I have been having issues with my 20 plus year old fire alarm this past year. False alarming after so many years working like a champ. This is a great company to work with. Eric, the owner, is knowledgeable, thorough, and efficient. The SFFD makes it a challenge for a small building owner (3 units) to meet all the inspection and certification requirements (sprinklers, extinguishers.back flow valve, common area postings, etc.) I was extremely satisfied with my fire alarm system annual inspection and the straightforwardness, pricing, and prompt response to my inquiry. Seemed annoyed when I called them on a weekend even though the business hours on Yelp show they are open. Perhaps if that bothers them change the hours? Immediately suggested we need a new fire panel over the phone without even visiting the site. Our maintenance later found out that we only needed to reset the system. They don't take credit cards, only checks and Zelle, and need payment at the time of the visit. read more

After maintaining our old fire alarm system for many years, Emergency Systems installed a brand new system in our 18 unit building to meet the requirements for low frequency horns inside the bedrooms. ESM did an annual maintenance on my apartment building in 2011. I paid by check for services rendered. They said they never received my check so I sent another. They cashed both checks. I have asked for a refund twice to no avail. Both times they told me they would put the refund in the mail. It has been over a year. I am about to take legal action.
