We have huge trees that grow like crazy in our backyard, The trees grow over the house and add branches annually. We have Alex come out to the house once per year to to trim. It's a big job. Alex does great work. He shows up on time, we quickly level set on the job (he typically remembers from the previous year), and they get to work. They do a great job cleaning up. They're done in 3-4 hours. His rates are very fair relative to alternatives. The work we ask Alex to do doesn't require any creative design or hedging, but the work he does looks great. We're huge fans, would highly recommend Alex and crew. read more

Alex Tree Service was incredible! We had a palm tree that was in need of trimming, and we reached out to Alex due to his positive reviews. He and his team did not disappoint. Alex responded very promptly to all of my messages, even texting me directly which made communication convenient. He offered a price that was significantly more competitive than other vendors, making him an obvious choice. Also, he provided the quote with only pictures, whereas a lot of competitors want to have someone personally look at the job, which takes more time and energy. On top of everything, his team provided excellent service and quality. His competitive prices definitely do not mean a dip in quality. When his team arrived, they got to work right away. Our palm tree is very close to our neighbors' yard, and they were very careful to make sure that all of the palm tree fronds were dropped on our side of the fence. One of the guys was also making sure that as they were dropping fronds, none of them fell on anything that could get damaged. The entire job only took about 1 hour for our palm tree, which included setting up, cutting down the fronds, and then cleaning up afterward. They left our yard completely clean and spotless! All three of the team members were courteous, friendly, and happy to be there. I can't say enough positive words about Alex's services. Excellent communication, excellent pricing, excellent quality, excellent service! I highly recommend Alex and his team for any tree services you need. read more

I definitely will call Alex Tree Service next time I need pruning. Prior to Alex, I had always used a different company, but after the storms last winter, my regular tree service keep putting me off - they was too busy. Alex left a card on my porch, so we called him for an estimate. He came out on a Monday, gave me a very fair bid and said he could come back to do it on Friday. We hired him and are very happy we did. His crew did a great job! Very professional, did everything we discussed, and cleaned up all the debris nicely. I wish I took before photos so I could share the difference of how great my yard looks. Take my word for it, you won't be disappointed if you use them for your tree trimming needs. read more

These guys are Top Notch! They cut down 5 large trees filled with leaves and dead branches and by the end of the day you would not be able to tell neither they were there or the trees. Left the property Absolutely Spotless. Everything was cleaned up perfectly and the crew were very friendly and receptive. I am definitely referring them and using them again in the future. Big Five Stars!!! read more

A very nice Company with quick response and excellent service. Alex responded on a Sunday to a storm felled tree and his team cleaned it up quickly. I recommend him to anyone who needs a dependable company for tree work! I did this review months ago and during the last month I have unfortunately have needed them two more times with neighboring property trees dropping on ours! Alex, his son and his whole crew are the hardest working crew anywhere! They do a good job and clean up impeccably! I can't thank them enough for all their help- they will be back soon to do more tree maintenance for us! read more

The tree trimming crew took care of my entire yard of overgrown trees that hadn't been trimmed in probably the last decade. They cleaned up the branches well and arrived on time and got working. I think they did a good job making the trees not look hacked down, but with nice shape overall. I will hire them again! read more

We've been having Alex help us with our tree trimming and landscape needs for the last five years. He is helpful, honest, courteous, thorough and his team reflects his qualities as well. There is no one else you need to call if you need help with maintaining or removing trees, bushes and shrubs on your property. Initially, we had him doing annual or semiannual tree trimming and he's always been amazing, fast, helpful and affordable. The most recent job he did for us involved in removing multiple tree stumps, multiple trees and a 20 foot long dying hedge. It was all done, including stump grinding, in about five hours. They didn't just do the tough work and leave but took great care to leave our yard and street clean and tidy. We will never use anyone else! read more

Came out on time. Went right to work. Very professional and nice. Completed the job to expectations. Cleaned up afterwards. Will hire again.

