The estimate process was thorough. The quote was detailed and it was easier for me to drop or add things Lisa in the main office communicated very well and gave me all the information I needed The crew was very impressive because the first person asked me to go over each item then when the second person came on site the first person took him through the list-item by item carefully. At one point it was a question about whether a limb should be removed and they stopped and found me to ask about it before moving ahead Very professional. Given that the company is bonded and insured I felt like the price was well worth it read more

They do a great job of tree trimming for reasonable prices. Very nice people too. Mr Vaccarro shows up.

We just had 2 trees removed by Vacarro Tree Service in Fairfax. We had a beautiful red cedar tree that was leaning heavily towards our neighbor's garage. We called and talked to Lisa who was great and very responsive. She let us know to get a permit first. We talked with Susan at the Fairfax permit office who was very helpful. She set up a review to make sure removing the tree was necessary. 1 week later the review was done and we were issued a permit. We met with Chris at our house and he explained the process and set a date for the tree removal. Today was the removal day. Chris and his crew were there at 8:00am and completely done with removing 2 trees by 11:00a They were all very professional and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. It was like magic. As if the trees were never there. We were very impressed. read more

Just had some work down with them and we could not be happier. Great service. Great attention to detail. We were especially impressed with how clean the jobsite was after the work was done. Also the price was super fair and almost 40% lower than large companies. Highly recommend this company. read more

I wanted to hire a local crew, and after another local tree service stood me up and never showed up for the job or returned my texts, I chose another local crew, Vaccaro's. I was very happy with their service, punctuality and price. Looking forward to using them again in the future. read more

Chris is great. His crew is experienced and thoughtful. The team pruned a large heritage oak tree that had been neglected over the years. They did a fantastic job and worked with my arborist to ensure we were doing right by the tree. He also worked really well with my difficult neighbor who put up unnecessary roadblocks to getting the work done. I would hired him again and again. read more

Family owned business. Chris is immediately responsive with estimate. His tree guys have been with him for years, so you know they are treated well and have good job satisfaction. Experts, efficient, reasonable. Wouldn't call anyone else! I am a repeat customer through the years. read more

We highly recommend Vaccaro's Tree Service. Chris has been in business in Marin for many years and has a loyal, steady crew who we trust completely on our property. Lisa schedules and she's incredibly positive and accommodating. We've had them tree trim our land once a year for over a decade now (Acacia, Oak, Eucalyptus, Privit, Redwood ) and we wouldn't hire anyone else! They do free estimates and they're of course fully insured and licensed. Their many years of experience shows every time they do a job for us --from start to (impeccable clean up) finish. We've had a lot of tree estimates over the years, and Vaccaro's wins the bid every time. read more

Couldn't be happier with the work. We recently had several shrubs, a few small trees and a large tree removed (and the stumps ground). Not only was Vaccaro's one of the most affordable quotes...but the service was second to none. Starting with them showing up literally the minute they said they would...the quality of service couldnt have been better. We've found the tree service we'll use for all of our removal needs. read more

Always reliable. Great service, great humans. Chris, Louis and the rest of the team are always courteous and professional. They come when scheduled, do an outstanding job of servicing our trees and always clean up. All for a reasonable price. We never feel gouged. And they've been kind enough to fit us in during emergency situations when we've needed immediate clearing of downed trees. Special shout out to Lisa in the office for always making sure things run smoothly. read more

If you live in Fairfax you have to call Chris for all your tree needs . He is fast clean and safe

No nonsense. Helped me out during a disaster/crisis for a rental property with stressed-out tenants. Call him!

I originally called this service back in November, and when Chris, the owner came out, he suggested we wait until the leaves bloomed so it would be easier to more easily spot those branches which were dead and needed to be removed. It was a perfect suggestion. Today, Edwin and Mario came out and trimmed our three birch trees and thinned out one Japanese maple. They were conscientious, knowledgeable and polite. They did a wonderful job! I would highly recommend Vaccaro's. read more

Without doubt the best tree service! Really no way to fault them: from the front office taking the initial inquiry, scheduling, paperwork (Lisa), Chris himself doing the site estimates, and then the amazing crew that seems to effortlessly deal with whatever is set, clears up behind them and make sure that you are really happy, this is just an awesome company. They are also highly competitive commercially, and up-front about costs. This is the second time we have used them to take out a diseased tree and trim up around the house, and would highly recommend them to anyone - this from someone who has been wielding a chainsaw personally since age 8! read more

I called Vaccaro's Tree Service because we have a vintage oak that is quite large and was in despite need of being trimmed. It also had two large limbs that hung over the neighbor's house. My concern was that they might come down in a storm and it would turn into a big problem for everyone. My experience working with the people at Vaccaro's Tree Service was great. The office manager, Lisa answered the phone and was pleasant and helpful. She told me the owner, Chris, would be out the same day to take a look at it. He was and by the next morning I had a quote in my email box. It looked good and included their California Contractors number right on the proposal. That was important to me because tree work is very dangerous and that let me know I was working with professionals. I felt good about the whole thing and called Lisa back with the OK to proceed. The job was booked and went without a hitch. The two limbs above the neighbor's home were gone and the tree was trimmed to my complete satisfaction. They took all of the removed wood and leaves. It was great. In addition to the oak, I had them remove 4 smaller redwood trees. I sprung that on them later after I remembered they could be dealt with at the same time. They changed the invoice modestly to reflect the added work and did that work too. I highly recommend Vaccaro's Tree Service because they are professional, prompt reasonably priced and did the job exactly as requested. Thank you all for the great work! read more

Vaccaro's is awesome....From Lisa at the office to Chris and the three guys who got rid of my Mimosa (ewwww) tree on Monday. I was on a wait list for earlier openings (my initial take down date was 1/8), and they were here on Wednesday! My yard looks soooo much bigger now! Gold Star in my opinion. I wish I had another job for them!!! :) read more

I phoned Vaccaro's and another competitor. I chose them because Chris was very honest and personable, and arrived within an hour of making a call. His pricing was very fair and I felt comfortable in choosing them. They did a fantastic job. Our 2 trees in our front yard were topped and thinned and look the best they've ever looked in 20 years. I would use them again and highly recommend them. read more

Vaccaro is professional. They did a great job on our camphor tree and also trimmed back our neighbors redwood tree (with neighbors permission) to encourage upright growth on our camphor. We were pleased at how well they cleaned up after themselves. We would definitely hire them again!! read more

prompt service and communication. Great work. Cleaned up beyond clean. Neighbors are asking for referrals.

Great service and as local as you can get. My trees were beautifully, aesthetically pruned very quickly and efficiently. And best of all not a leaf left out of place. Everything was left as if they had not been there. Very reasonably priced for the excellent workmanship. read more

We have a homeowners association property with multiple trees afflicted with Sudden Oak Death that need attention and removal. Vaccaro's prices were fair, they did great and quick work, and they helped us through the complicated and lengthy town approval process for tree removal.
