Unsauced, wrong ingredients in the Pad See U.
    Joe S.

Ordered for delivery, which was fast. That's the only positive. Pad Se Ew was sent as a bunch of plain, unsauced fettuccini-like dry rice noodles with regular broccoli and carrots (?) mixed in, all three of which aren't actually ingredients in pad se ew (the whole point of the dish is the fresh wide rice noodles, Chinese broccoli and a thick, well balanced sweet soy sauce - all completely absent). Had to throw it out it was so disgusting. Pad Thai was flavorless unless you count dirty wok as flavor. Tiny frozen shrimp mixed in with the chicken which had a very... shrimpy flavor. Our dog liked them. Crab Rangoon were hard as a rock and tasted like cream cheese mixed with a lot of white pepper. There are far better options in town in any price point.

I'm 100% Thai. I was ordering Panang curry, and it was okay; it wasn't a real Panang. Pad Thai was so dry, and it had no taste. Som Tum (papaya salad) had no flavor and looked old. The worst thing I can't imagine is that Yum Woon Sen smelled and tasted spoiled. I had to stop eating everything and throw them away. ...

    Spring roll.

Ordered a cold spring roll, it's hot and fell completely apart. Not edible. I really hope this wasn't normal.

Pad see u. Notice veggies are literally raw, not even pan sautéed. Rubbish!

PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING! Stay away from this s**** hole!!! Food is utterly garbage. Ordered the pad see u. It was a total disaster. This is what I got, boiled generic, non thai, noodles (the kind you get at wallie). Raw carrots, (YES 100% raw). Raw broccoli. And literally boiled chicken. The items were not even sautéed. The noodles were just mixed with soy sauce and probably microwaved. I don't know how else to describe this the food at this place. Don't let the low prices fool you. Stay away fellow yelp readers. Unless your in a mood to get ripped off. UTTERLY GARBAGE!

The drinks were so good, too. Loved the mojito with, I think, pomegranate in it. I don't remember, but it was so delicious! It was a fabulous dinner, and I will definitely be going back soon! The area has some fun shops, so next time I might come early and browse around. You can eat outside on a nice patio. Friendly staff, too. One of the best restaurants in St. Louis so far, and I'm pretty picky.

But right off the bat was one of my pet peeves: QR menus. Maybe when the pandemic was at its worst, they were necessary, but we've learned to live with it, so let's go back to physical menus. The service was super friendly, with our server training a newbie. We started with the Arepas con Platanos Maduros, a corn cake with veggie crumbles and platanos. They were really good. I'm always up for a dish with maduros, so I was happy to see this. For our main course, my boyfriend got the jambalaya, while I got the mushroom ravioli. He loved his dish. Mine was decent, but unless you love brussels sprouts, you may find them a bit overwhelming. I found myself wishing I'd ordered the katsu sandwich. (They were out of the maitake mushroom dish that looked interesting.) For dessert, we got the dark chocolate and tahini budino, a rich mousse, and the cinnamon bread pudding that was coved in a toasted aquafaba whip that was just divine. If, like me, you don't drink, you'll be glad to know the restaurant has a few zero-proof cocktails. I loved my Smokey Orchard, smooth drink with zero-proof whiskey, apple, rosemary, and lemon. My boyfriend got the Rhinestone Cowboy, which does have alcohol. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it to folks visiting.

A couple of friends who are vegan came along and they had plenty of options too, which made it easy for everyone to enjoy. The vibe was busy but not overwhelming--we just missed the weekend lunch rush, so timing helped. It's counter service, so you order up front and they bring the food out to your table. There was no place to check in for a table and there weren't separate lines for eat in and carry out. I got there first and didn't want to order before my friend got there. I saw an empty table so I sat down to wait. I was nicely told by one of the workers who was carrying around table numbers that I needed to be assigned a table number first. It was unclear when or how to get assigned a number, maybe when you order? Although the line moved pretty quickly it kept growing so when my friend arrived I ended up ordering online. Then I had to ask for a table. I wish they had clear signage or some way to inform about the process. I had the flying avocado turkey wrap which was fresh and delicious, although I didn't taste any avocado. Also ordered the green chili queso with chips which was great. I placed another order to go to take the Cajun shrimp boil home for dinner. It was good, too, although I should have had the hot dish for lunch and taken home the cold wrap. I'd like to try the avocado toast. Next time I will stand in line and order.

They just opened in April and I finally got to check it out this weekend. Currently, they are only open on the weekend. First impression, the inside is spacious with minimal decoration but adorned with many plants. It brings out a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. They also played some calming music in the background. The owners were an old couple and they made us feel so welcomed. They walked us through the menu and checked on us regularly to see if everything was to our linkings. The menu offered a wide variety of selections. I ordered the Hong sao mein, Crispy Suji Filet Bento and Five-spiced Dried Tofu. Our favorite was the bento because of the Suji filet. It tasted just like Taiwanese Crispy chicken with flavorful seasonings. The noodles soup was comforting and light. The broth was not oily and salty at all. The fake meat patty tasted like beef, super soft and tender. The five-spiced tofu was a bit salty so you would need to eat it with rice. They offer free hot tea and you can make yourself at the self-serve station. They have a big parking lot located next door but you can also park in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this restaurant and I would come back to try out more dishes.
