down or cut two extremely large surface roots which should have been included. I have yet to find a reliable landscaper or tree care person who does a superior job. I also do not like to hire people who moan and groan if something goes wrong when they are still getting paid. read more
