I am an HVAC contractor. My team was working in a home in Los Altos Hills in the attic and accidentally stepped on a firesprinkler pipe. Causing the pipe to leak in the Attic. Emergency help. Our water was off. Gardners used the system test spigot for watering. Guess what, no one is supposed to use this except for system test because it when you turn it off, the system repressurizes too fast and it closes this valve to shut off water to your house! This js rather obscure if you are a novice. Took 5 hours of testing, ebmud visit and finally i determined it had to be some valve closed. Called greg at 8pm and he answered! He immediately knew what it was and talked me through the way to reset that valve which is easy in 5 min. No charge. Im paying him anyway. Life saver. I now have a fire protection system contractor. The inspector who had originally discovered this misfit had given us an outrageous proposal ($200 per head!) so we were shopping for other offers. We had to add a sprinkler to a new closet we had built to satisfy the city's new fire safety codes for high rises. Our building's fire safety contractor was uninterested in such a small job and way overbid for the job. Lionhead was recommend by our contractor as an alternative to our bldg's contractor. Lionhead gave us a much more reasonable bid. They have always been responsive and successfully negotiated the city's permit process, which fundamentally changed during the pandemic. Their payment terms were also very fair, splitting the costs over 3 invoices and fronting the cost for the city's permit, allowing us to pay it in the final invoice. They also helped coordinate the fire inspector sign-off. We couldn't be more pleased with Lionhead's work and our experience in working with them. read more

I suspected one of my fire sprinkler heads was leaking. I called about 15-20 companies, some didn't respond, some couldn't help and/or don't do work on residential fire sprinklers, and I was frustrated. Fortunately, a guy from one of the companies recommended I call Lionhead because he said he had met the owner, who he sensed was a really good, trustworthy guy who would/could probably help me. I called Greg, who answered immediately and set an appointment to stop by. He did a full inspection of my entire fire sprinkler system and found a half a dozen corroded fire sprinkler heads (including the leaky one) in my house. Ends up my fire sprinkler heads were obsolete (brand and company no longer exist), so Greg spent a lot of time and research to finally find a company that makes sprinkler heads that could work to replace my old ones. He didn't give up! All the while, he communicated clearly and honestly with me via email to give me updates regarding his research and options for me. He came back and replaced all the old corroded sprinkler heads with brand new ones that looked very similar to my old ones. Plus he climbed high up his ladder to replace an escutcheon cover that had dangerously fallen off a couple of separate times in the past from our super high ceiling, even after a couple of handymen unsuccessfully attempted to put it back on. Greg really cared, was thorough and meticulous, met all of my needs, and made sure my fire sprinkler system was up to par. So far, the fire sprinkler head hasn't leaked and the escutcheon cover has not fallen off, so I'm happy! I appreciated that Greg cared to spend so much time and effort to find a solution and that he fixed everything!
