I hired a separate sheet rock guy to fix the ceiling. Afterwards the Coastwest technician came back to replace the sprinkler cover. I'm happy with the work efficiency and result. read more

I contacted a bunch of plumbers and fire protection companies on Yelp about a leaky pipe in our front yard that feeds our fire sprinkler system and more than 10 other companies on here either said they couldn't fix it, came out to look at it and then said they couldn't fix it, or just never got back to me. On the other hand, Coastwest got back to me almost immediately asking for photos, and based on the photos I sent they diagnosed the problem clearly and in detail and gave a cost estimate and said they could come out and fix it in a couple days. I waited for responses and estimates from other places and after almost a week of getting jerked around by others, I scheduled Coastwest to come out. They came out, confirmed the issue, the work, and the cost with us. They then went to get supplies, shut off the water, repaired the issue, turned the water back on, and everything was fixed and done and in perfect shape in like 3 hours! read more

This is a delayed review from a project Tim at Coastwest handled for us back in July of 2022. Due to a change in responsibilities, our HOA was past due for a 5-year fire inspection. Our sprinkler story from hell: one burst in our master bathroom--flooded almost the entire house. Tim helped us swap out all the old sprinklers for new ones that have a protective dome. He also helped identify another aging supply pipe that needed to be fixed before THAT one burst!! Tim is responsive, compassionate, and efficient. He also would be able to get out to the site faster than anyone I contacted. Furthermore, he is extremely knowledgeable in his profession. He had amazing insight on why I had certain issues and easy ways to fix (that no other company ever mentioned was a possibility). Super friendly, fast and knowledgeable. His emergency service fee was pretty high (to be expected), so I ended up not using him and simply went longer without water to get a better deal elsewhere. Had trouble with getting our current fire sprinkler company to complete minor work during the lockdown for our renovation. I can't say enough great things about Tim, Rodrigo and the Coastwest team for their help with our failing fire sprinkler riser. The faulty riser was badly installed by the original vendor, who used the wrong materials (iron pipes) and wrong riser set up, causing a terrible corrosion problem. Additionally, the original vendor had come out to replace sprinkler heads that had been recalled and after the replacement simply forgot to reset the check valve, resulting in our entire house water supply being shut off one Saturday morning. Could not have been more inconvenient. We called several fire protection sprinkler contractors that morning and all day, including our our original vendor. Not even the offending vendor would come out!!!! You know who was the only one to respond? Tim West of Coastwest!!! While on vacation in Costa Rica!!! Know who was the only one willing to get somebody out on the weekend to restore our water? You guessed it. Coastwest. Tim's foreman Rodrigo came out Saturday evening and figured out an ingenious bypass to restore our water (a plumbing skill you wouldn't expect by the way). We then scheduled a replacement of our sprinkler riser, so that we wouldn't face this problem again, and Tim kept the cost from being astronomical I might add. Oh and they threw in replacement of our main valves with the most up to date models for an added bonus. All this is to say that you couldn't find a more competent or customer service oriented vendor if you tried. It was pure serendipity and unadulterated luck that we found Tim, Rodrigo and Coastwest!
