Not only was the pad kee mow and pad soo ew amazing, the fact that you can choose your spice level was awesome, as well as the Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee also some of the best I've tried. My Fiancee and I were looking for something new this past Summer and found this place on yelp. Went in and were SO delighted with what we got. Will admit that am on the Purple Weight Watchers Diet and will order the Chicken Summer Rolls and Amazing Pra-Ram every time (I score 3 tbsps of Peanut Sauce, tsp. of Sesame Seeds and a Rice Paper Wrapper = 9 points). Amazing is right. I love this stuff and crave it now almost once a week. For the diet, I order brown rice. $3 might seem like a lot for brown rice, but it's definitely worth it. It's not your typical brown rice, when asked they say it's a Japanese version. All I know is it's the best brown rice I've found in a restaurant, and pairs really well with the peanut flavor in the Pra-Ram. Making sure we order Carry-Out with the same frequency that we would dine in, thanks to the need for Social Distancing. This is an unassuming place tucked into a strip mall. I though that I found a gem in the rough according to the high rating, but it turned out to be disappointing. What counts is the food, right? Well, I ordered the Pad Thai and was looking forward to a tasty and flavorful dish. It wasn't that. The flavor was bland and the noodles had a consistently that didn't meet my expectations. Oh well. Always so satisfied with this restaurant!! It's clean, has a great atmosphere, kind staff and delicious food. My favorite dishes are the Crab Orchids, Tom Ka Soup, and Pineapple Fried Rice. Even though it was a very busy Friday night the quality of the food was still perfect and the wait staff was still patient and kind. I also love the beautiful wall paper on the walls, makes the ambiance special. Last time I came in we weren't paying attention to the fact that they are closed for an hour in between lunch and dinner, and we interrupted their lunch/dinner break, but since it was towards the end they took care of us anyways! Thai tea- perfect, not too sweet, great flavor, cut the spice of my noodles well 3 mushroom tom yum soup- If I could I would fill a bathtub with this and drink my way out of it. We were sick and tired of trying "Thai" food at Chinese Restaurants so we decided to hunt down an authentic Thai Restaurant and came upon REAL THAI. We visited Real Thai on a Sunday for lunch...we were greeted by a super friendly host, she was very polite and answered all of our questions while maintaining an authentic smile on her face...she was just happy! We started with the Fried Sweet Corn Cakes and they were fantastic, the waitress told us later she also loved them. My wife had the Panang Curry with Vegetable and I had the Massaman Curry with Chicken and both dishes were out of this world. The medium spice level was just right, enough to give it some great flavor, but not so much as to melt your taste buds. To finish of our meal we ordered the Sweet Sticky Rice with Homemade Coconut Ice Cream. WOW WOW WOW!!! What else can I say...it's was the perfect way to end a fantastic meal. And to make the meal even better, the chef came out and introduced himself to us, we had a nice little conversation and he was genuinely thankful for our very positive comments. We ordered via doordash and our food was supposed to be ready at 8:18 And wasn't ready till 8:35. Also the portion size for the pad prik king we got was laughable. This was our 5th or 6th time getting takeout and the portion size was less than half of what we usually get. The pad see yew was good, but was not very hot and barely even warm. We typically call in the order, but this time we did doordash so I'm not sure if it is new for them and they were having trouble. There were 5 others waiting for takeout when we got there so it seemed they were very behind and maybe split a whole portion in two. Food is mediocre but consistent. One-star rating: Do not order food from Real Thai online through Doordash, because they will take NO responsibility if the wrong order is delivered to you. On this snowy evening, I ordered $50 worth of overpriced, subpar Thai food and received an order that was clearly not mine. I chased down the delivery guy to see if he had mixed up the orders since I was missing 3 out of the 4 items that I selected online. The delivery guy shrugged his shoulders and told me to take it up with Real Thai. He also suggested making a complaint with Doordash (which I did). Cut to me calling the restaurant where three different employees tried to convince me that I had the right order in a very hostile manner. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. In the past, I was a repeat customer, mostly out of desperation. However, this last encounter has sealed the deal. I will no longer be a patron of this faux Thai establishment. read more

This restaurant has really really delicious food. Although, the service is about one star. They always say it takes about 35 minutes for takeout even For a small one person order and then when I get there after 25 minutes my food is already ready. I understand this place has homemade food and it takes a little bit to prepare. Also, I called and complained that I barely got any rice with my curry one night and they would not help me at all. The next time I ordered I asked if they could give me extra rice and they said they would have to charge me extra! The food is good but not good enough to keep going when the service is subpar at best. It is really unfortunate because it's really the only thai restaurant close to me. read more

Sad to write this review, but after ordering here regularly for a few years, we have had several recent disappointing experiences. Today we ordered to-go food, got home and was missing an item, had smaller than average portion sizes and had only carrots, broccoli and cabbage in my veggie pad Thai that I requested extra veggies with different varieties and paid for. Also, the phone is answered with "it'll be an hour for take-out", no greeting, no service. I guess they are too busy to give quality service and product... I enjoyed our meal here. I had the N4(per another yelp review) and some tom yum soup. The soup was really interesting, the N4 was good. Service was fast and friendly. Was going to give a 4 star review - but my wife and I spent the day together and we both had the same meals for breakfast and dinner, but at Real Thai we had something different from each other for lunch. She spent the night very sick and I didn't. Impossible to say for sure what caused it, but if it were anything else we ate that day I think we would have both been sick. read more

I Really enjoyed the Red Curry but it was more mild than medium. The place is nearly deserted during weekday lunch but I sense that they do a large takeout business. Corn cakes were cold in the middle and not cooked through. The potatoes in the curry were overcooked and turned into mash, giving the curry an odd texture. The best Thai food in the Denver area. Incredibly authentic and delicious, perfect portions, and fair prices. The restaurant itself is good size and plays the most relaxing and non intrusive music- it is tucked away in a shopping center, so definitely a literally hidden gem. I had the pineapple curry and it rocked my world. The crab orchids are delicious as well- exactly how you want a wonton to taste; creamy savory middle, soft yet crisp outside. So good. Too good. Doing our best to support small businesses, but at the same time we absolutely wasted our time and money dining at "Real Thai" a couple days ago. Been to Thailand? This place doesn't come close. Over priced, undercooked, and not authentic. Plus, we ate off styrofoams and forced ourselves to swallow our orders. Tom Kha was empty $14 soup that they use the paste you could buy yourself at stores (I walked by the dry storage) I had 4 small pieces of tough stew beef I forced swallowed and raw chopped button mushrooms . The green curry was raw too. It had sweet peas that over powered the entire curry as it was also raw. Calamari was all batter and the sauce?, I asked, server said she doesn't know. "She made it at the back. I don't know." I didn't even try it as my hub said it was like tomato paste with added hot spices. Papaya salad was an entree size and pricey. sticky rice wasn't really sticky with mango slices and that was pretty pricey too. Coconut shrimp was what it was. I get it. I will pay for good food, but when it truly doesn't even come close and we walk out $100 unhappy. Don't bother. Trader Joe's win a million times for any Thai food and you just spent $5 bucks. Use the microwave and make a picnic by the park for dining out, I guess. Sad to share this post. read more

I'm in Wheat Ridge, CO a few times a year for business and always make it a point to drop in for a meal. We have a lot of good Thai restaurants in Hawaii where I live but this restaurant is ranked high on my list as very authentic. This trip I enjoyed the Tum Yum 3 Mushroom soup, deep fried catfish and finished the meal with dessert -- the sweet sticky rice with mango. Washed it all down with a Thai ice tea.
