This place is my new favorite Chinese Restaurant! The menu is extensive - I was happy to see they have Moo Shu dishes, I'll try one next time. It's not fancy, but it's clean with comfy booths, reasonable prices, good sized portions (I had to take some of my lunch home) & the food...fresh & fantastic. We arrived for lunch on a Tuesday & it was busy. Service was good & very attentive. Note, they are open 4PM- 9PM on Sundays, closed Mondays & open the remaining days from 11AM-9PM. I had the Walnut Shrimp lunch special for $12.95. This came with a choice of soup, I had the Hot & Sour Soup which was quite tasty, It also came with a choice of one egg roll or two crabmeat cheese wontons. I had the egg roll & it was good...nice & crispy. In addition, I chose fried rice, (or you could have steamed). The fried rice was yummy, some of the best I've had. The shrimp were wonderful, crispy battered, big & super flavorful, lots of walnuts, topped with a light sauce, that was sweet & creamy. What a great meal, I'm looking forward to my next Tea Garden visit. read more

4.5 stars. Tea Garden was a great choice for dinner the other night. We ordered takeout and they packaged the food really well, the food was still piping hot when we got home. The chicken and tofu dish weren't too salty and had a pretty good proportion of protein and veggies. The veggies were cooked well - soft but still had a crunch. The hot and sour soup had limited ingredients, it was mainly just broth and small bits of egg and bamboo. The flavor was great, I just wish it had more things in it. The fried rice was tasty! Good flavor and not too salty. I feel like other restaurants offer more food. We did have leftovers, but not as much as when we dine in other places. We'll likely go back the next time we have a Chinese food craving! read more

We revisited this place for a quick review of their lunch take out. I really wanted to try other entrees but this time I wanted to confirm if the sesame chicken was as good as the last time. At lunch you get egg roll or won tons plus fried or steamed rice. Soup and tea are not included. Still we wanted a quick lunch at home so take out was our choice. My spouse had cashew chicken. I can report that once again the food was great. The sesame chicken was perfecto! It was moist and very tasty with the egg roll and fried rice. The portion was enough for two meals though someone very hungry could eat it all in one seating. I made two meals out of it. Clearly the best sesame chicken I've had in Colorado. The cashew chicken was also quite tasty. This place has been there a long time and some have commented on that even saying it seems dated. However I found it charming inside and my food was ready on time so I was in and out after paying online through their website. Now I remain anxious to try other items. The pricing is reasonable and competitive. This place remains my favorite for Chinese food and well worth a visit by those who favor Chinese dishes. read more

We were having friends over for a "Murder Mystery" dinner and got carryout from Tea Garden. We ordered online and my husband popped over to pick it up. I was able to do the order earlier in the day and set a time window for pick up. This was helpful as we had other decorating to do. We ordered egg drop soup, egg rolls, crab rangoons, veggie lo mein, beef lo mein, beef and broccoli, chicken and vegetables, and sweet & sour chicken. I also added on some sides of the hot mustard, a must have. They packaged up everything so it stayed piping hot, even with the cold we have been experiencing. We got a whole container of the hot mustard as well as the plum sauce. Everyone enjoyed the food. We served in courses and kept everything hot on platters in the oven. At the end of the night we found out the chef did it. Mystery solved and great dinner! read more

Okay, so I can definitely say that I have become a regular here. And the reason why is because I always know what I'm going to get whenever I place and order or eat there. It's Perfection! The food is always hot and delicious. Everyone is extremely friendly and kind and I've yet to have something that I don't like. I normally dont venture out and try new things with the fear of it not being as good as what I normally get which is chicken lo mein ( which is delicious I have to say) so is there beef and broccoli, pineapple chicken, sesame chicken, orange chicken and so much more. They are definitely a spot to go to if you want delicious Asian food. You won't be disappointed. read more

We have been regulars for takeout at Tea Garden for years, but as of late their quality and overall customer service has dipped quite a bit. I understand that they are under new ownership as of the last few years so maybe there are some kinks being worked out, which is understandable. Ordered a takeout dinner online. It was ready when I arrived to pick up. Get home to discover the hot and sour soup, which had been ordered and included on the bill, was missing. Called and they said they would credit my bill. Then nothing. Sent two emails and have never received a reply. The food has always been excellent but the customer service could use improvement. My one and only experience leaves me conflicted. At first the name is super enticing, but it's not like a tea garden I would expect. Then the food seems overpriced until I realized the portions are like a typical Chinese restaurant and you get 1 order that 2 people could definitely share. My first visit was memorable!! I took 2 friends here for dinner. I ordered the shrimp with black bean sauce and steamed rice. My friends ordered the sesame chicken and the General Tsao chicken with fried rice. They were all generous portions and delicious!! Our meals arrived within minutes of ordering and were piping hot. This old school, neighborhood restaurant hasn't changed in over 25 years. It's fairly popular and is usually fairly busy. The decor will take you back to days you spent at Grandma's house but in a good way. The menu has plenty to offer and at reasonable prices. The portion sizes are are good. The food is pretty good, not gourmet but enjoyable. The service is what stands out here. The staff was very attentive, helpful, and friendly without being intrusive. read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant that I've ever been to in the world. We've been coming here since I was in middle school and hope to continue eating here for a long time. My friend from Brooklyn says it reminds her of the amazing Chinese food back home. Regardless, I love it. Some of the same people have worked here for a long time and it's always great to see them when we come in. It's a bit off the beaten path in Arvada but worth it for sure. We were able to be seated right away and ordered the family meal. It was so much food and we had enough for leftovers! The family meal comes with appetizers, soup, rice and an entree per person. The food was very good and I would definitely come back! Just an fyi the chow mein is not what you think of when you think of chow mein. Theirs has small crispy noodles.
