Jorge and his crew are tops in my book! Our yard has a wide variety of trees under Jorge's care since 2020, and we couldn't be more pleased. I was particularly grateful when, in August 2023, the Vegetation Management Report required six, tall Italian Cypress cleared away within a short time frame. Jorge came, scoped out the project, and fit us into his schedule to meet our deadline. Whew! Then, in June 2024, under more normal circumstances, Jorge directed his competent crew to do a normal maintenance which meant pruning 7 Live Oaks, 2 Cedars, a tall majestic Redwood, a fruitless Mulberry and fruitless Pear in back; a stately Sycamore shading the driveway; and a Valley Oak and Live Oak in front. We talked about the Modesto Ash in front and decided to leave that until September because of the nesting Woodpeckers. The crew chipped all the cuttings and, as requested, left a pile of fragrant chips on the apron of the driveway, which eventually covered my whole yard. As usual, his price was fair. Jorge was directed by a neighbor and illegally tresspassed and cut the tops of the redwood trees to give his client a better view. I would not recommend a service with these values. He also cut the guy's olive trees off straight at the top leaving everything very ugly. He would not call me back when I tried to discuss it with him, so I am leaving these pictures and reviews here. We got 3 estimates for some tree work, went with Jorge as his was the lowest. We have used Fosec in the past and should have gone with them for $200.00 more. The crew showed up on a rainy day which surprised us. They worked on and off for about 3 hours. We feel like the job we discussed was not done, we wanted more limbs trimmed which we had discussed during the estimate. But because of the rain we did not assess the job like we should have. Also the website says they take credit card. When we tried to pay they insisted on a check. We went with them not only for price but also they did have good reviews. Jorge and his team did a good job with the tree removal. Unfortunately, they did not do a good job with the clean up. I had to reach out to him about the clean up, and he sent out a few guys the next day. However the clean up was not adequate. There was debris from the removal of three trees, left behind in our neighbor's driveway as well as around our property. We also contracted for tree trimming. When initially discussed, Jorge promised to trim the tops and thin out the trees to create uniformity and encourage/make space for new growth. I'm not an arborist, but this was not well done. He basically trimmed the top portion of the trees, nothing else. They were careful working around our existing plantings, which we appreciated. read more

On August 28th, I had a very large limb fall from my mature valley oak heritage tree in my backyard (most likely due to "sudden branch drop syndrome," brought on by the drought and the extreme heat of 100 degrees that day). I was very fortunate that there were no injuries or damages! I quickly obtained many quotes for the tree's removal (or its significant pruning, although I just had the tree pruned 30 days prior - to the day - because I had noticed that a much smaller branch had fallen onto my roof). Jorge was one of the first contractors who responded quickly and provided me with reasonable quotes. Once the city quickly determined that the tree needed to be removed (especially since it dropped another branch a few days later after the large limb failure), I contacted Jorge to schedule the removal. He was very knowledgeable about the city's requirements (even responding over the Labor Day weekend). Because the tree needed to be removed asap since it dropped yet another branch after the first two, I could not use his crew, only because they were already committed to another job. However, I would not hesitate to use him in the future or recommend him based on his outstanding service, especially in critical situations. I will absolutely keep him in mind for maintenance on my remaining trees. read more

This is the 2nd time that Jorge and his crew have done work for us and he is highly recommended. We have a house with oak trees on a very steep hill and both times he and his crew completed the job of trimming and removing all of the dead wood, branches and lugging all of the wood to a safe staging area in the front of house so as not to block the street with wood.
