We had a great experience working with Aura Fire Safety on the installation of a City of Oakland Fire Department-mandated fire alarm system at our property. Bryan and the Aura Fire Safety team were professional, responsive, and efficient throughout the entire project. They helped us get the work completed quickly and made the process as smooth as possible. We especially appreciated their flexibility and understanding when coordinating the work around our tenants and minimizing disruption. Thank you to Bryan and the entire Aura Fire Safety team for your excellent service and assistance in successfully completing this project. We would gladly recommend Aura Fire Safety to anyone in need of fire alarm or fire safety services! read more

I hired Aura Fire Safety to upgrade our 18 unit building in San Francisco to comply with the new mandated San Francisco fire alarm system alarm upgrade. We had to install new fire alarm bells in all 18 units plus common areas. The whole process from beginning to end was excellent. The quote I received form the beginning was exact! No added costs were incurred even though I anticipated some. They got the permits, scheduled the inspectors and even posted notices on the doors. Bryan Corsi was the project manager and he went above and beyond to ensure that this pretty big project went as seamless as possible. I manage the building and also renovate properties for a living and I will say that this organization handled this project from start to finish with the utmost of professionalism that is hard to come by. I highly recommend Aura Fire safety and particularly Brian. He really went above and beyond to make sure that the process was as easy and simple as possible and he truly delivered. 5 stars! read more

I can't say enough good things about Aura Fire Safety and their customer service. Our restaurant recently had an ANSUL emergency, and they immediately told me they would send a technician out to inspect it. Luckily, they were already working on another project right down the block, so they arrived very quickly. Kim, who was my main point of contact, kept me updated the entire time -- from quotes to procedures and next steps. From this experience alone, I can tell they truly care about their customers and provide a very personal touch, which is rare these days. Thank you to Kim, Ben (owner), and the entire crew. You guys are awesome! read more

Yes, you did lower the price after seeing that my system only had two sprinklers. But then you charged me double that amount to replace those same two sprinklers heads and screw in two new ones. You're calling that "emergency repairs"? Again, you told me it was required for compliance -- which is misleading. As I tried to explain to you over the phone, my insurance requirements state that a qualified individual or company must inspect the automatic sprinkler system at least annually, and in accordance with local Fire Marshal requirements, to ensure the integrity of the system. That's it -- no mention of spare parts or emergency repairs for a two-sprinkler system. From what I understand, San Francisco follows NFPA 13 and NFPA 25, which require a spare sprinkler head box only when a system has more than 20 or up to 300 heads, depending on the standard. For systems under 300 heads, the requirement is typically a minimum of six spare heads -- and none of that applies to a system with just two sprinklers. I'm really disappointed that you tried to spin it this way and push unnecessary charges by misrepresenting what's actually required. read more

Very professional...returned request for quote very timely, courteous central office person, technical people came right on time. I wasn't sure what is included in most fire inspections, but Aura was much more thorough than our precious inspectors. They asked more questions to make sure they did not overlook anything. They were not the lowest quote, but the thorough inspection gave me much more peace of mind. I definitely recommend them and will use them for our annual inspection going forward. read more

Very pleased with the team at Aura. We've done our sprinkler inspections with them for years and most recently, Ben carefully walked us through the confusing fire alarm ordinance in SF. Last week, we finished our alarm upgrade and the crew was so courteous - our HOA is happy :) These are the real pros! read more

Ben at Aura Fire is incredible!! Would absolutely recommend these guys for all of your fire related and electrical needs. One stop shop.

Buyer beware! Aura Fire Safety is a complete rip off. Look at the invoice, the job took less than a hour and the service fee was $590. My Harvard educated lawyer has a hourly rate cheaper than that. Aura also charged $100 for a portable ABC extinguisher! You can buy online, or at Home Deport, or at Costco for only $40. Buyers beware! Always shop around and compare prices; there's something called the internet that's really helpful. There are plenty of fire service companies in the Bay Area to call for a free quote. This company will empty your pockets. Response: "Valuable" to you indeed. Be a true professional and don't take advantage of the consumers' ignorance of how much things cost. read more

Aura Fire Safety - WHY SO EXPENSIVE?! - Fire Protection Services Near Me - San Francisco, California

The San Francisco Fire Department recently asked me to replace 50+ year old fire sprinklers in my apartment building . The only requirement the fire department made was the work must be done by a licensed C16 contractor. Several of the C16 contractors I contacted were hesitant to take on my project because it was deemed too challenging. But when I spoke with Vladi at Aura Fire Safety, he was confident his team was more than capable of answering the bell. But talk is cheap and I am only looking for results. Lead by Cristen Silva, the Aura Fire Safety team took the bull by the horns and replaced my 20 fire sprinklers like a company who actually has been doing this for 25 years promptly and professionally. These guys were great and I would highly recommend Aura Fire Safety for your fire sprinkler needs. read more

Aura solved a difficult problem for us - getting an existing 40+ year-old garage sprinkler system approved and signed off by the City so we could proceed with a condo conversion. Vladi and his team were irreplaceable in navigating layer after layer of SF bureaucracy and we ended up getting everything we needed done. Super responsive, professional, and friendly. read more

