Popped in for dinner on Christmas Eve. Veggie spring rolls were served hot with that crispy outer shell and soft filling. My green curry with tofu was unlike any other Thai green curry I've had. The broth was much thinner and appeared more oily. That being said, it had GREAT flavor. I guess it was just light on the coconut milk? It was more translucent than I'm used to. There was a subtle kick and that savory, umami goodness. Soaking the rice in the broth and getting a chunk of tofu or eggplant was delicious. It's a small place but was clean and the service was friendly.

Absolute fire. Simple thai dishes in a no frills spot. Fast, casual, the perfect little neighborhood nook for a quiet date night. The menu is simple as to not overwhelm the spicy basil chicken is amazing. A bit of sweet with a lot of savory. I got spice level 5(their highest) and it really wasn't too hot. It did offer a nice tingle on the lips but no real heat on the tongue. I wanna sweat! Lol Workers were super polite, attentive, and efficient. It seems one of the chefs runs the food. They present it with grace, and gratitude. It is really nice to witness and observe. Almost like the food is being given a level of respect as well. Can't wait to get back!

Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines to ever exist. Give me some Thai, Indian, any other Asian cuisine any-day over most other cuisines. So, when we were craving dinner, I checked for Thai restaurants in the area. Chiang Mai popped up as less than 5 miles away, so I placed a takeout order. I didn't eat inside, but Chiang Mai is spacious and clean, and located in a desirable (but busy) area of Webster Groves. The service was friendly and they had my order hot and ready within 15 minutes. So, I was pretty excited to dig in when I got home. This is where the dilemma starts. We ordered Drunken Noodles and Pad See Ew, and both had an extremely authentic flavor, like Thai food should taste like. However, the dishes were 90% noodles. They were really lacking in vegetables and protein! If they doubled the portion sizes and added more protein/veggies-- this place would be a 5 star experience! Unfortunately, we were still hungry after spending almost $50!

Nice quick lunch spot. (I've never been at dinner time.). Service is fast and friendly. Dining room is small (maybe 8-10 tables?). Recommend the green curry, masaman curry, and pad Thai.

This was our first time going to this place. The Services were slow. I think our server was new. It took her 15 minutes to bring us our water after we sit down. The other server did help her out afterwards by removing our empty plates etc. The food was different to me. We got the Nua sawaan, drunken noodle, and green curry entree. The food was okay to me. I was kind of disappointed since I really thought this place would be authentic. So I gave this place the benefit of a doubt since I am not sure if this was just an off day. The drunken noodle is not as flavorful as other Thai place I had. It has some spice and lots of star anise but missing other essential flavors that I like. The green curry was not bad, however I had better green curry. The appetizer was decent , remind me of A specific Beef jerky flavor I had. Parking can be challenging at times if come during busy time if the day.

Came back and everything is still amazing. Chiang Mai never misses!!! Also guys GET THE NUA SAWAAN!! It's one of the appetizers / shareable small plates - "marinated flash fried coriander beef strips, sea salt, palm sugar"). It was the best beef I've ever tasted in my life. Crispy, but not burnt--perfectly flavorful, amazing texture, comes with an incredible tangy but slightly sweet sauce. Just wow. Also I got the Khao soi again---also still delicious. I LOVE CHIANG MAI SO MUCH!! Portions are great and the skill level of their chef is out of this world. Food also came out fast and the interior is super cute with air conditioning lol

Very bland chicken wings. Crispy but bland as heck.

I'm guessing the good reviews here are from people that have never been to Thailand. The food is awful. I literally had a few bites and I'm done. No interest in finishing this. Not even worthy of being the Panda Express of Thai food. It's the most disappointing Thai food I've eaten.

My new favorite Thai restaurant in St. Louis. Starters were actually delectable. First time trying Thai sausage and while the flavor was good, it was a bit dryer than I expected. The khao soi was also solid, but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The star of the show was hands-down the gaeng hung lay. Sweet, savory, rich, and good depth of flavor -- This dish is a must-try. An excellent and memorable meal all around. I will definitely be returning. Favorite dishes: Thai iced tea, som tum, gaeng hung lay

This was our first stop during our first time in St. Louis and we were craving Thai food. This is a quaint little spot in Webster Groves (a cool street with so many great restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops). We ordered the Laarb Koi, Nam Ngiaw, and the Pork Red Curry and everything was very delicious! Our favorite dish was definitely the Nam Ngiaw which is a regional northern Thai dish. The broth was super flavorful and it was the perfect balance of spicy and savory. I think the service and hospitality could have been better. It wasn't as warm as we have experienced here in the Midwest. But overall; the food was delicious and we would come back for it! Check them out if you're in the area.

