Eric recommended a few other options, and was very transparent with the advantages and drawbacks of each.

I can't say enough good things about Aura Fire Safety and their customer service. Our restaurant…read morerecently had an ANSUL emergency, and they immediately told me they would send a technician out to inspect it. Luckily, they were already working on another project right down the block, so they arrived very quickly. Kim, who was my main point of contact, kept me updated the entire time -- from quotes to procedures and next steps. From this experience alone, I can tell they truly care about their customers and provide a very personal touch, which is rare these days. Thank you to Kim, Ben (owner), and the entire crew. You guys are awesome!

Yes, you did lower the price after seeing that my system only had two sprinklers. But then you…read morecharged me double that amount to replace those same two sprinklers heads and screw in two new ones. You're calling that "emergency repairs"? Again, you told me it was required for compliance -- which is misleading. As I tried to explain to you over the phone, my insurance requirements state that a qualified individual or company must inspect the automatic sprinkler system at least annually, and in accordance with local Fire Marshal requirements, to ensure the integrity of the system. That's it -- no mention of spare parts or emergency repairs for a two-sprinkler system. From what I understand, San Francisco follows NFPA 13 and NFPA 25, which require a spare sprinkler head box only when a system has more than 20 or up to 300 heads, depending on the standard. For systems under 300 heads, the requirement is typically a minimum of six spare heads -- and none of that applies to a system with just two sprinklers. I'm really disappointed that you tried to spin it this way and push unnecessary charges by misrepresenting what's actually required.

Leon made short work of this project and was out the very same day I contacted them to mark the ground for 811. As soon as the surveys were completed Leon scheduled the work and had it completed in less than 2 days. Great communication and great workmanship. They even came in under the estimated cost of repairs. CFP&S will get future business from me.

The contractor was not able to come up with a design that passed the calculations and insisted the only way to proceed was upgrading the main line (into the meter) from 3/4" to 1". This is a $22k, 4+ month project with the water company. I reached out to CFP based on the good reviews and with the first phone call with Leon found him to be very helpful, knowledgeable and confident we can work something out with the 3/4" main. Within 4 weeks we had an approved design and permit from the city. 8 months later we passed final inspection. In all our interactions, I found Leon to be friendly, responsive and generally very helpful/accomodating. I have verbally recommended him to neighbors and if you need a superstar fire protection design and implementation, look no further. Thank you again Leon and Central Fire Protection!

Michael had great reviews and could come out sooner than the rest, so he was my first call back. But when his price was the same, I told him I just couldn't afford it again and thanked him, hoping to find someone willing to work with me to waive the 4 hour minimum for a 2 hour job. He completely surprised me. He texted back offering to walk my plumber through the job himself -- and then called in the special parts for me. No charge. Who does that for someone too cheap to hire them? Michael is a genuinely good guy, and the next time I need sprinkler service or anyone I know needs it, he's going to be my first call and recommendation.

We cannot recommend Morningstar Fire Protection and Michael enough!…read more Michael came through for our community in an incredible way -- taking on a massive job for 50+ homes (and counting!) and delivering with efficiency, professionalism, and lightning-fast turnaround. What started as an urgent situation quickly turned into a huge success thanks to his responsiveness and expertise. Out of the many sprinkler inspection and certification companies we reached out to, Michael was the only one actually licensed for ITM -- and that credential makes all the difference. His knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to get things done the right way set him apart from everyone else in the field. The quality of service has been absolutely top-notch, and he's earned the appreciation of literally dozens of extremely happy customers across our neighborhood. Everyone who's worked with him has said the same thing: Michael is reliable, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Truly, I've never seen our neighborhood slack channel agree on something so unanimously. If you need fire protection or sprinkler inspection work done -- especially something time-sensitive or large-scale -- don't waste time calling around. Morningstar Fire Protection is the clear choice. Thank you again, Michael, for your outstanding work and dedication!