The crew at Alex's Tree Service did a wonderful job! The work was superb and I am satisfied with everything that was done. The clean up was excellent and I can now see the sky because of the great job that they did pruning back the tree. We also had a tree in our front yard that died (I was hoping it was only sleeping!) and they took that out and planted a new one we purchased. Not only that, they disposed of another tree that has fallen that was definitely not a candidate for firewood or anything else. I highly recommend this company and will look to them for any future tree service needs. read more

Saw great reviews so I called them to get a quote. Left a detailed voice message and they never called back. To me, no callback means they don't want my business. Not up to me to chase after them. NEXT! read more

Great tree service, recently used them for trimming and tree/stump removal. Alex was super responsive and was able to come out to give me a free estimate within 24 hours. He beat out two other estimates I got by several hundred and was able to schedule the service for a quick turnaround too. He was very kind, too. His crew was on time, nice, and did fantastic work. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

Alex and his Dad do beautiful work. A few months ago, they trimmed 18 Cypress trees in our yard - they are perfectionists - the trees were at different heights and widths, many had branches sticking out from winds, and some needed to be wired. Today they just finished trimming about 40-50 yards of Pittosporum - flat and level on top and straight vertically on the sides. They are exceptional! read more

We had 3 Mulberry trees that needed the seasonal cutting back and Alex and his team were very speedy and professional. We have a pond in the back yard and they were careful not to get anything in it. Alex Tree Services was quick to reply and schedule. A large branch had already fallen and hit two of our vehicles while another looked weak and ready to break. They arrived promptly and assisted in clearing the work area. Cutting back the weight and height of the tree to ensure the safety of the tree and surrounding areas. In just a matter of a couple hours the work had been completed. We were slightly disappointed that so much of the shade was removed in the heat of summer but are more relieved that the danger of large falling branches is eliminated. read more

So I requested a quote from Alex Tree Service using the "Request for Quote" and immediately they setup a date/time to come out. We had others who came and quoted, but decided to go with Alex Tree Service (ATS). Their price was fare and they didn't over promise... They were prompt on day of work, cleaned up their mess, hauled away all the debris and job was spectacular! We couldn't be more happy. We previously had our neighbor's tree trimmer guys...but they would leave a pile of mess and killed a few plants along the way...not to mention tramped all over my mulch and leave foot prints all over my concrete floor... So I'm glad ATS were cleaned and gentle with my garden... This was my first time working with them, but I'm sure I'll see them again... Thank you so much Alex for the great job! The trees are lite and airy now... We'll call you in two years!! Hope your business continues to grow... read more

Alex's tree service should be the first number you call for tree service because you won't have to bother with another. I put in a request and they were so prompt in responding that I was surprised. They came over right away, gave me a reasonable and fair bid and showed up the very next morning to prune my three citrus trees. The job was cleaned up and done to perfection, even placing the fruit aside for us for later. I can't say enough good things about Alex's Tree Service. You won't regret hiring them. read more

Alex is amazing! Our kitten was missing for 2 1/2 days and lo and behold I found her up in my neighbors tree. She managed to climb about 45 feet up this huge pine tree. When I contacted Alex he responded right away and came over to assess the situation. Long story short he climbed up the tree and brought my little kitty cat down. We had also been getting quotes at the time to have some trees pruned the quotes were all very high, Alex gave us a great price and we are planning to have him do the work. Very impressed with his professionalism. I Highly recommend him. read more

Trying to get a quote online can be very frustrating. It seems like the business doesn't care to respond to messages using yelp. I'd suggest to deactivating your account if you can't respond to customers. What a frustrating experience when it comes to those that can only discuss matters only via yelp app because there isn't time to freely communicate on the phone. I've clearly laid out photos of interest with measurements involved. Very unprofessional costumer service. read more

I called Alex to take care of some of my big trees as there were critters jumping on to my roof. Alex and his team showed up on time and got to work right away. They were very knowledgeable about trees and explain to me which trees they can cut further and which needed to left as is. I am pretty happy with their service, I believe the estimate that Alex presented was very reasonable as well. I would use them again if I needed additional services. read more

