Really good pasta dishes. $3 glasses & $12 bottles of house wine

Whenever we go to this area, my family almost always want to eat here. Their pasta, pizza and baked desserts are great. If you don't see a pizza or pasta you like on the menu, you can customize it. Their garlic bread they serve before your meal is always hot, fresh from the oven. The staff are kind too. I'm rating it a little less because they only have two types of salad to choose from, their gelato is not that good and of course, the prices. In the end, Pomodoros is still one of the best Italian places in Clear Lake. read more

Great Place! Food is fresh and well done. It is very clean and the staff is always nice and professional. I've made special requests and it's never a problem. The food comes quick and is always hot. Personally, I like the The red sauce and it's one of the best around. If there is a downside it's the ambiance. It's nothing fancy but it's clean and there are a few TVs. Families with kids are common. There are couple of " well known" Italian places in the area but this is actually better food, better service and at a more reasonable cost. My girlfriend and I both came here after reading all the positive reviews. We both ordered spaghetti and the bill ended up being close to $40. I did not think the spaghetti was great at all. I've had frozen spaghetti taste better. Very disappointed. read more

Quite tasty! Caesar salad was crisp and croutons tasted homemade. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan paired with an ample serving of spaghetti. Kids 10" Pizza was impressive. Overall I enjoyed everything i ordered. Customer service was okay. Order did take long to get to our table and eggplant parmigiana could have been a little hotter (temperature). read more

Since Ray changed the name from Pomodoro's the "Ray's restaurant food has somehow gotten even better than it used to be, but it's always been good!! We had a family dinner at Pomodoro's last weekend and all five of us were impressed by the food. The fried mozzarella was excellent. I really enjoy the chicken parmesan here. It's a hearty portion and made from scratch. The cannelloni Danielle is also a very good dish. For dessert I recommend the cannoli's. You can't go wrong by coming and checking this place out. read more

Ordered a delivery order during peak hours on a Friday, they quoted 45 mins to an Hour and still delivered in less than 30 mins. Portions were huge and food was piping hot. Everything tasted better than expected and Pomodoro's is now on my stay at home rotation. read more

Being the bargain shopper and foodie that I am, I had a coupon for this place; buy an entree get one free up to $11. I was winning before I even walked into to tgis joint! The restaurant sits on the corner of a small shopping strip next to a Walgreens. It has that pizza parlor feel. I wasn't too impressed upon entering. My first thought was oh no there is smoking in here, but no there was no smoking....very poor ventilation. The kitchen is in dire need of a new hood system. It was a Friday and very busy. Good sign. Still skeptical. Orders are taken at the counter and you are given a # to place on your table. No problems using my coupon! I ordered shrimp fettuccine alfredo and the hubs ordered a small pie half alfredo half supreme. We hunted for a table in the tight space. Tables were unoccupied but no one seemed to be no busser in sight. Eventually a table was cleared and we took our seats. It to forever for my salad to come. I guess you are wondering why the four stars with all of the complaints. Hold up nah it's coming. The salad was absolutely superb! Fresh, crisp, scrumptious!! Then the main course rolls around. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly. Shrimp were HUGE with a great sweetness to them (wipes drool from the corners of my mouth) and the sauce. Seasoned well and oh so garlicy and creamy. The pizza was the bomb.com. Crust was perfect. Sauce had the right amount of tang and flavor. Same alfredo on the pie as the fettucinne...great! This place will definitely be in rotation with my regular spots in the area. I will just do the patio are or takeout until the do something about the ventilation in there! read more

Sunday afternoon we had pretty much decided that we were going to spend the rest of the day at home being bums, watching tv, getting mad at the Next Food Network Star (Aaron? Seriously?), with a two bottles of wine and three pints of Häagen-Dazs. Well, since Rebecca and her husband swear by the pizza at Pomodoro's, I just had to try this Greek Pizza she has been raving about for the past couple of months. It took a little sweet talking, but we talked the hubby into going to pick up dinner. He came back with two medium pizzas. One pepperoni, one greek. I might have tried a bite or two of the pepperoni later that evening (I like my pepperoni pizza cold, with a dr. pepper)... but I didn't get the chance. He inhaled every last bite. I had two slices of the Greek Pizza. Feta Cheese, Tomatoes, Olive Oil and Kalamata Olives. Um, YUM! So freaking good. I will be honest. You need to like salt... because the combination of the olives and feta add up to one salty bite of wonderfulness. Just, next time I am in town... I'm taking a slice of the pepperoni from the very beginning so that I get a bite. read more

