Plexiglass shielding the counter with only a small place to hand out orders. Freezing cold inside. The girl that took my order seemed to speak English well, however, I had to repeat myself several times and even pointed in the paper menu what I wanted - shrimp/mushrooms/shoots. She asked me if I wanted half or whole order. I should have known then she still didn't understand me. I said half and ended up getting shrimp fried rice. This actually worked out because it was easier to eat in the theatre. Was charged for shrimp fried rice. Seemed like there was a lot of carry out orders. Fried rice was as expected. I don't know....frustrating. I don't think we will do this again.

The crab ragoon was only filled with cream cheese. The rice was just bland in my opinion and definitely needed some soy sauce. If you are looking for some flavor I'd look elsewhere. They are huge thick soft pieces with enough crispness on the outside. It's a good introduction to how seriously Chinese people take tofu and how in other countries they have a huge variety of tofu, vs the select few we have in the U.S. And I used to be partial to the spicy fried fish at cate zone, but chilispot has upgrade this dish a lot. It's perfectly crispy and hot!!! Even if you don't like fish, it's a great dish and also makes for great leftovers. I know the fried chicken is popular but I find the chicken pieces are too small. It was excellent and had just the right amount of heat. I also enjoyed the smoky ham fried rice, although it lacked the distinct smoky aroma I was expecting. Some of the other dishes didn't quite land for me. The fish soup wasn't my favorite, and the beef noodle soup wasn't especially memorable. The cumin lamb, however, was better than expected and ended up being one of the stronger dishes we ordered. That said, the service was friendly, the portions were generous, and there are plenty of interesting options on the menu. I'd definitely come back to try some different dishes next time.

I also, use their Egg Roll and Crab Rangoon. I liked their Crab Rangoon. I was glad to see that even though it was not on the menu, you could order a half size. Their Rangoon was crispy and the filling was extra creamy and had a sufficient amount of crab. The Egg Roll was average in size. I've had bigger and do prefer my Egg Rolls to be on a larger size. However, it was extra crispy and the pork filling had good flavor. After the first bite, I added a healthy dab of Low-Sodium Soy Sauce (my personal bottle at home). My serving of General Tso's was a hearty portion. It could have been spicier for me, but I did like that the breading on the chicken was a light coating. You have a choice of white or fried rice and I choose, Fried. The fried rice was on the dry side, I may have to go white next time. The young lady working the front counter was pleasant and friendly. When an order was ready, another young lady brought it out from the kitchen and she was equally as friendly and professional. If you want to dine it, they do have tables that you can enjoy your meal. New China is okay, I'll be back. However, I'm still going to search for my perfect new Chinese Carry-Out restaurant.

We started getting food from this business when a good friend of ours lived in a nearby apartment complex. The food is AWESOME!!! We LOVE their chicken on a stick. Their crab rangoons are great and their dumplings are killer!! My favorite go-to dish is their chicken mei fun which brings me to their other great quality...their service! We used to think that they were so fast and friendly because we were ordering very close to their business but then our friend moved. We found out that they still deliver to us (we live on the other side of town) and they are still exceptional!! Anytime my husband and I go there the young man behind the counter knows what I'm going to get. :) We don't really go there all that often, maybe once every other month so the fact that he remembers me is really touching. Plus, they throw in extras along with your order if you're a frequent customer. I definitely recommend this place! read more

The rice was probably the weakest part of the meal for me. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just didn't have much flavor and didn't add a lot to the dish. Now the crab Rangoon? Really good! Crispy, not overly stuffed, and the filling had just enough flavor without being too heavy. The soup was also an unexpected little delight.