I needed some scrub trees and stump removal so we could replace an old fence. The scrub tree had never been dealt with since our house was built in 1962! Alex responded right away with an estimate and he and his crew showed up on time, took down the trees, chipped them up, took away some old branches we had in our backyard AND blew the fallen leaves off of our patio! They left the yard cleaner than when they first arrived. This was all taken care of within an hour. They came back and ground all the stumps with heavy equipment within an hour as well. Very reasonably priced, excellent work and Alex and his crew were all very professional and a pleasure to meet. Thank you, guys and I'll be keeping in touch for some large tree maintenance!! read more

We used Alex and his crew to remove 6 large (20'+) trees, stumps, and about 6 more overgrown shrubs that were about 50 years old with deep roots and thick branches/trunks. Highly recommend Alex from Alex Tree Service! Alex was exactly on time to our appointment and was extremely friendly and genuine. I have a challenging tree to be removed and Alex provided the most insight to me (compared to the other quotes that I had received) as we walked around to look at the tree situation, as well as identify potential issues with the removal. Alex acknowledge that he would need support from another vendor, and I was super impressed when he and the other contractor showed up at my house an hour later. Great service - highly recommend! read more

Alex was recommended to me by a family member who was very happy with their services. However, when we had out lawn done, he did not clean our gutters (which was part of the service and paid for), and they also spread weed and feed directly over the grass seed after we specifically told them not to. When we called to ask them to come back and do the gutters they refused, saying it was not part of the agreement. When asked to provide a record of services provided and charges, they produced a bogus one that had none of the prices agreed upon initially, even though I sent in the notes I had written down when he was at the house. We will never use this service again and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I had some medium to extremely large trees that needed to be removed. They were in a difficult spot and most bids were more expensive and required fences and additional trees removed for the extraction. We have a number of very large pine trees in our backyard. A big branch from one of those trees broke and fell in the neighbor's yard. I needed a service to come and clean that up as well as take down a large pine tree that we decided to cut. I called a few companies. I am glad I called Alex Tree service. Alex showed up on the same day to give us an estimate. His estimate was very competitive and he was promised to have the branch in neighbor's yard cleaned up the next day as well as cut the big tree a week from then. That was the best response and price of the companies I called for a quote. I decided to go with Alex and his crew did a wonderful job. They were polite and acted very responsibly. Cleaned up my yard and neighbor's yard well. I recommend them wholeheartedly without any reservation. read more

I had several Trees of Heaven, a bunch of small volunteer privets, a tall stalk on a century plant, and a lot of ivy to remove , and a fruitless mulberry that needed to have some limbs cut away from the roof. Of four bidders, he was the only tree professional who climbed up on the garage roof to thoroughly assess the work. He quoted me four guys for two days' work. On the first day, the crew arrived at 9:30, took an hour for lunch, and stopped work at 3:30. I noticed that one of the crew appeared to be a young teenager. Alex confirmed that the boy is 14. It's perfectly legal for him to be doing this work (carrying debris, and feeding it into the chipper, on the ground) when school's out. But a 14-year-old doesn't have the strength, experience or stamina of a grown man. I raised that concern with Alex. The following day they couldn't come out because the climber and a family member were both very ill. Perfectly reasonable! The next day the new climber arrived a bit before 9am, and got right to work. Alex, another adult and the 14-year-old arrived shortly thereafter. They worked for about three hours, took an hour for lunch, and at 1:30 Alex said he had to leave for a 2:30 appointment, and that his guys would finish up. They left around 2:30. So, about a day's worth of work spread over two days. Three of the trees that I expected to be removed were cut back. They did a great job of removing the trees that they did actually remove, did a terrific job on the ivy, the cactus stalk, and the mulberry branches, and very kindly blew debris off of my house roof. Alex is a super-sweet man, and his crew were all very polite. His climbers are extremely professional, and work very, very safely. There is more work that needs to be done at my house, and I would certainly consider hiring him and his crew again during the fall, when the 14-year-old is back in school. read more
