A friend of a friend mentioned how good the happy hour and Thursday night rib special is at Stackhouse Pub and Grill, so we decided to give it a try. It was super busy on a Thursday when we arrived at 5:50, but we did score a table for four right away, $1 beers and a great price on rib racks makes this spot hard to miss on a Thursday night. I will say that the ribs were excellent - smoky and fall off the bone tender. The cheeseburgers were equally good, tasty and cooked to perfection. The onion rings were lightly breaded and the fries were crisp. The Yuenglings were cold and the cosmopolitan was strong and flavorful. Outstanding happy hour. Excellent service. We were there last Thursday for happy hour. What a deal! Great discounts on appetizers and select beers are only $1.00. You can't beat it. Even better was the Thursday special. A half rack of smoked ribs with two sides for $14.95. I had fries and coleslaw and both were fresh and a generous portion. The fries were crisp and hot. This is a smoked meat restaurant... not a small house truly. The ribs were smoked very well, and of course fell off the bone, as they should in a restaurant! We also ordered smoked chicken wings... you would think they would be similar NOPE.... smoked, very dry and tasteless. AND THEY WERE DEEP-FRIED. The coleslaw... You can taste the preservative it was not fresh! THE LAST WE WERE SITTING THERE AFTER WE PLACED OUR ORDER, WE NOTED THERE WAS A ADDITIONAL MENU SITTING ON THE TABLE.... OMG it was their new menu. We asked the waiter he said oh yeah, it's been there for a while. We keep forgetting to tell people.... All I can tell you is there were five or six additional things I would've ordered versus what was on the old menu. We won't be back two stars only for restaurant style smoked ribs At the end of all this, basically it appears that the owner doesn't really care. There were several instances when I made a reservation the day prior and I would get there and no table was reserved for us. Most nights that wasn't a problem but that confusion was not my fault. The man who "took" the reservation never wrote it down or wrote the wrong name, or some other excuse. As far as your hostess is concerned, you said two weeks ago that she is young and needs more training. Apparently that didn't happen. As far as changing chairs on some evenings, many of the high top chairs are rickety and hard to sit on. We always asked, if someone was at a table, if we could have a chair if no one was seated there. We did the same last week when we needed 2 more chairs, since your staff was no help. If we took chairs from empty reserved tables, maybe it's because they weren't marked as such. I never asked for a compted meal last week, under my breath as you say. That is a lie. We may have been talking about one of the other members of our table whose potato was not only very well done but only 1/2 there to start. Your servers won't have to ever deal with me again because I won't be there, ever again. Most of the servers have only served us once or twice. You make me seem like a horrible human but I don't recall ever having a dispute or have ever been more than nice with the servers, only the hostess and now you. I've only come to have a good time with friends, play trivia, and have a good meal but that did not happen at your establishment last week. You did not seem to disturbed to tell us not to come back but almost seemed to back peddle when we told you that the other table we were hoping to switch to was not specifically reserved and that the staff lied about it. This restaurant has been on my "to-try" list and we were finally in the area, and ready to cheer on the Blues, so we stopped by. We asked for the Blues game to be turned on. The waitress told me she was fairly new, they weren't sure how to work all the TVs but they would try and when the owners returned they would for sure be able to. The Blues game did eventually end up on the TV in front of us. Don't know if the owners ever returned but she surely didn't return to our table for literally 20 minutes. We ordered our appetizer and main meals and sat back, already having a feeling it would take while. We always gets pretzels, they came out hot. My adult grilled cheese sandwich was dropped (literally) in front of me shortly after then my husband's burger came a few minutes later. He asked for mustard, she huffed and walked away. We grabbed another lady, asked again, she says yes and walks away. Mustard showed up 10 min later. Took forever to get drink refills then when the bill showed up, I asked for my drink to go and she huffed and walked off. They appear short staffed. Which, okay, I get it, lots of places are, however they need to not give attitude or the like when the guests you are serving ask for something. You're trying to get a tip, don't huff when they request something because that's part of the job. I ordered the Stackhouse burger. I'm forgot to specify the doneness on the burger but the menu said medium and that was fine for me. 15 minutes later, the burger and fries came out. The burger was very well done and the fries were a mix of done and overdone and badly seasoned. The top of the bun was on the plate but the pickle slices were under the bun top!! C'mon now!!! They charged me the bill of the other person at my table when we split a bill! They told me the charge would be dropped well it's still not! A person who's training? Ok whatever I'm so angry. So they actually charged me twice! My bill too! And the other persons bill that they charged me incorrectly! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE. They will waste it for you. Came in about 12:20 on Sunday. The place was maybe 25% full. Waited about 5 minutes by the sign that asked you to wait there till someone will seat you. Just to be told go pick out a table and I will bring you a menu. Another 3 minutes went by till we got menus and a fork rolled up in a napkin. 5 minutes later our drink order was finally taken. Then another 8 minutes went by and we finally received our drinks and placed our order. The table beside us came in a few minutes after we did and ordered after we did. They received their food about 15 minutes later, they had burgers. We are still waiting. It was 37 minutes for us to get a kids pizza, fish tacos, and a burger. We are thinking, great we can eat, but we were wrong. My wife asked for no slaw on the fish tacos, and it was all on there. I had no condiments for my burger, also no knife to cut it in half, or a knife to cut my toddler's pizza. We asked for the taco's to be fixed and 2 knives and my condiments. It took 12 minutes for another server to finally bring the corrected tacos out. But wait, like we have been doing, there was no knives or condiments. Also we needed refills on drinks, because we have been there over an hour now. My food got cold while waiting for my condiments, and also not wanting to eat while my wife did not have food. The also will only give you about a half an ounce of ketchup for an order of fries and to put on your burger. But they won't give you a knife to put it on the burger. A couple minutes later the other server brought the knives and condiments. We had not seen our server at our table in about 45 minutes at this point. She was just standing in a corner with other servers looking at their phones and chatting. She finally came over and pointed at the empty glasses and snarkly said do you want some more to drink? No we want empty glasses when we finally received our food. She generically said sorry for your wait. They messed up our order, other tables sat down after us and finished their food and left by the time we finally were able to eat. You would think they would at least take off one $3 soda we ordered. Well if you think that, you are wrong. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE. The service is non existent, the food is mediocre at best, and they obviously do not care about their customers. read more

First time here. Food was really good. Portions were good for the price. The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable with the food item choices. There is a little for everyone. There are a lot of tvs everywhere!!! They also have a big golf simulator and some games in a private room. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside. Will never be ordering from this restaurant again. We have dined in a few times. The food is decent which is the only reason it's getting 1 star. But service is horrible. Every single time we have been here it takes more than 20 minutes from the time we are seated until a server comes to speak to us. And then another 20+ minutes for food to be prepared. Doesn't work out well when you've got a hungry 5 year old. Today we ordered online and it said pickup at 4:30. We arrived at 4:30 only to be told the order hadn't been started yet. I showed up at lunch, not busy but a good crowd for a Friday lunch. Bought the Big Al's (or something like that) burger with pulled pork BBQ and pepper jack on it with a side of fries and a couple of yeungling on tap. It was GOOD!!! Service was great, food arrived quickly, beer was cold. Tons of TV's to get caught up on the sports I slept through yesterday. The place was clean. Bar area (where I always sit when I'm solo) was clean and plenty of room to eat. There's a lot of sit down table room if you're coming as a family or group.
