We traveled to Arvada to visit our favorite German bakery. As we were walking back to the car we spotted this coffee shop and decided to chill for a bit. Although this place discourages Starbucks coffee drinking, I'm a fan and expect other baristas to at least match the quality of my beloved Starbucks before I call it a great coffee place. This is a great coffee place. We got a hazelnut latte and a white chocolate mocha. The barista offered us many flavor and dairy options. I was impressed by his skill and very impressed with his ability to make a great cup of coffee. This place also has a comfortable vibe and different seating options. You can sit in the main area or there's a room off the side with its own bathroom. This side room is good if you have a group who wants some privacy. Besides coffee the place has pastries and ice cream. There are board games, two guitars and a mandolin if you are inclined to play. In general it's just a comfy place to hang out while you enjoy a great cup of coffee. read more

Neat little coffee shop! I've gotten the iced coffee and americano here and they were tasty. Also got their coffee cake, warmed up and with butter on suggestion of the owner. Delicious, and I'll be doing that again. Plenty of seating for people if you want to sit, sip, and chat with friends. Really laid back vibe and in a great neighborhood. They have live music from time to time, open mics, gigs, and even open jams that are pretty welcoming. One of my favorite places in this corner of Arvada that really does have a number of great businesses and things to do. read more

I have passed by this little cafe a few times and always wanted to try it. Well, tonight was the night we finally walked in and gave their coffee a try. They also had a lot of assortments of cakes (coffee) and breads and other pastries. I ordered a classic vanilla latte and one of each coffee cake to go along with it. The lady behind the counter was more than friendly to tell me the story behind her mother's recipe for one and her addition to the other. As I was waiting, I realized there was music playing and the place was packed . We came on an open mic night, and nothings better than discoveing new talent and being the first in to hear them in some cases. We stayed to hear three people, and all were really great and all country music. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience, and the coffee and cake were fantastic. This place is a family owned coffee spot in old town Arvada. It's got a cozy vibe for a weekend morning coffee. We stop by here to grab iced or latte and bagel with cream cheese before watching a movie at the theater nearby. There is a little sauce and spice station, where I spread some cinnamon on top of my latte. There's nothing special to note about this place. This bakery is an absolute gem! Everything was huge, beautiful and absolutely delicious!!!! We shared the giant cream eclair, (which was DIVINE) cherry turnover, banana bread and one of the ginormous sugar cookies. When she totaled my order to $11.00 I was floored! 4 massive bakery items for $11? The fact that these delicious items were also a bargain prompted me to take a minute to give this spot a review. Went there around 2pm on Monday 4/14/25. Ordered a Hawaiian sandwich. The lady behind the counter asked me if there was cheese on the sandwich. Odd. I should be the one asking you that question. Is there not a menu behind the counter you could reference rather than ask the customer? Waited 20 minutes before finally asking if my sandwich (which was horrible) was ready. The employee got snippy with me and asked where I went. I stated I was in the bathroom. Then asked if I wanted a plate after stating three times I would like it to go. We made eye contact multiple times after the sandwich was ready but she ignored me and continued to help a line of people. Awful experience due to this employee. I was on the hunt for an open coffee shop that had space for me to wrap my cookies in old town Arvada and came across this hidden gem. It was everything I had been looking for and more. It's nestled in old town Arvada and gives a small town, homey, mom 'n pop vibe. I'm not sure on the history of the shop but it seems family owned as they had this cute little girl helping with transactions. It's definitely not a in-a-rush type of place. They have conversations with their customers, seem to really have that neighborly, polite to everyone attitude that was refreshing and much appreciated. As for the menu, they have quite a selection of coffees, teas, and non-coffee drinks and are very much customizable. They also offer food and their pecan sticky buns are fantastic. They offer the option of warming their pastries up AND adding a dollop of butter on the top which I could not say no to. For the price of the sticky bun, the tea, and the overall experience I would definitely come back. They had the perfect amount of space for me to comfortably do my cookies, they have reliable WiFi and the overall atmosphere was one I would experience again. Oh! I also had ended up needing my items to go as I couldn't finish them and not only did the little girl help me box my cookies but the dad offered to reheat my drink/top it off for me! Fun local gem in Old Town Arvada! I've lived here seven years but only recently stopped in for a hot chai tea. You have a few coffee options in old Town but this is the quietest I feel for working or just a few minutes of solitude. They get busy here for sure but it's just a quieter environment which really sets it apart from other spots in the area that offer coffee and pastries. That being said, coffee, tea, Italian sodas, pastries, sandwiches, ice cream, the list goes on. Plenty of indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. Old town has various promenade seating options too so feel free to grab and go as too shop and stroll. A couple of drop down steps as you walk to the register so that's something to watch out for. Enjoyed the vibe of this business. Kind of reminded me of coffee shops in my college town and all the time I spent studying or reading/listening to music. Service was quick even for a Sunday with a line and only two employees behind the counter. Four milk alternative options. That's generally a given these days but having soy, almond, coconut, and oat was appreciated. Some spots just do soy OR almond but not both. The prices felt a tad higher than usual but everything seems to cost more these days. The love and quality was certainly on display and I'll support a business like this any day over a chain coffee spot. Going to have to return for a sandwich or cinnamon roll in future. Wow! My fiancé grabbed this to go for me and from what he told me/from what I've tasted, this place is great! The quality of my latte was so good! My fiancé said that they make their own caramel syrup and I've never had it with Irish cream before which made it even tastier. Wow did this place ever exceed expectations! I sort of stumbled upon it after a visit to the Arvada Library yesterday and am so glad that I did. The shop it so is so warm, comfortable, and inviting to sit and enjoy for awhile. It has a charming homey feel- they literally gave the same chairs at one of their tables that my grandma used to have in her kitchen. They even have an alcove with toys- a huge hit with my son! He and I shared a cup of tea and a slice of their almond coffee cake. I honestly expected it to be dry but it ended up being delicious- moist and buttery- jam packed with almond slices and brown sugar. I've pretty much been thinking about how good it was since swallowing my last bite! Without a doubt I will be making La Dolce Vita a regular part of our routine- my son did not want to leave- at 21 months he has a pretty limited vocabulary but kept referring to it as "fun", "good", and "back". I think it's a family that runs it and they were super nice and the daughter was helping out which was adorable because she's little. Anyways, easy to find parking and the inside isn't Starbucks but it's nice and I prefer to support small businesses over chains any day. This biz page has been sitting in my drafts since I was last in Arvada in June. So apologies on the delayed post, but I had to return to it and share the love to La Dolce Vita. We got off the plane after a very early flight and once we arrived to the city, we were on the hunt for a much needed caffeine fix. At the time, Colorado was much more progressive (than Milwaukee) on new safety precautions and mandates, and I remember being very impressed and appreciative of that when entering this little coffee shop. We were greeted by (who we assume to be) the owner. She was so very friendly - the kind of hospitality I appreciate so much! Genuinely curious and interested about our morning, we chatted as she whipped up our iced lattes. She filled us in on how her business has been fairing during this trying year, and seemed positive and resilient to keeping her local cafe alive. Yes, their coffee was delish and certainly hit the spot, but it's wonderful conversations with business owners and employees that stick in my memory most. Small local spots need the community's love and support more than ever and I thoroughly enjoy contributing. Thanks La Dolce Vita, we'll be back when we are next in town. read more

