I used Yelp to request a quote for Palm Tree trimming and Yelp asked if I wanted to send a quote to multiple companies. Got 5 quotes and went with Juarez Tree Service based on their quote, other reviews, and they're covered by Yelp Guarantee (which thankfully, I've never had to use before). Scheduled a time with them last Friday and they had availability and we scheduled a date and time. Erik said 8-9AM on Tuesday (this morning). Before they arrived, I moved all the potted plants a good distance away from the palm tree. I also covered two plants that I couldn't move with a garbage can to protect them. The palm tree leaves fall a good distance and will mess up anything they fall onto. I also created a small path in our backyard for them to walk through. Erik and his crew arrived promptly at 9AM. Erik brought 2 people with him. Ivan was the one going up and cutting off the leaves. Salvador was the one carrying leaves off to the trailer in front of our driveway. Before they started work, they laid down a large tarp to catch most of the debris. Erik's whole crew was very courteous and professional. They worked quickly and cleanly - the backyard was either in the same or slightly cleaner condition than when they started. From start to finish, the job took about an hour and 45 minutes. They're very efficient! We also had quite a few palm tree leaves that fell from our neighbor's tree. They helped haul away those as well. I wish I could leave a better review here, as the team did some great work. The issue is they only took it about 90% of the initial agreed upon scope and have become unresponsive in my attempts to get the last 10% completed Extremely responsive to start, and quick to come out to service, which is why they won the work. They worked all day demo'ing our backyard greenscape and literally bran out of daylight. When I followed up on remaining items, the team remained responsive but mostly with excuses as to why they could not complete the final stump grinding. I hired Erik and his crew to remove a large amount of green waste from my lot, with a much of it yet to be cut up and located on a steep slope in my back yard. They came on time, did all the work promised, spent a whole two days hauling, chipping and disposing of everything. They even worked through the occasional heavy rain and resulting mud. The workers were mindful of keeping the mud away from my front walkways (rare in my experience). The end result was a great job cleaning up my yard, they asked me to look around and made sure I was happy before they left. wow! often in hiring people to do things, there are a variety of problems, screw-ups,etc. Not with Juarez. They came quickly and their estimate was well below other tree people. They came on time to do the job and were very time efficient. They were sensitive to the hoa bs and did a great job. Even my wife was happy. I rarely write reviews but I have to do one for Erik and his team. I needed a tree trimmed on my property and contacted Erik for his services. He came out, gave me a great estimate and booked an appt to get it trimmed all on the same day. On the day of the job, they were on time, got the job done properly and quickly. They were very careful with any property/items (cars, glass, etc) around the tree as they trimmed. They made sure I was happy with the end result and then cleaned up and left.
