My favorite go to takeout Chinese in arvada. As someone who's gluten free, it's a pleasure to be able to eat Chinese again!

Dropped in for lunch and saw they have French onion dumplings. Dumplings were good, but not worth $14.00 for only 4 dumplings!

It's not fancy, but it's clean with comfy booths, reasonable prices, good sized portions (I had to take some of my lunch home) & the food...fresh & fantastic. We arrived for lunch on a Tuesday & it was busy. Service was good & very attentive. Note, they are open 4PM- 9PM on Sundays, closed Mondays & open the remaining days from 11AM-9PM. I had the Walnut Shrimp lunch special for $12.95. This came with a choice of soup, I had the Hot & Sour Soup which was quite tasty, It also came with a choice of one egg roll or two crabmeat cheese wontons. I had the egg roll & it was good...nice & crispy. In addition, I chose fried rice, (or you could have steamed). The fried rice was yummy, some of the best I've had. The shrimp were wonderful, crispy battered, big & super flavorful, lots of walnuts, topped with a light sauce, that was sweet & creamy. What a great meal, I'm looking forward to my next Tea Garden visit.

I love that the delicious food comes straight from the heat to the container, but i'm just afraid of all the plastic leeching into the food because of how hot it is as a to-go order. Honestly, if this soup were a person, I'd leave it everything in my will. Consistently perfect, which is saying a lot in a world full of disappointing sequels and watery broths. My dining partner, loyal as ever, ordered the sesame chicken--a classic, reliable, sticky-sweet MVP. It's the kind of dish that knows exactly what it is and doesn't try to be anything else. Like your favorite 90s sitcom: comforting, predictable, and always leaves you a little happier than when you started. You can't go wrong with it unless you're one of those people who thinks ketchup is spicy. Now, me--I decided to get bold. Brave. Adventurous, even. I ordered the Sizzling Scallop and Beef because I saw the word "sizzling" and got all hot and bothered. Let's just say... the dish sizzled more in concept than execution. First, the beef and scallop themselves? Decent. The scallops had a nice sear and weren't rubbery, so no complaints there. The beef was tender-ish, not a shoe sole, and full of flavor so points for that too. But the vegetables--oh, the vegetables--were clearly having an identity crisis. Undercooked and a little stringy in that "did-we-even-try?" sort of way. I love a crisp snap pea as much as the next food snob, but I didn't come here to gnaw through a jungle. Now for the plot twist: there was fruit in the mix. Surprise! Normally I'd raise an eyebrow, but shockingly, the fruit was the best part--sweet, juicy, and weirdly harmonious with the seafood and beef. It was like a B-list actor who unexpectedly steals the movie. Didn't see that coming, but hey, at least someone showed up to perform. Final verdict: Hot and Sour Soup - Still my ride or die. Sesame Chicken - Reliable boyfriend material. Sizzling Scallop and Beef - Gave me a lukewarm hug and asked me to pretend it was fire. Would I go back? Obviously. Would I order the sizzling mystery again? Only if I'm in the mood to chew through missed potential. Stick with the classics, folks. They're classics for a reason. Next time I'll go with the mushroom beef, it was my happy place last time.

We decided to share an order of crab rangoons. Love those! they come with a sweet sauce for dipping. I chose to have the Drunken Noodles with chicken. The shrimp spring roll was good except one section had a bug in it. It happens, I just didn't eat that piece. The pho broth was deep and rich, tasted like it had been simmering for a long time. I enjoyed our meal here and would definitely come back!

The dining room is still closed, they essentially keep the dining room as a storage closet lol. You walk in to pick up your order and they have tables blocking the entry, that's where you pay for your food. The portions are still as giant as ever, and the prices are still affordable. My wife and I had a hankering the other day for our old stomping grounds, so we jetted over there to pickup an order. It was ready in 10 minutes and two meals ran us $32. I think I pay $32 for a good cup of coffee these days!!!!!! I kid, I kid. The meal lasts you for days, you really get two giant sized portions out of it. It will probably last some of you three days. They don't skimp out here and it's incredible. They serve Asian fusion, Chinese American meals that are addictive. Or is that the MSG??? Probably so, and that's why it's delicious. I appreciated this since there was no way anything was going to tip over & spill. Very friendly phone & counter service as well. Note, you get six free Cheese Wontons when your order is more than $40. We ordered three different entrees with three different sides - Steamed White Rice, Fried Rice & Lo Mein Noodles. The sides were good, however the fried rice didn't seem fried, it was white rice with soy sauce. The Sweet & Sour Shrimp Entree was tasty - the shrimp were medium sized, cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. The Sesame Chicken Entree was even better, the chicken was moist & tender. The beef in the Mongolian Beef Entree was great however there were way too many onions in the dish. Overall, a very satisfying meal.

LOT FOOD FOR A GREAT COST!…read more We were HUNGRY! My Aspen (service dog loves shrimp!!) I'm the Veggie, and we were searching for a place rather close. Searching the area, we found a quiet unassuming, in a quiet neighborhood strip mall, simple place. Read the reviews, Hmmm sounds interesting. The Egg Drop soup was EXCELLENT, The Shrimp, well my Aspen devoured after I had one, it was plump - tender and flavorful. The Veggies, this is MY YUM and PLENTIFUL!! For most of the time, the main service problem was that the chief waitress was often obnoxious and loud. But we put up with that until they committed an act of rudeness such that I had never experienced before in a restaurant. The events occurred on an evening in which we brought guests with us: two other adults and their two small children. They had a series of take-out orders that evening, which they were prioritizing over in-restaurant customers. For about a half hour the staff simply refused to take our order, telling us to wait and order later. Eventually, they agreed to take our drink requests---which, except for water, never came. Meanwhile, people were coming in and picking up food regularly, while we sat there and they refused to even let us get into the order queue! Finally, after we'd been there at least 45 minutes, the kids were hungry and restless, so we started to leave. The waitress saw us leaving, and came over and disingenuously asked whether we wanted to order now. We said that because of the children we couldn't wait any longer, and we left. This contemptuous treatment of faithful in-restaurant customers was too much for us, and we have never gone back.
