How do they justify charging $13 for Edamame? I find that to be very excessive. Their entire menu seems to be rather over priced.

The first time we went wasprobably right around when things opened up after Covid. It was not great and we had no intention of going back. A while after that, we knew someone who played in a band that was playing at Satchmo's. We ate before we went there with another couple. There was nobody there (other than us) that wasn't "with the band" and that was only about 6-8 people. I had heard they were under new ownership and that it was way better than before. Some friends asked us to join them there on a Friday night and we went. It was so much better than it had been, but there weren't very many people there. Honestly, I think they should have changed the name. I have discovered that a lot of people didn't like it and hadn't realized there was a change in ownership. We had no trouble getting a table! Both our server, and the bartender, were great! Unfortunately I didn't get their names. They were both fun and took good care of us. The menu looks pretty good. The space was nice and clean. There are a lot of televisions - lots of games can be watched! I would say my only issue was my entree. I got the fish and chips, which I believe was a special. It wasn't great. It was two pieces of fish that were a bit too greasy and some fries. No slaw or anything else. We would definitely go back!

Steven was an amazing guide and has the whole place set up perfectly. I would recommend eating before you come, they do have snacks, that were really good, but nothing like a heavy dinner, which we probably needed. And I think i might have drank the whole gallon of water just trying to keep my self sane. Ha! Water is abundant. The guys got to rate all the kinds of whiskey and then make their own bottle, they got to name their bottle and we brought home 2 glasses. What I really paid for was the Barrel Experience and a tasting. I could see this spot getting very busy on the weekends, so I will say we went on a Thursday and we basically had the place to ourselves. There is plenty of comfy seating and the place has such great decor. If you or your partner like Whiskey, you need to check this out!

The owner was super friendly and even seemed happy to have me there which was awesome. I settled on a glass of Salted caramel Old Fashioned which packed a punch! He mentioned to me about their other special offerings and they also have a small bites menu to help offset those libations. Definitely a nice change of pace

We also ordered smoked chicken wings... you would think they would be similar NOPE.... smoked, very dry and tasteless. AND THEY WERE DEEP-FRIED. The coleslaw... You can taste the preservative it was not fresh! THE LAST WE WERE SITTING THERE AFTER WE PLACED OUR ORDER, WE NOTED THERE WAS A ADDITIONAL MENU SITTING ON THE TABLE.... OMG it was their new menu. We asked the waiter he said oh yeah, it's been there for a while. We keep forgetting to tell people.... All I can tell you is there were five or six additional things I would've ordered versus what was on the old menu. We won't be back two stars only for restaurant style smoked ribs At the end of all this, basically it appears that the owner doesn't really care. Wrote a huge book and says that people don't come to the restaurant for the coleslaw. I think coleslaw is an integral part of barbecue it refreshes your mouth between bites!

As they should on NYE. Still, we never felt rushed. In fact, our waiter, Todd, was very attentive and even slowed down another server who was going to bring us our salads (a house and a caesar with anchovies) before we had a chance to finish our appetizer (a savory and spicy jambalaya arancini). Good catch on his part. We both had a glass of prosecco to start and then split a bottle of French pinot noir (Domaine de Valmoissine) to go with our entrees (steak tip pasta and steak frites). My wife loved the pasta dish (fresh pappardelle with steak tips, demiglace cream sauce and shiitake mushrooms) and my steak was perfectly prepared medium-rare with crisp and flavorful garlic fries and a side of green beans and shiitake mushrooms. It's the kind of meal and service we've come to expect at Timothy's. We look forward to the spring and some new menu items with the change of seasonal foods.
