Frustrating interaction. Had a leak in my fire suppression. System. The technician originally didn't show up. Then after calling back they did. Promised a follow up email or call. Nothing for a week until I started calling. Said they needed a note from fire permitting that I had to get. I went and got the note. Then sent it to them, only to be ghosted after repeated calls and texts. Contacted a different service who came within a week. Fixed the problem, but now I have black mold because this group held up work for almost a month. read more

If you are reading this review, then you probably have a decision to make regarding which fire protection/suppression company to use. Let me make it simple for you: use Ofir from Shield Fire and Safety Solutions. It is not an understatement to say that he saved my wife and I from falling down a fire inspector's rabbit hole. Ofir showed up quickly and promptly when we called. Representatives from other companies? Not so much. Instead of using the opportunity to make a boatload of money from a complicated fix required by the inspector, he volunteered that the inspector's requirement was not mandatory but then also volunteered to speak with the City of Oakland fire inspector to make sure his opinion was accepted. To top that off, he said he did not want any money for his trip or time! Ofir's generosity shocked us, as we were finishing a long, torturous building project and had become numb to the greediness and shoddy work of most other contractors. As you might anticipate, this story has a happy ending. We insisted on paying for Ofir's time, and his opinion that further work was unnecessary was adopted by the inspector. We were cleared and passed inspection. We will be forever grateful to him. Seriously. This company was LITERALLY a life-saver for me. They came in at a moment's notice, created Plans for my hood/ansul system, assisted me with an over the counter permit and brought my (existing) system up to code. They were very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, they gave me hope in a time when I needed hope.
