Love those! they come with a sweet sauce for dipping. I chose to have the Drunken Noodles with chicken. There was ample chicken in my dish which was tender and well sauced. The sauce had a lovely kick and it was complimented by the crunch of the green onions. My friend enjoyed her meal as well, choosing a noodle bowl with chicken. Solid pho restaurant! We stopped by for a later lunch around 2pm on a Saturday. It was very weird because we were literally the only customers in the parking lot and restaurant. I almost turned around because I thought this couldn't be a good sign. I'm glad I didn't because my husband and I had a great lunch here. The menu is expansive but I went with my go to: shrimp spring rolls and meatball pho. My husband got the brisket and steak pho. I appreciated that there were regular and large size bowls. The shrimp spring roll was good except one section had a bug in it. It happens, I just didn't eat that piece. The pho broth was deep and rich, tasted like it had been simmering for a long time. Place is decent! The food is pretty good depending on what you order. We got some pho, edamame, egg rolls and wontons. The edamame in my opinion is super overpriced and bland. They just add salt to it. The convenience is fine but it's so easy to make at home and it's priced pretty high too so I don't think it's worth it Egg rolls were okay! This is the BEST wonton soup I've ever had in my life! I love the pho too. Ordered the wonton soup to hit a minimum and now I order just for the wonton soup. The broth is so flavorful and the wontons are savory and delicious. I've never had anything bad here. Pho Dong Huong was my go to pho place for a while, but my last few visits haven't hit the mark. Still an acceptable pho - scratches the itch. The good is they give a generous amount of meat and do a great job packaging the pho and toppings to go. They also have friendly, attentive service. The broth has been a little flat the last few times. I usually don't add any hoisin or sriracha because good pho broth doesn't need it, but I've been adding the sauces to my broth the last few times to give it more flavor. The noodles have been overcooked a few times too, would fall apart when trying to pick up with chopsticks. I haven't tried any of their other dishes, so I can't write off the whole restaurant as only ok. It's definitely possible they're specialty is another dish! read more

This place is a nice little gem in Arvada. Today I placed an order for two of their lunch specials. I ordered the sesame chicken and the other was cashew chicken. Each of these came with rice, egg roll and your choice of soup! We had the won ton soup and it was quite good. There were some veggies in the soup but also 4 big won tons in the broth. They threw in some crispy noodles and I added that to the soup. Delicious! Both meals were tasty. The sesame chicken was cooked just right and the cashew chicken was also quite decent. I took photos of the two meals and considering they were lunch portions they were sizable. Inside the restaurant looked great. It's clearly a very nice place for inside dining. I took photos of the inside which is spacious, clean and has a nice vibe. Overall this checks off all my marks for a great place to eat. They also have Vietnamese food so check out their menu for all they offer. Lastly the food was ready for pickup so I was in and out. Looking for a place in Arvada that serves pho is one thing, but finding one that serves quality pho is another. Unfortunately, Pho Dong Huong is only the former; it's merely a place in Arvada that serves pho. The broth here is cloudy, which isn't always a bad thing, but it generally means that premade seasoning powder is used. Sure enough, it tastes overwhelmingly of premade seasoning powder and sugar. Every time I've ordered from here it's had this same taste; plus marks for being consistent, I suppose. To be fair, I've only ordered the pho, mostly because that's what I look for in a pho restaurant, especially when it's in the restaurant name. Due to that, I'll give two stars for quality service, a comfortable atmosphere, and probably good food that I haven't tried yet. But if you're just looking for pho, then my recommendation is to look elsewhere. read more

The "women" who walked the 30 or so feet to get my order uttered a couple words and virtually made no eye contact or a service person smile that I've even given their restaurant some business. This was our first time here. My first impression was the place felt a little dingy. Bathroom was grimy and the door to the supply closet was open which was not appealing to the eye. There was also food on a plate on the floor by the Buddha statue. I'm assuming it was for religious purposes which is cool but my immediate thought was that was going to attract bugs. Maybe put it all up on a table? Needless to say turn facility could definitely use a facelift. We got cheese wontons for appetizer and they were super yummy and fresh. The pho was also very good. That side of the street is renovating their driveway and parking lot so it looked closed but it's not - don't let that detour you! I had the combination vermicelli bowl (beef and chicken), my family got Pho Tai (rare beef) and the Pho 5 (beef and brisket), my nephew got the orange chicken, and we ordered spring rolls and the fried dumplings - all were amazing!!!!