The ambiance is like a bistro. Clean and simple

We recently ordered take out and it was really! Was on time and fresh and hot! We had drunken noodles 1 w shrimp the others w chicken, steamed dumplings and po piah veggie rolls. All terrific!

    Andrea S.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants that I had. The flavors are very complex and delicious. Service was fast. We parked in a nearby strip mall and walked over. Decoration was very simple.

    Rice and Nam Ngiaw

Ordered through UberEats tonight and was really excited. Then it came and I was let down. Portion size of entrees is tiny with even smaller portions of rice/noodles. And if it was just this, I wouldn't leave a bad review. But then I found a HAIR in my nam ngiaw I usually give places second chances but not when it comes to food safety. Will not be coming again

    Pad Woon Sen Chicken

Pad Woon Sen has the whole head of onion in it. Quite over killed, would prefer more Woon sen than onion. Maybe should be called Pad Onion. For this dish earns 2 stars in my opinion. It is a miss and not recommend this dish unless you love onion. Both green and white onions. Other dishes were better like Kang Hung Lae. Will stick to laarb kua and sai uah.

Why volleyball? Well....why not? The only detractor from this overall, near perfect experience, was a longer than expected delay in getting those yummy mushrooms. This could be due to a kitchen staffing shortage or the bartender may have forgotten to ring order in....hey, it happens! We shared mussels, the beet salad, the soup flight, and the pot roast. Everything was good and tasted well prepared. The mussel broth was flavorful. The soups were excellent. The pumpkin and pear soup leaned toward a dessert profile but fit the season perfectly. The beet salad was not the typical style. The beets had a crisp texture you do not usually see, but the flavor was good and the goat cheese worked well. The pot roast was also solid with tender meat and plenty of flavor. Dessert was the coconut chocolate pie. It had sliced almonds that added some crunch and the portion was large enough to share. Drinks included the brandy margarita and the elderflower gimlet. Both were fine but the margarita was the standout. The cognac note gave it a deeper flavor. Overall, a pleasant dinner with good food and a cozy setting. I would return. This is the perfect spot to bring pretty much everybody, maybe not vegan, but plenty of options for vegetarians and pescatarians. A crowd pleaser. 4/5 because although it's good and solid. However, I ordered the shakeajillio, which was pretty basic espresso martini, not my favorite I've ever had, but just so-so. Every single person in my party was absolutely blown away with the food. We tried several of the tapas and shared as a table, my absolute favorites are as follows (in order): 1. Agnolotti - this one surprised me, but the pasta may have been the best I've ever had. It was the perfect thickness and had just enough bite, filled perfectly full of creamy goat cheese, and swimming in a perfectly balanced sauce. 2. Brussel Sprouts - hands down the best I've had. Crisped perfectly, with a tart and acidic glaze, loaded with toppings. I could NOT stop eating them, long after I was full. 3. Tuna on Toast - this was a popular one for the whole table--very unexpected but so, so good. The charred bread with a super soft interior that it came on was fabulous as well. This is also the only tapa I got a picture of. We also got the patatas bravas, Spanish Caesar, beef carpaccio, gambas Al ajillo, and chorizo white wine mussels--all also great, except for the carpaccio which was a little salty for my taste. It's worth noting that the portions are larger than I expected, WELL worth the price! One friend opted for a full size entree, and she went for the strip steak which she absolutely loved. If you haven't been, you simply MUST GO. Idol Wolf is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the whole city after just one visit. You've got a fan for life!

