Chicken broccoli, fried rice, hot and sour soup, Family tofu
Yvonne J.

4.5 stars. Tea Garden was a great choice for dinner the other night. We ordered takeout and they packaged the food really well, the food was still piping hot when we got home. The chicken and tofu dish weren't too salty and had a pretty good proportion of protein and veggies. The veggies were cooked well - soft but still had a crunch. The hot and sour soup had limited ingredients, it was mainly just broth and small bits of egg and bamboo. The flavor was great, I just wish it had more things in it. The fried rice was tasty! Good flavor and not too salty. I feel like other restaurants offer more food. We did have leftovers, but not as much as when we dine in other places. We'll likely go back the next time we have a Chinese food craving!

We revisited this place for a quick review of their lunch take out. I really wanted to try other entrees but this time I wanted to confirm if the sesame chicken was as good as the last time. At lunch you get egg roll or won tons plus fried or steamed rice. Soup and tea are not included. Still we wanted a quick lunch at home so take out was our choice. My spouse had cashew chicken. I can report that once again the food was great. The sesame chicken was perfecto! It was moist and very tasty with the egg roll and fried rice. The portion was enough for two meals though someone very hungry could eat it all in one seating. I made two meals out of it. Clearly the best sesame chicken I've had in Colorado. The cashew chicken was also quite tasty. This place has been there a long time and some have commented on that even saying it seems dated. However I found it charming inside and my food was ready on time so I was in and out after paying online through their website. Now I remain anxious to try other items. The pricing is reasonable and competitive. This place remains my favorite for Chinese food and well worth a visit by those who favor Chinese dishes.

We love coming here. The food is always good, the service is quick, and the ambiance makes you feel comfortable (they have not remodeled this place since the 90s, it feels like being in someone's home). We always split the general tso's chicken, steamed rice, and green tea. It is plenty of food for two!

My one and only experience leaves me conflicted. At first the name is super enticing, but it's not like a tea garden I would expect. Then the food seems overpriced until I realized the portions are like a typical Chinese restaurant and you get 1 order that 2 people could definitely share. In the end, the workers changed my rating from a 3 to a 4 star because the inside is nothing to gawk at. Probably won't go back but I'm glad I went once to support them.

I ordered delivery and part of the order was missing. I requested a credit from the delivery service.

Best Chinese food in Arvada hands down. I live right around the corner but if I lived 30 mins away I would still order takeout.

I love that the delicious food comes straight from the heat to the container, but i'm just afraid of all the plastic leeching into the food because of how hot it is as a to-go order. Place was peaceful and had an easy menu to read, so would love to come again when in the area

Thick, rich, tangy…read morewith just the right kick of pepper--like a warm slap in the face from an old friend who knows you needed it. Honestly, if this soup were a person, I'd leave it everything in my will. Consistently perfect, which is saying a lot in a world full of disappointing sequels and watery broths. My dining partner, loyal as ever, ordered the sesame chicken--a classic, reliable, sticky-sweet MVP. It's the kind of dish that knows exactly what it is and doesn't try to be anything else. Like your favorite 90s sitcom: comforting, predictable, and always leaves you a little happier than when you started. You can't go wrong with it unless you're one of those people who thinks ketchup is spicy. Now, me--I decided to get bold. Brave. Adventurous, even. I ordered the Sizzling Scallop and Beef because I saw the word "sizzling" and got all hot and bothered. Let's just say... the dish sizzled more in concept than execution. First, the beef and scallop themselves? Decent. The scallops had a nice sear and weren't rubbery, so no complaints there. The beef was tender-ish, not a shoe sole, and full of flavor so points for that too. But the vegetables--oh, the vegetables--were clearly having an identity crisis. Undercooked and a little stringy in that "did-we-even-try?" sort of way. I love a crisp snap pea as much as the next food snob, but I didn't come here to gnaw through a jungle. Now for the plot twist: there was fruit in the mix. Surprise! Normally I'd raise an eyebrow, but shockingly, the fruit was the best part--sweet, juicy, and weirdly harmonious with the seafood and beef. It was like a B-list actor who unexpectedly steals the movie. Didn't see that coming, but hey, at least someone showed up to perform. Final verdict: Hot and Sour Soup - Still my ride or die. Sesame Chicken - Reliable boyfriend material. Sizzling Scallop and Beef - Gave me a lukewarm hug and asked me to pretend it was fire. Would I go back? Obviously. Would I order the sizzling mystery again? Only if I'm in the mood to chew through missed potential. Stick with the classics, folks. They're classics for a reason. Next time I'll go with the mushroom beef, it was my happy place last time.

This is my family & I 2nd time here in Denver and after finding this place the 1st visit we make it a point to come to this location. We're located in Georgia so I think we have a good sense of good Chinese. I always get the Mongolian beef with fried rice (no egg; I'm allergic) My husband always gets the General Tso chicken with the fried rice and he ALWAYS orders this and never has a complaint. My son gets the Sesames chicken also with fried rice and it's sweet and crunchy as they fry the chicken to mix in their sauce and it's worth every penny. Every time! Service sometimes can be short in communication but expected especially when they're working all day and don't have time to eat but their food never misses! It's never crowded or busy when we come no matter the time of day, never noisy always sit at a booth. I highly recommend this place I will always come here when visiting Denv

LOT FOOD FOR A GREAT COST!…read more We were HUNGRY! My Aspen (service dog loves shrimp!!) I'm the Veggie, and we were searching for a place rather close. Searching the area, we found a quiet unassuming, in a quiet neighborhood strip mall, simple place. Read the reviews, Hmmm sounds interesting. When entering in an off hour, there were other people filling the tables, "it must be good! With others' here at this time" What I found; Huge portions of lunch time food at a very reasonable cost! The Egg Drop soup was EXCELLENT, The Shrimp, well my Aspen devoured after I had one, it was plump - tender and flavorful. The Veggies, this is MY YUM and PLENTIFUL!! Fried rice - not so fried rather a steamed rice with soy, the egg roll was crisp, smaller than others (seems to be the new fashion these days) filled with wonderful veggies. Did I mention the Egg Drop Soup was DELICIOUS!!!! Our Server required being won over- at first, need to win her over with some compliments, then she smiled and giggled. This was LUNCH menu and it is plentiful and reasonable cost! The place is very clean and ample seating. Meals come quickly, be prepared. No outside seating, and it's a chilly October day. Open 6 days weekly, from 11AM till 8 or 9PM Price, extremely reasonable!!! Convenient Parking in Front. And take out is available with phone in first, or order while eating some delicious food. Definitely recommended if your in the quaint neighborhood an hungry.

And upon picking up our order, we were happy to see everything was in there. We ordered crab cheese wontons, which were filled nicely and tasted great, Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Pork, and Orange Chicken with hot and sour soup I'm not very big on Chinese food in general, but this was one of the best Orange Chickens I've tasted! I've also never enjoyed Mongolian Pork, but this was the first time I really enjoyed it. Everyone in my family enjoyed the Kung Pao Chicken and the soup as well. The taste is great, the service is friendly, and they have definitely just won over some new regular customers
