I visited this coffee shop last week and noticed many reusable glasses, but I was told they weren't ready and that I could be served in one starting Monday. Today is Tuesday, and despite seeing at least 20 glasses on the shelf and on top of its espresso machine, I was again told that coffee is only served in paper cups. I have been following them on social media for quite some time. I've ordered their good multiple times too and they were always a hit. We were excited that they were opening up a brick and mortar store in the 626 so we had to come check them out. Space is nice, modern and clean. It felt a bit cramped but thats just because it was popping. Service was friendly. We got the banana bread which was the only thing available and it was excellent. My toddler pretty much killed it. There are many contributing factors to give this business 5 stars, but the biggest reason is consistency in quality of their products. I was a bit lost during my 1st visit as I was intrigued with quite a few of their signature drinks. The staff was very accommodating and friendly in order to help me decide what drinks to lean towards, and how I could modify my drinks. Staff hospitality has also been consistently solid where everyone I have encountered have been friendly, asks questions, and overall interested to help you have the best experience there. Cafe itself has always been clean and open--the complimentary wifi is always a plus too. For drinks, I have always had the earl gray latte and am always so happy (I wish there was a juicier word to describe my reaction but it really is simple pure happiness). Had been waiting for another coffee shop to open in Alhambra and I kept seeing videos about this place which is close to my house. Went to sprouts and decided to stop by and try the hype! I ordered a basic matcha latte since it had good reviews but I was not impressed. I worked at a juice bars years ago and we would always disclose if the drinks were sweetened or not. The strawberry match latte was not sweet at all, not sure if the recipe doesn't come with it but if the cashier would have told me or asked me if I wanted it sweetened I would have asked for it with some sweetener. For $9 after tip I was slightly disappointed. I came home and blended the drink with some honey to not have the drink go to waste. My new favorite this month named Re Bakesic! I was looking for new space to study and this name came up to my feed. Free wifi, plenty of parking and seats, chill music, amazing matcha. I initially come because of the mochi pastries but they all sold out by 2:30pm so listen to others and come early!!! I got the matcha thai latte, which is such a unique combination and it turns out so so good. Matcha is floral, umami and not too earthy goes perfectly with the lightly sweet creamy thai tea. first time at re: bakesic and i really appreciate how easy the parking was. that's always an added bonus when looking for coffee shops. i came here to get some work done from 12pm-4pm and it is honestly a great study spot. i ordered the ice americano with cold foam and it was very light and delicious. i couldn't really taste the cold foam but the espresso was enjoyable. i need to try their specialty drinks next. i also got their pineapple bun cookie and it was okay. i probably wouldn't get it again since it was a bit expensive and didn't taste unique. overall, the ambiance and service was great...how the food and drinks were subpar. i would come again just to study though since the environment is spacious and comfy. read more

Cute cafe with delicious and healthy tasting treats. I ordered the three scones that were available and a slice of the black sesame banana bread. Here are my thoughts on each pastry. For context: My flavor palette prefers mildly sweet, not buttery/oily, not too rich in flavor and not too dry. Pretty much a healthier tasting dessert that doesn't taste like cardboard. - Hojicha Pistachio scone - Delicious and rich hojicha taste with a sweet, crispy pistachio crunch topping up top. This was hands down a surprise hit as I never thought the earthy hojicha taste would blend so well with pistachio. It was a mild but sweet treat. 5/5 rating - Matcha Red Bean Mochi scone - Good rich matcha taste, slightly bitter which is great since it's matcha with red bean paste on top. There is a bit of mochi inside the scone which balances the doughy texture of the scone. It was a sweetly bitter treat. 4/5 rating - Osmanthus Oolong Mochi scone - It was pretty dry and tasteless. Tried to enjoy it with some tea, but somehow the Oolong tea isn't fragrant enough to be enjoyed as a scone. The osmanthus taste was also very light. Mochi in the center did balance out the doughy texture of the scone just like the matcha red bean scone. However, this was the most bland one of the three. 2/5 rating - Black sesame banana bread - Moist, not too sweet, and great taste of banana with a hint of black sesame. This was so delicious that it was eaten up quickly. You can taste the freshness in the slice, I was lucky to snatch up the last piece. 5/5 rating - Hot Matcha Latte, subbed for Almond milk - It was good without any sweetness adjustments. Can taste the slight bitterness in the matcha which paired well with the sweetened almond milk. This is my go-to drink at most other cafes. There isn't anything spectacular about it at Re Bakesic, but it's freshly made and hand-whisked. Enjoyable drink overall. 4/5 rating As many have mentioned, their baked goods is very limited in quantity. I came here around 9:30AM on a Saturday and the banana bread was down to the last slice. Thankfully was able to snatch up some scones, but their muffin and most cookies were already sold out. I do hope they increase their baked goods quantity more to support customers coming in through at least noon time. Otherwise, just the drinks alone will be difficult to upkeep such a cute cafe. Finally decided to try out this place after seeing it on social media. We got the hojicha scone, black sesame earl grey cookie, gone nuts drink and on cloud nine drink. Both drinks were so good and well balanced but I would say the best part was actually the cookie. It was so flavorful with a strong earl grey flavor. When you bite into it it's so soft and you can taste the earl grey and then the black sesame flavor comes out afterwards. Very well balanced cookie. Sea salt flakes on top add a nice touch. Came here with a friend and it's safe to say that this might just be our new go-to in Alhambra! Located near Main Street, this cafe is a cozy and welcoming space. Staff is wonderful and gives great recommendations. The strawberry matcha was a very delicious drink. Usually the strawberry is overpowering at other cafes I've tried, but this was subtle to my surprise making the drink enjoyable. The apple matcha tonic was definitely something we found interesting and never heard of. My friend and I aren't the biggest fans, and that's probably because we're more of a milk latte type of person. Definitely give it a try, we like the concept but just not the taste. We saw Kristi's tiktok and wanted to check out this place and try those mochi scones. We arrived around 12:30 on Saturday afternoon. To our disappointment, there was nothing left in the pastry section so we just ordered drinks. I got the lychee oolong nojito and my bf got an iced americano. The drinks were both average at best. The americano was super watered down and my lychee drink is like one of those bottled lychee teas you can get at the market for $1... there was nothing mojito about it except for the mint leaves that were floating around.... The drinks took awhile to make too. On a positive note, I really like the aesthetics inside. The reason for the low rating is the drinks. While watching our order being made the cups were filled almost fully with ice. For the price point the drinks are at I expect there to be a reasonable ratio of drink to liquid. I ordered a matcha latte and the strawberry cream hojicha. The Hojicha was alright. It didn't have as strong of a hojicha flavor that I would have liked but the cream top and sweetness were on point. I have found one of my new go to spots for baked goods, drinks, and a large table to work at! I've been here a few times in the past few weeks since they've opened. I have loved every interaction I've had with staff each time I have gone. My number one fav drink to get here is the strawberry cream hojicha so definitely give it a try. I got their banana pudding matcha and i think the black sesame mochi scone. The banana pudding matcha was nothing memorable and I wish I got one of their other drinks to try.
