Paul was great to work with: He was responsive, attempted to work with my budget, and quickly got started on the project. The experience started off strong, until it was time to pay for the project. I was initially quoted over my budget, but after I shared what I could work with, he agreed to the amount so I proceeded with choosing him to do our project but was surprised when the final invoice came out $350+ higher than expected. He explained that it was due to needing an extra roll of turf because of our lawn's unique shape. This left a sour taste in my mouth as I couldn't help but wonder why that wasn't anticipated when he came out to measure the space. It felt like something that should've been factored in from the beginning. Coincidentally, his team had offered to add a gopher barrier before the install for $350--which I declined because we don't get gophers. So I was even more thrown off when that same $350 amount ended up on my invoice in a different way. To be clear: I respect and appreciate the quality of the work and how quickly everything was done. But the inaccurate quote and surprise charges took away from the overall experience. At the new total, I didn't end up saving as much compared to another company I was seriously considering. What kept this from dropping to a 3.5 star review is that Paul was still willing to match the competitor's warranty, which I do value. I just really wish the pricing had been clearer from the beginning. I ended up feeling fooled for that extra $350 added on. That's a big deal when you've budgeted and planned for a specific amount. Paul seems like a genuinely nice guy, and maybe it wasn't intentional, but the way things wrapped up left me hesitant to reach out for future projects.

We had been thinking of putting sod in the back yard and decided to go with Prodigy. They took out the old sprinkler system and installed a new one with a drip sytem and rototilled the yard, added amendments to the soil and put in over 800 square feet of sod in lessthan 8 hours! This is the third time to use Green View Tree Service. They do terrific work! While the two guys…read moreare up in the tree they will consult with you if you want more trimmed off or not. They trim the trees so it looks natural. Absolutely beautiful work!! This session took from 8am to 5pm. When cutting some limbs off the 40 foot pine tree they made sure that the neighbors plants were not harmed in any way. One fellow was in the neighbors yard and made sure nothing would fall on their roses bushes. He picked up any debris and left the area clean. The care that was taken not to harm or break anything was phenomenal. We have a water feature, and lots of plants and a birdbath. They covered the area with ladders then put large wood across them to act as a tent. (Pictures attached) They also covered our back windows with wood sheets. (See pictures) They take great pride in their work and their skill shows it! They are systematic in how they do things. During the procedure debris is being removed and hauled out to the street. (See picture) When everthing is finally finished, they leave the yard neat and clean, like nothing happened. Then they start to grind all the trimmings. They are a smooth operation and wonderful people to work with!!! Very fair in price for all that they do. Very happy!

I am more than impressed with Jose, the foreman who did all of the cutting, shaping and pruning as a true arborist professional. The job was done in 3 hours, and both workers moved and replaced plants and items in my yard. I can say that the cleanup after the trees were serviced was left better than it was when they arrived! I'm am very meticulous and detailed in yard cleanliness, and my yard was virtually spotless. Raked, a powerful blower was used and hand picked up branches and leaves. I'm beside myself that this tree service today was just so beyond excellent. I never got an estimate from other companies because i was so impressed with my online research and speaking with Ray, the office manager, then meeting Albert, her brother, for my in-person estimate. At each appointment, the staff was punctual. Just an incredible cleanup. The Sycamore is 'protected' so even though it keeps pulling up the sidewalk the City won't let us take it out and we were told 'no topping'. Ezequiel explained that they'd remove up to 40% and keep its shape. They were able to book very quickly. The workers were respectful of property (both ours and our neighbors) and went above and beyond to clean up. They ended up trimming up a large redwood as well and all 3 trees look amazing!
