This place is really good but my current order which was orange beef was really bad and chewy. It was mostly batter dipped in orange sauce. When I bit into it there was no meat inside. Just batter disguised as meat. What a disappointment. read more

We've tried several Chinese/Asian places in the Arvada area and haven't be satisfied. Well, we did J's and like it very much! The food is quite good, portions are plentiful, restaurant is clean and neat and service is OK. We're going to try some of their curry dishes next time. My wife and have had so many poor experiences with the big chains (think waiting 40 minutes for a burger) and high-end spots (price are nuts and service is a crapshoot) we've decided to focus on the Mom and Pop restaurants for now. This falls in line with our current philosophy of laying low economically until the situation in this country clears up or changes. read more

Excellent Asian cuisine!! Had been wanting to try this place for a few months the now and finally did it! Let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! We did walk-in and ordered to go and probably waited about 15min. They were taking calls and helping others dine-in and were very attentive and super nice. The place is a bit small but big enough for a quick, delicious, fulfilling meal. We ordered the Sesame chicken (10/10), Generals Tso's (10/10), Mongolian Beef (10/10) and Chicken Lo Mein (10/10) everything we ordered was delicious!! It was fresh AF and the sesame chicken had the perfect crunch! They all came with a side of rice (white or fried). Food is good. But take it out. Dining in service is terrible. I think the owner's kids are working the tables. If not the owner's kids, they are certainly kids. They have no sense of serving customers. I've tried it three times with the same experience every time. Three strikes you're out, I doubt I'm going back. read more

Ive been eating here since 2012 and its the best tasting Asian food ever. We always overspend purposely and bring it home. We have it delivered or pick it up or sit down and eat, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious. Nothing is overdone and everything is moist and tasty! The inside has been remodeled and i love it. The staff is very friendly and they stay very busy, if it's empty inside trust me the online orders are going off! Every once in a while, I see a list of "Best Chinese in Westminster" on Nextdoor, and J's Cafe is on every list several times. My husband and I have been looking for a good new Chinese staple since moving from Aurora and finally decided to give J's a go. It was a hit! I always forget I don't like beef Szechuan, but that's on me. Their beef was very flavorful, but Szechuan has a tone of veggies, I like softer veggies, and veggies in Chinese food are always crunchy. My fault. Zach ordered General Tsao's and was very, very happy. They have great specials! We did a two entree dinner special for $21.99. It included both of our entrees, a side of fried rice, and our choice of one of a few appetizers (spring rolls, wontons, etc.) and soup with both entrees. That's not a deal, that's a steal! Delivery was quick, food was hot and delish, and they gave us THREE fortune cookies which is my favorite. I get a fortune, hubby gets a fortune, and then we have a shared fortune. read more

It was better than I expected to be. The place don't look just ok from outside but inside is clean with a simple/good decor. The local is inside a mall and have plenty parking. The server was attentive. The food came out very promptly. The orange tofu was delicious! Always had a good experience here. The typical Chinese food but massive portions! It's good quality too, doesn't feel cheap or taste like it was made all in one giant vat. Not overly salty or greasy either. The boba tea has a tendency to be icy compared to other places I frequent. Maybe a bit more flavoring and a scoop of less ice and it would be spot on. Delivery and takeout so I've never dined in. Some reviewers mentioned poor customer service on the dine in experience. I've called and been quoted a proper time for delivery or ten to fifteen minutes for pickup. No issues and my order has always been correct and prompt. Extra napkins. Forks and spoons. Accessories for soups. Soy sauce and fortune cookies wrapped nicely. Big fan of their vegetable fried rice. Spring rolls are nice too but the sweet and sour sauce has a bitter taste to me. Pork fried rice was okay, i was expecting to see the chopped cubed bright red/pink pieces but instead it looked like chicken or beef pieces of meat. Wonton soup was kind of plain...lettuce and 2 pieces of dumplings. The noodle bowl with shrimp was sad...hardly any toppings compared to your typical noodle bowl, the only plus side is that I got 12 huge pieces of shrimp with it. Other than that this was a disappointing meal. I ordered delivery, so I may try them again and order something else if I am in the area. My family and I have been coming to J's for years! They feed you very well and the prices are great, I have eaten at many establishments that serve Asian cuisine, but none come close to matching J's service or quality! The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff members are friendly! Keep up the amazing work! My recommendation is the General Tso 's Chicken, Beef Lo Mein, and Sesame Chicken. Giving this place four stars over three since it's much better than some of the other places near by. I have only done delivery or pick up so I can't comment on the restaurant for dine in. Calling ahead may be a bit of a pain. Sounds like they have two phones they answer and will put you on hold while you listen to them take the other callers order. Pick up is way faster than delivery! Especially on a weekend, we waited an hour for our food when we tried delivery. So keep that in mind. Food portions are good. The fried rice is excellent. I have gotten that every time. Pad Thai you can go without. Tofu dishes are decent. They also give plenty of fortune cookies which I can't complaint about. Oh and they have Boba Tea! This is our new choice for Chinese delivery. We do enjoy the food, but the customer service is terrifying. I didn't know you could experience trauma ordering sesame chicken. The woman who takes the orders makes the soup nazi seem pleasant. Here for lunch. The service started out ok, I am sitting here waiting and waiting to pay for my horrid food. I ordered off the lunch menu. When I took a bite of my egg roll, the contents came out in one horrid molded together bite. Not freshly made at all. The spicy pork was a pile of pork and veggies drowned in a cloyingly sweet sauce. Okay here's the pros: (1) staff is sweet and friendly (2) cheese wontons are good. Here's the negatives: so bummed by the taste of everything! We recently moved and aren't familiar with the restaurants in the area. We decided to give this place (delivery) a shot for our New Year's Eve dinner. We wish we had just gone to Panda Express because it would have been better. That's horrible, I know! We ordered a 4 entree family meal with wonton soup, fried rice and the following entrees: Mongolian beef, broccoli chicken, sweet and sour chicken and vegetable lo mein. All of the entrees were lacking flavor, blah, and left much to be desired. The vegetable lo mein had ZERO veggies (!?) and the fried rice only was rice without eggs or veggies (what the!?). The egg rolls were not edible and we love egg rolls; we just tossed them out. So sad. Wonton soup was just okay, edible but nothing we'd buy again. So here's the deal: The next time we're lonely and want to chat with nice people and maybe snack on some cheese wontons we will visit them...otherwise we're still searching for a great Chinese restaurant close to us! read more