We're big fans of this local spot for a number of reasons. Their menu is diverse and imaginative, everything I've tried has been very good. Always give the daily special a hard look, it's usually something new and unique and I've never been disappointed. The dining room is very nondescript with simple tables that can be rearranged for large groups. They handle large groups well, my last special occasion I called ahead and they noted another group of 20 about 30 mins ahead of us but they'd figure out how to make it work. Even on a Saturday night with a limited-size dining room, they had an area set aside and both groups were served with other walk ups having no wait. This is a place you order at the counter which I like because it expedites the process. Don't get me wrong, I like seated meals, too, but for groups, this makes it much easier to order and pay separately without worrying about a server mixing things up or messing up the bill. My friends who are pizza connoisseurs order take out pizza from here, better than the box stores for similar prices. In the end, I'd rather come here and have a unique dish served efficiently and tasty than an Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill and suffer the wait and ordinary food. Prices are good, too. read more

Not a lot of atmosphere, but Pomodoro's is clean and the staff is both pleasant and efficient. Except for bland chicken parmagiana, the food is very good: pizza, calzone, specialty salads, and....(*sound of me collapsing into a near-swoon*)...GELATO! The parking lot gets a bit crowded at times, and at peak traffic, getting in and out of the lot can be a pain....but worth it!! read more

I placed a to go order and I was very disappointed. It was obvious, by the sauce and ingredients that were slopped in one side of the dish of pasta, that it was frozen and microwaved. I never have had pasta carbonara with peas in it, and the pasta was mush. It was gross. Very bland and meh. I knew I made a mistake when I saw the ceiling in their dining room. It's all moldy, water stained and dripping on to the bare linoleum floor. Which looked disgustingly dirty. I gave 2 stars because they were nice but the food gets zero stars!! read more

Eggplant parmesan sub was amazing - although I'm not certain all the veggies I requested were in it (and there was a piece of pepperoni?), it was still really good. please indicate to customers ordering to-go salads that you dress the salad before bagging it. Had I known this, I would have requested the dressing on the side when ordering. My mistake for thinking that was an industry standard. Took a little longer to prepare than I anticipated, but worth the wait. Overall, though the food was very delicious and fresh. Definitely recommended! read more

They deliver!!!! Sorry, but in this area, that's huge. A decent restaurant that comes to you? I love Pomodoro's mostly for that! The food is good though. Their pizzas are definitely better than regular delivery and most other italian spots in Clear Lake, plus with yummy toppings! The red clam linguine is the best here though, by far. It's spicy, wholesome, delicious...a must for me! Their gelato isn't great, and most everything else I've ever tried isn't that good; but the above items are winners. Pomodoros is one of our go to spots for pizza! We love their thin crust veggie pizza and Greek pizza but I agree with one of the reviewers regarding the amount of cheese sometimes it is an issue. Especially when it's feta cheese! But recently I ventured out and got the soup du jour and I must say WOW. Their Italian Wedding Soup with Chicken Meat Balls! I could eat this every day! A great place to get good pizza. The pizza is better than most delivery and comes in large sizes. The beer selection is small, but the occasional rare offerings make it worth it. The wine selection is small, but very affordable. I am not sure what gelato is and have never tried theirs. read more

Upon leaving my last review I was contacted to reconsider trying them again and I received a credit for the meal. Ordered 1 meatball sub, 1 mozzarella planks, 1 BYO calzone with jalapeño pepperoni and garlic and 1 meatball calzone. Spoke with Nick when I ordered and he was extremely nice. Delivery was 40 minutes as told. Unfortunately the planks were cold and rubbery. Once again there was way way too much Ricotta on the calzone and we didn't order it with extra. The overall flavor was passable but nothing remarkable. The sub was edible. While the sauce was flavorful the meatballs lacked crunch or flavor like they were cooked in the sauce without being seared first. The bread was too chewy as well. Overall I am grateful for a free meal but we won't be patronizing the establishment again. read more

