I'm new to the area and am looking for local coffee shops to work from now and again. I've already gone back to Sweet Bloom twice because it is just such a good work-away-from-home spot. Lots of comfortable seating with outlets. Plenty of people coming in and out with backpacks or laptop bags slung over their shoulders gives the place a chill coworking energy. On both of my visits the baristas have been warm and friendly. I do have to knock down a mark because so far the drinks I've gotten have been just okay. I started with a regular matcha latte which was pleasant but a bit gritty and unremarkable. The second time I tried the ube matcha but sadly the ube didn't really come through and it mostly tasted like the plain matcha I'd had previously. Seems like maybe the coffee drinks are the way to go so I'll have to keep exploring the menu to find my favorites. I will definitely be back here when I'm sick of staring at my laptop inside my apartment and want to stare at my laptop somewhere else instead. read more

We're visiting Denver and doing a little coffee shop hopping, and we're so glad we came across Sweet Bloom Coffee. The coffee here was absolutely delicious. If you're into third-wave coffee, this is definitely a spot you should check out. They have really great medium roast espressos, and it was fun to compare the different flavor profiles. I also got a latte that was lightly sweetened with vanilla, and it was so good. I honestly would have had two if I could, but I had to pace myself for the rest of our coffee stops. I had one of the most pleasant cafe experiences at Sweet Bloom. The bright space, friendly baristas, delicious latte and muffin, was a great start to my day. The blueberry muffin had a unique spice blend - I was able to taste cardamom (amongst other spices) - that really elevated the muffin beyond just a sweet bread. The latte was rich and tasty. I asked for the best latte art they could make and they delivered! The baristas were so nice about the request too. We were in Colorado for a business/vacation trip and wanted to end our trip with a good cup of coffee. SWEET BLOOM was perfect! The baristas went out of their way to find out what notes and types of coffee we were looking for and even offered samples to taste. My hubby enjoyed a brevé and I tried the Ginger Creamsicle, one of their current signature beverages. Loved the vibe of the coffee shop, tucked away in a neighborhood and then when you walk in - it's like stepping into a cozy coffee shop/coffee lab. Love that they offer classes and tastings too. I love spending a few hours working from coffeeshops so I don't get distracted by home tasks. Sweet Bloom has a few locations, and I fell in love with this one at first visit. It's super cute, open, and spacious. All the baristas are so nice. Lots of private booths and tables to work from. For my beverage, I got one of the specials (Garden Party) which was refreshing and delicious. I want to thank one of my earliest friends on Yelp, John V. of Denver for highlighting this coffee shop. It made such an impression on me as it is located in a created Downtown Westminster on land that was repurposed from the old Westminster Mall, a part of my personal career history . In Feb 1977, I was transferred by my Boulder employer to their new location, the first store built on the land that became the full Mall over the 6 months that followed. I left that company while the Mall was still vibrant. I also am familiar with Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters of Golden as I had tried it at an independent shop in Boulder, Beleza, a locally owned shop in North Boulder though not close enough to me to be my regular store. Decaf is hard to get properly roasted so it is not sour. The only two I can tolerate is Sweet Bloom and a national chain within walking distance of my home. As vision impaired, I cannot drive, so most days, walking is mandatory. The staff at Sweet Bloom was efficient, pleasant and very welcoming. The drinks were ready quickly, my Cortado was perfect, my husband enjoyed his short black. We both had the ham and Gruyère croissant, warmed and they were tasty. It was nice and indulgent to have real plates, glasses and flatware. They have a row of sleek mini booths for 2 against one wall. We chose more open seating by the bright glass walled, front area. Good light matters a lot to me. They have various coffee products to buy at retail. There is a nice parking lot across the street. If I lived nearby and could drive, I would go here occasionally as it is a bit more expensive than my normal place but also a classier spot for sure. It's a popular spot, so you gotta scout out your seating if you go during a rush hour. I really enjoyed the cold brew & appreciated that the menu doesn't offer too much variety. The vibe is cute well decorated. The smells are fabulous. We were greeted quickly by a nice young man. That's where it stopped however. The woman behind the counter apparently responsible for making drinks was too busy chatting and the wait for a latte was over 5 minutes. While taking care of guests and chatting is important knowing how to prioritize the job is important too. Sweet Bloom makes a great first impression! I'm exploring different coffee places around metro Denver and Sweet Bloom was next. I was impressed with the quality of the coffee, the friendliness of the team, and the modern industrial loft space. Highly recommend. I really appreciated the knowledge of the barista who asked me what I liked and she proceeded to take control - like an AI assistant, but you know real, and with just a few prompts I was served up a robust, smooth latte that went down way too quickly. The music is chill, there is the usual laptop brigade, and a great view of the Front Rage. If you're anywhere near this part of the Denver metro, I recommend stopping in for a cup of expertly crafted coffee. Located on the right side of Westminster Blvd., off Sheridan, just as you enter some new suburban, but trying to look urban, development where there once was a mall. We split a pot of tea and they gave us multiple refills of hot water so the tea could keep coming. It was delicious and such a good deal (about $5 for the pot that we refilled again and again). Just simply amazing. This particular location is great because you experience less downtown traffic getting here. The interior is spacious and aesthetic, and the vibes were immaculate. I was visiting from LA, and this coffee shop is on par with some of LA's best (Kumquat, Loquat, Dayglow, Mandarin Coffee Stand, etc). The beans itself were such a stand out - I tried a pour-over of their gesha offering - Mario Alarcon Guatemala. I also had a cappuccino with the single origin espresso, Don Teo Natural Nicaragua. I also tasted a cortado with their flagship espresso. All were simply amazing. I'd probably pass on the gesha next time- but the natural Nicaragua really impressed me. I would pay that dollar extra for the single origin espresso- it was worth it for me. The service was great. I thought the baristas also did an excellent job pulling the espresso- it didn't come out over or under extracted, and the milk wasn't burnt/the micro-foam was just prefect. The barista also recommended which beans would be great for espresso drinks and which beans to take home. I bought two bags to take home. Both are delicious, brewed using my v60. The migration 6.1 blend really surprised me. And the Don Teo Honey Process was also very delicious. All beans were balanced, flavors were not muddled when brewed - all with the perfect amount of acidity and fruitiness. Some of the tasting notes were missing, in my opinion - I got some caramel notes in the migration blend in addition to the ones mentioned. The Don Teo had blueberry notes - tasted like chocolate-covered açaí berries. Next time I visit, I'll check out their tasting room in Lakewood! read more

Love the coffee and tea here. It's always my go-to spot to sit down and get work done. I also enjoy that they serve loose leaf tea in a pot; a lot of other coffee shops just use tea bags and it's an inconvenience to repeatedly ask for cup refills. There's an abundance of seating, although it can get packed early afternoons because many of the residents of surrounding apartments are college students and they also frequent this place. Inside is contemporary and chic, and due to the number of windows, gets a ton of natural light pretty much the majority of the day. My only minor nit is that the music is typically on pretty loud but nothing that some noise canceling earbuds can't fix. But it's not the right ambiance for intimate conversation, if that's what you're looking for. read more

The coffee is great, the food items quite good. The ambience used to be better with regard to noise level. I don't live very close but have enjoyed going there to meet a friend for coffee. My last 2 visits were disappointing as the music was so loud it felt like everyone was yelling almost. Recently I went to knock out an hour to do some studying and it was impossible to concentrate with the noise level. What's happened to our culture that it seems everywhere we go nowadays there has to be loud in your face music? What happened to background music so friends can hear each other speak?
