Walking in the place was not too inviting , maybe we hit them after a rush- there was a table that still hadn't been bussed. My wife and I went to the counter to ordered. The gentlemen spoke in a soft tone and was kind of hard to understand I ordered Kung Pao Chicken mild spice and my wife ordered Lemongrass Chicken. The guy seemed like he wanted to be somewhere else. We sat down to table that didn't seem very clean. By this time I was ready to just get my food and eat it. To sum it all up- what I got was peanut chicken that was bland and my wife got the lemongrass chicken that was...not so good. Chalk it to having a bad day- but l doubt that I'll roll the dice on this place again.

Love the Pho here! Didn't have to ask for more portions of noodles like other places. And the bonus was the extra thick beef.

    Hot Braised Chicken Boneless Combo

priced bit higher than most take outs. but i really like the food regardless. dishes of note: honey garlic chicken, asian chili chicken, pad thai, and bourbon chicken. get the chicken as boneless or as wings (minus bourbon) then as a combo.

If you haven't been to China King Crestwood since new management took over in October, you really should give it a try. They use fresh vegetables and the sauce in the entrees is lighter and brothier than typical Chinese food (thick, gloppy sauce). It's a little more expensive than other places, but a great example of you get what you pay for.

Egg roll, wanton, hot sour soup

Very good hot & sour soup and egg foo young, egg rolls, crab Rangoon. & wanton. Try it, Danny the owner, is here most of the time & just took over China King Resterant, at 167 Watson Plaza (behind Kohl's & near Walgreens). Get a stamp card too & you'll get a free appetizer when you get ten stamps.

When we walked in I was impressed with two things. The smell of seafood heavy in the air and the decor. Definitely takes you back to the ocean and seafood ! The service was pretty good and our server (Alyssa) was spot on. Friendly and always checking on us. She was helpful too giving us suggestions on what to order. So we picked the Special B. Came in about 15 minutes and was huge. Tons of shrimp, crab legs, corn, sausage, potatoes the most amazing juice it sat in. Here's a tip. Bring your own rubber disposable gloves. You're gonna get messy and their gloves fit loose. Awesome place, really good seafood, great service and a pretty good price.

I ordered the kirkwood combo with mild spice and old bay and garlic seasoning. There was crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. The spice was a bit spicy for mild but it didn't bother me, I only bring this up for the spice sensitive. It was just enough for one person to eat if they were Hungry, but feasibly could be enough for two with small appetites. There were a good number of shrimp and crab legs and they were fresh and tasty. I don't like sausage so I didn't eat that but I did eat the potatoes and corn and they were delicious soaked in the liquid from my boil. I have been looking for a decent boil because my daughter also loves boils and down south where we lived for quite some time there are plenty. Storming crab will be our go to place for boils. It was really very good. Also let me add before I end, one thing that drew me here was prices. I don't mind paying for a good boil but I do mind if it is too much for me to eat and half gets thrown out. It was nice to find a place that had a good boil for one person that was priced well for the food received. I am very happy with my decision to go here and will definitely be back.

For the price you're paying (almost $20 an entree), I feel like you should be getting a little more meat. But at least it's good. I wasn't impressed with the food. The chips were great. The salsa was just okay. It initially has a smokey taste. I assumed it was fire roasted. Then is was sweet. Finally it was sort of sp8cy. It was pretty unique. The guacamole was excellent. The Mexican rice was decent. The Mexican Street Corn was okay. I've had much better. It was smokey at first bite. It moved to a sweet flavor then a hint of spice. It was my least favorite thing that I had. I won't get it again. But I can eat it. I had the wagyu flank steak. I dont believe it was actually wagyu. It was chewy and salty. That's not typical of wagyu. Normally it is very tender and flavorful. The saly took away from the beef. The chicken enchiladas was good, but not great. I had a Margarita and Sangria to drink. The Margarita was strong but something was missing. The Sangria was okay. Again I've had much better. There was plenty of parking. They have a full bar. We shared mussels, the beet salad, the soup flight, and the pot roast. Everything was good and tasted well prepared. The mussel broth was flavorful. The soups were excellent. The pumpkin and pear soup leaned toward a dessert profile but fit the season perfectly. The beet salad was not the typical style. The beets had a crisp texture you do not usually see, but the flavor was good and the goat cheese worked well. The pot roast was also solid with tender meat and plenty of flavor. Dessert was the coconut chocolate pie. It had sliced almonds that added some crunch and the portion was large enough to share. Drinks included the brandy margarita and the elderflower gimlet. Both were fine but the margarita was the standout. The cognac note gave it a deeper flavor. Overall, a pleasant dinner with good food and a cozy setting. I would return. This is the perfect spot to bring pretty much everybody, maybe not vegan, but plenty of options for vegetarians and pescatarians. A crowd pleaser. 4/5 because although it's good and solid.