This included a 4-course meal and a glass of wine. We arrived around 6:50pm to find many other couples standing, waiting to be sat down. We checked in and were told to stand and wait. Around 7:30 pm, several other couples became impatient and were told they may sit at the bar. At this point, many 7:30pm seating time couples had arrived. At 7:45 pm, I watched 2 couples from the bar get seated at tables. I had watched them arrive to the rooftop off the elevator after my husband and I, so I spoke to one of the servers expressing our desire to be seated given it was now almost an hour past our seating time and that couples who had arrived after us were already being seated. To their credit, they sat us quickly, but it continued to go downhill from here. We waited 15 minutes for water, which we only got when we flagged down a server. Our food came out relatively quickly. During our first course, I asked for napkins (every other table had red fabric napkins) and our server brought us like 20 paper cocktail napkins, not ideal for a nice dinner. Our entrees eventually came, although the server brought out two of the cod entrees. My husband ordered steak. He brought my husband's steak, which he ordered medium, however when he cut in it was obviously rare. It was sent back. The next steak was also rare. We spoke with who appeared to be running the event and he stated he agreed it was rare (bleeding on the plate.) Finally on the third try, we received a medium rare steak, not as ordered, but close enough and at this point we wanted out of there as it was past 10 pm. Mind you, at this point we could feel the anger and frustration radiating from all of the 8/8:30 pm seating people who were still waiting on tables. We left quickly when our meal was done. We had one refill of water the entire 2hrs we were eating our meal. We were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink. This was a small event, maybe 15 tables. I'm not sure if it was overbooked, underpowered, or if they simply were just unprepared, but I've never had such a poor experience at a restaurant.

She made me a nice pumpkin cocktail. It was good, but not the best thing I've ever had. The inside is nice and it wasn't too crowded. The view is not the best ive ever seen, but the windows were open so the breeze felt nice on that warm night! Overall: the drinks were overpriced, but the inside is trendy. It was a nice place to hang out!

I usually always get take out although I've dined in a couple of times and have always received the best service. The menu is straightforward and has a variety of the staples - from curries, noodles, rice dishes and more. You're allowed to pick from a variety of spice levels which is nice! The street is sorta busy so I usually park near the McDonalds for pickup as it takes only 10-15 minutes for the order to be ready. Highly recommend! Food: 9/10 Price: 10/10 Service: 10/10

I get that this is a Thai restaurant, not Chinese (though it's more Chinese than I am), but Meyou might consider such a policy. I would have benefited from it yesterday. I visited on a Wednesday evening with members of a running group. There were umpteen of us. If we'd been given a single egg roll appetizer, we would have been forced to cut it in tiny pieces and share. I would have been willing to do that, because I'm a confirmed, avowed savage. My reputation precedes me. Arguably, they should give you one free appetizer for every six members of your party. But I digress. Now, where was I? Ah yes, Meyou. I'd describe this place as a somewhat Americanized version of Thai food, based on what little I know from having recently visited Bangkok and eaten in roughly 40 or 50 restaurants, food stalls and what have you over the course of a few days, i.e. not a whole lot. You can get pad thai and various other soups, noodles and curries, along with fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon and chicken wings. It's got a little something for everyone. Do they charge you $0.25 for extra soy sauce? Can you call up and try to harangue them into giving you a free order of crab rangoon by claiming that they shorted you the last time you were there, knowing good and well they can count better than you? I'm not sure. I might try that on my next visit and report back. This time, I went with something called Pad See Ew, which wasn't nearly as gross as its name suggests. In fact, it was good. Its description on the menu, with broccoli, eggs and soy sauce, called to mind various things I might order from a Chinese takeout--which is what I tend to look for in a menu item. As a noodle dish, I figured the overall flavor profile might not be different from a lo mein lunch special I used to get decades ago, that I still fondly reminisce about on a weekly basis. I wasn't that far off from the mark. They let you choose the spice level, ranging from mild to hot. I usually get hot in most places, but I'm hesitant to do that at Asian restaurants, because they might have access to peppers that are technically considered research chemicals, like Temu Ozempic, and therefore not subject to FDA approval. There were a few girls there, and I didn't want to run the risk of my throat starting to close up. I'd have to find a new run group. Medium turned out to be just right for me, but maybe too spicy if you're expecting something along the lines of a buffalo wing. Even the mild, apparently, has a bit of a kick to it. The noodles were nice and slippery and cooked a touch beyond al dente, right in that Goldilocks zone between undercooked and mush. The heat, and the complexity provided by whatever they use to season this, helped offset the underlying sweetness. You get your choice of meat. No Diddy. I went with pork, natch, with apologies to the Honorable Minister. The amount they give you is surprisingly generous, except that this dish will run you. I'm talking modern-day Chipotle prices. Maybe a dollar or two more. Yikes! But I'd argue that the quality justifies it. If I lived nearby, and I had the means, I'd stop by on occasion.
