She asked me if I wanted half or whole order. I should have known then she still didn't understand me. I said half and ended up getting shrimp fried rice. This actually worked out because it was easier to eat in the theatre. Was charged for shrimp fried rice. Seemed like there was a lot of carry out orders. Fried rice was as expected. I don't know....frustrating. I don't think we will do this again.

However, it was extra crispy and the pork filling had good flavor. After the first bite, I added a healthy dab of Low-Sodium Soy Sauce (my personal bottle at home). My serving of General Tso's was a hearty portion. It could have been spicier for me, but I did like that the breading on the chicken was a light coating. You have a choice of white or fried rice and I choose, Fried. The fried rice was on the dry side, I may have to go white next time. The young lady working the front counter was pleasant and friendly. When an order was ready, another young lady brought it out from the kitchen and she was equally as friendly and professional. If you want to dine it, they do have tables that you can enjoy your meal. New China is okay, I'll be back. However, I'm still going to search for my perfect new Chinese Carry-Out restaurant.

This establishment is owned by the rudest business owners I think I've ever encountered. When you call in an order it's like you're upsetting them because they have to answer the phone. If you aren't there by the exact time they give you before you need to pick up your food ( and I mean less than five minutes) then they will repeatedly call your phone asking you when you will be there. If you try and call in an order a half hour before they close or even try to pick one up they will either tell you they are closed or not answer their phone. I live near this restaurant so I don't have to many options as far as delivery goes and apparently this place delivered at one time but now if you call them they just tell you that "We don't deliver". If you ask them what time they stopped delivering they simply repeat "We don't deliver. From what I understand this place is owned by two of the crabbiest and meanest sisters in this area and they hate all of their customers. The food may be sufficient in this place but to have to it made for you you better hope they are in a good mood if you want to place an order. This is a joke and people need to start just walking out and letting these people know that you can't treat customers like assholes when you're trying to run a business. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at China Wok on 4269 Bayless Ave, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming ambiance set the stage for a delightful meal. The decor is charming, blending traditional Chinese elements with a modern touch, creating a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere The food was absolutely phenomenal. We started with the egg rolls, which were perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor. For our main courses, we tried the General Tso's chicken and the beef with broccoli--both dishes were cooked to perfection, with generous portions and a wonderful balance of flavors. Let me explain to you why China Wok is the best Chinese restaurant in St. Louis. First off the food is very cheap and affordable. Secondly, the service is great and usually only takes about 10 minutes. Lastly the general tso chicken is to die for, and the crab rangoons are so amazing. If your not in the mood for chicken no need to fear their St. Paul sandwiches are amazing too. I definitely recommend China Wok any day of the week. I always order from here probably once or twice a month, its ok not good but ok. I ordered some lo mein noodles and the were burnt and nasty we didnt eat them i threw them out. I always order orange chicken its either too much sauce or too little sauce. If you want a quick dinner order from here but don't expect too much! read more

We also enjoyed the crab rangoon and potstickers, both of which were satisfyingly crispy with a good wrapper-to-filling ratio. I called in my order and drove to the restaurant immediately, taking about 10 minutes to get there. By the time I walked in my food was ready. The restaurant is definitely no frills and is takeout/delivery only, but service was friendly and fast. This will definitely be our new go to spot for classic Chinese takeout!