Oh, their cheddar they put in their vegetable quiche is a perfect breakfast. It's in an arts and cultural district so it's pretty safe out here, and, while they serve coffee, they also have some smoothies that you can buy for the same price. The variety of the food menu is convenient, but the Italian sodas are considerably pricey. Still, if you can't find a kiwi soda for several miles, it suppose it's reasonable to get it here? One of the coolest coffee spots I've ran into in Denver. Service was excellent. I got the lavender latte (in season) and sat down to sip it while some girl played the violin. Surprisingly good coffee! The staff look to be having a good time enjoying their jobs which made the mood better, considering how empty their space was due to state/city rules at the time. I ordered a cafe latte with soy and it was great. I also love that they have the smallest 8oz size. all the punch of caffeine without having to drink so much quantity. Overall good experience, they have a large menu of sweet and savory/quick bites but i didn't try any. read more

If you're in Old Town Arvada swing on into this great little spot. Josh, Debbie and the crew are guaranteed to make your experience a great one! To this point I just watched Josh go out of his way to open the side door for an elderly gentleman so he didn't have to walk all the way around in the cold, snow and ice! That's service man! Even beyond the service the cappuccino is amazing with the perfect foam and smooth flavor. How do I know it's perfect? Because Josh asks how much foam you like and crafts your drink to your preference every time. Amazing! He also has over a decade of experience so it's no surprise he's honed his craft. Love this place. It's on the way to our pediatrician, and after having our baby, we were in zombie land with no energy to cook. Not only did I get much needed delicious coffee, but their quiches were so good we came back a bought whole ones to freeze. Their delicious club sandwiches and desserts kept us going for lunch too. To be honest, the fact that it is NOT a chain gives it one star before I even walk in the door. We were out and about in Old Town Arvada on Saturday and wanted to get out of the chilly wind for a little bit so we stopped in here. There were a couple of gentlemen enjoying coffee and conversation and a mom with two young kids finishing a bit to eat when we arrived. The place is a bit hodge-podgey, with non matching tables and chairs but that gives it some of its charm. The menu board is large and they serve every kind of coffee, cider, Italian soda and tea combination. They offer salads, soups, ice cream, cookies, pastries, you name it! The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and even suggested something not on the menu. The Avogato.. My two friends went with that, and I tried some homemade ice cream, not being a coffee fan. Almost forgot to mention, the pizelles, we were told are made by a 93 year old Italian woman...