I hired Aura to test and certify the fire panels in 2 apartment buildings in SF. Sophath was professional (punctual, wore a mask, explained everything clearly) and a pleasure to work with. Turns out each building had a sensor/detector which needed to be replaced, so he had to return a second time. Despite that, the cost was reasonable, and I plan to use them for future annual certifications. read more

Aura Fire Safety has completed several jobs for us in San Francisco and Oakland. Terrific company with a competent staff and great service. They back up there work and always pass increasingly complicated inspections. Highly recommend Vlad and his team and will always call them back. . read more

Daryl is simply fantastic - her customer service game is top notch! I, of course, called with a minor emergency, and while their schedule was too packed to shoehorn a technician appointment for me the same day, Daryl was so kind, accommodating, and responsive that I will not hesitate to contact Aura when the next leak arises. read more

I originally called a different fire safety company to review my building's sprinklers, but was disappointed at their bid to replace them. I called Aura Fire Safety and they were able to do the job for about 20% less than the other company. Their 3-person team was friendly, and did their work efficiently. They kept me informed throughout the process. Their lead rep Christian helped me understand how our water system operated, and how to handle any sprinkler or other water emergencies. The owner Vlade Aura called after the job to be sure that we were fully satisfied. And we definitely were!! read more

I've had the same experience as Tattle tale Today they come out to clean our hoods in kitchen and fire extinguishers. Please be in mind that is raining and how they are going to get on roof to clean hoods? The owner said he would change the tags so I could be up to "code" but not actually change the extinguishers. Also they have different names for this company Aura fire safety also he says they are apart of Bay Area fire protection. Something didn't seem right as he spoke he smiled like a slick sales person and sneaky. Please be on the look out, choose a company that will do the right thing. Our building fire alarm system was tested and re-certified by Aura Fire Safety after Laura called me. The process was completed in less than an hour by the technician, Sophath. He was very cordial and efficient. The only downside was the fee charged. It equated to $400/hr, but the service was something that had to be done. It was difficult to find a company to perform this service, so I am grateful that they exist. read more

Burma Superstar of Alameda will always rely on Aura Fire Safety. They come in when they're scheduled and take care of your all your fire safety needs (expired fire extinguishers, kitchen Hood fire safety hoses, fire marshal reviews). Before these guys, we've worked with many other companies and each one of them told us they would send someone out in the morning and when I took the effort to come in to meet them, no one would show up. When I called, I didn't get through at first but I left a voicemail with my name and number and they eventually called me back later that day and scheduled me in for a service the next day. I hope that'll be the case for you all. These 5 stars are not here to boost their ratings, it's here because of their honest work read more

Vladi and his crew installed a fire sprinkler system in our two cottages that were newly built on our property in Berkeley. They designed the system and supplied the calculations along with the permits to the city of Berkeley, and completed the work which passed the fire inspections. Vladi was always a delight to talk to, very positive and always willing to work with me. I actually miss having a reason to call Vladi. And after they finished the cottages, we backed out of a contract to add fire sprinklers to the existing house, Vladi gladly refunded 100% of our deposit because of the stress I had endured this year. I will gladly use them in the future if and when I need to have our fire system serviced. read more

AWESOME company. Recommend to anyone who needs sprinkler or fire alarm service. Even though I think most of their business might be with larger buildings, they continually make us feel important to their business even in our little 5 unit TIC building My HOA will be signing up for a 2-year commitment to keep our sprinkler system and fire alarm system up to code and functioning correctly. The two office ladies Daryl and Maya are extremely helpful and understanding. Love em. My company needed to have an update done to our fire suppression system recently and after an extensive bid process I decided to go with Aura, here's why; from my very first phone call, Olga was extremely attentive to my needs and sensitive to the timing of the job. they were not the cheapest however they very competitive and were willing to work with pricing. Vladi came out the very same day to meet with me and discuss (Honestly) exactly what was code and what I needed to have done. He was both professional and knowledgeable. I received their bid within a day and is one of the main reasons that I chose Aura. They are fast, efficient and professional. On the day of the install, Vladi came out with his installation specialist; Giovanni and they walked me through the timeline (exactly the same as the bid) and got right to work. The job was done on time and to spec. I have now decided to use them for my semi annual hood cleaning service as well because I have enjoyed their personable and professional approach to their business. Aura Fire Safety came and replaced an old corroded sprinkler check valve at our HQ. After doing research for days, I called Vlade based on his overwhelmingly positive reviews. He was able to fit us in quickly and his office staff was very efficient producing a written estimate for replacing the alarm system with a SF code compliant one, upgrading the sprinklers, and providing the code required monitoring. I did not feel that Vlade tried to up-sell us on anything we didn't need, and in fact he really tried to save us money. The plans he prepared were professionally done and moved efficiently through the building department so he could start work. The staff tied themselves in knots to work in with our renovation schedule and were extremely patient with our work delays that held them up completing the job. Their electricians and crew were efficient and careful and we passed all our inspections without a hitch. I recommend them! They've hired good people top to bottom and it is SUCH a pleasant surprise when you can trust someone to do the job really well and efficiently. Thank you! read more