Pomodoro's is a decent Italian stop. They are located off Nasa 1 and they have typical Italian fare; pastas, pizza, casseroles and such. I've been here a few times and have enjoyed the dishes. The chicken pesto pasta is pretty tasty and the garlic bread that comes with it is so good. For me though the best part about Pomodoro's is the salads. Any of the salads I've had have been huge, with fresh veggies, and great dressings. Last night I had the Gorgonzola salad with green apples and a lemon vinaigrette dressing to balance the strong cheese. It's not on the menu but for a few extra bucks you can add grilled chicken to make it a full entree. read more

We live so close that we could walk here and that's dangerous! Everything here is great. I was introduced to Pomodoros when my old employer ordered lunch from here and I was hooked. Their pasta is perfect and my absolute favorite is the pesto cream sauce.. If you haven't had it yet you are missing out! All their pasta dishes come with garlic bread and a side salad. We also can't get enough of their "Sweet Pig" pizza... Another thing to try if you haven't had it yet! We almost always order it to pick up and take home and I've never had to wait and the service is always great. I'm from Jersey and can honestly say that they have the "closest to home" pizza I've had! My favorite pizza topping here is definitely the meatballs. If you're feeling extra hungry get the fried ravioli appetizer too. The only reason I have rated this is less than five stars is the price. It's a little more expensive than some other local places but the quality of their food and service is worth the extra $$$ read more

We have not been to the restaurant in a year but was so looking forward to it. The service was great! However food was as if it was pre cooked and reheated. And after being at the restaurant for an hour we saw the owners and their granddaughter running around the place I'm guessing that's why the food was not intended to but the worst part was the owners daughter and her friend showing up two tables over being very very loud someone needs to tell the owners daughter she may enjoy the sound of her voice no one else does. Please remind the owners the restaurant business is about the ambience in a little bit about the food which they got that right very little we will not go back again will go to Olive Garden and get the same results read more

Walked in at abut 11:10 am and was instantly greeted, great start. Ordered the creamy chicken pesto with caesar salad, no drink - $11.90 total. I sat and waited, not too much of a wait, so no complaints there. When I got it back to my desk and took the first bite, which was just pasta and sauce, I thought, dam$, this is good... but then I took a bite with the chicken - no bueno. The chicken was dry and either very overcooked, or thawed from frozen, or old, or all three, not sure; but whatever the reason, it completely took away from the dish. I would have rather not had any protein in the dish at all than the chicken I got. The caesar salad was standard - the dressing was way above average, very tasty! And I enjoyed the garlic bread too - tasted like there was real garlic smeared on the bread, not just butter and garlic salt. I will come back and either order a pizza (without chicken) or a different pasta (also without chicken). read more

I'm so damn sorry to write this. I hate people who write reviews like this but it had to be done. The night before I had a microwave pasta meal from CVS across the street so I was pretty excited to try this placed based on the reviews. I wish I had another one instead of having gone to this place. It was so bad! I had to ask someone to clean the table which had been bussed but not wiped down and still had food smears all over it. I ordered the cheese ravioli with Caesar salad and a mystery (house?) Cabernet. The wine made my lips go numb. In some circumstances, I'd be down to get blitzed, but I'm just trying to have dinner and this tastes mildly what I imagine battery acid tastes like but with a little kick. I'm visiting from California so maybe I'm spoiled with the wine. The Caesar salad was more like Caesar soup. Why would you drown a salad? It wasn't that it tasted "bad" it just wasn't right. The ravioli was awful. The sauce was metallic tasting. What can did this come out of? But worse was the ravioli filling. Whatever that "cheese" was, it wasn't fit for consumption. All of these terrible tastes were moot though because these EPIC flies continuously landed and on my food, took off, buzzed around the place, came back, landed on my food. I ate the tiny garlic breads. On the plus side, everyone I interacted with who worked there was amazingly helpful and nice. read more

Amazing food ! The shrimp fettuccine is my favorite. The shrimp are huge and has the perfect creamy fettuccine sauce. I've taken a few friends and they have stated, they have never had fettuccine this good before. I have it delivered most of the time and it always arrives quickly .
