In a world of expensive artisan craft things where you get charged a lot of money for something plain and ordinary, it's refreshing to see plain, ordinary, CHEAP AND GOOD! I've been here twice and both experiences have been more than my expectations. I've stopped by for a coffee and one donut, it came out to $2.11! The owner threw in a few extra munchkins which I was surprised to see since it stuck to my donut, I thought it was a deformed donut but to my surprise, they were munchkins. When I went in early today I couldn't understand the person behind the counter when I asked her for a description of the twisty thing in the case! So I left and looked it up on the Yelp app! It said it was a strawberry twist! Now I love anything strawberry but when I bit into this there was nothing in it that tastes like strawberries! Now don't get me wrong, it was very good, light, sweet and tasty. But it tasted nothing like strawberries! The donuts are great! My only complaint (which is concerning) the Boston crème donuts legit tasted like nail glue or some acrylic! I can't make this up. The dough had a strong chemical taste of some type of nail solution but the crème itself was just fine. Had to spit it out. Thank God my 2 yr old didn't eat it before I tasted them. I love donuts but most donuts sold here are too damn sweet or too cakey for me to like. I love light airy donuts minus the boatload of sugar. My husband stumbled upon this donut place near us and decided we try some. So he went in and came back out with half a dozen. They were so good! They were light & airy and not too sweet. And most of all, they were very very affordable!!! This little stand-alone building is along the busy candler road south of Memorial Drive. You have to keep your eyes peeled cos you might miss it if you blow pass the traffic junction. Go in and stock up, they close @ 6pm. read more

Just tried this place out--pretty so so. We had the ham, bacon, egg and cheese croissant. It was fairly tasty, but the combination of the bacon and ham seemed to be a bit much. The ingredients seemed to be of marginal quality. Not the best breakfast sandwich I ever had. We also had some of the donuts: the blueberry cake, the crumb, and the coconut cream. The blueberry was by far the best. The flavor was nice, not too sweet, and it had a pretty moist consistency. The other donuts were a tad below mediocre. All in all we weren't too impressed. Recommendations: invest in higher quality ingredients. It's a financial sacrifice, but in the long run, you will create more of a demand for your product, and not just on the basis of convenience. read more

The donuts are very fresh and delicious. I've really like the breakfast croissants. They are cooked well, crispy and flaky.

Went at 10:30 on a Monday morning and not much left to choose from but what I did get was VERY GOOD. I went here because Revolution was closed. The yeast doughnuts are nice and fluffy and not super sweet, which is a nice change. The Bear Claw had a small lovely apple filling that I think may be made in house. It didn't have that "canned" taste and was finely chopped with no extra sweetener to offset the glaze. They also threw in some free doughnut holes. My wife loved the chocolate, had a great flavor and again this must be made daily Will definitely be a return customer. read more

First off, I went out of my way because I was hoping to support a Black owned business. My mistake for assuming, as it was not. No problem. We ordered breakfast sandwiches, and they werent the best or even average. The donuts tasted good, but not the freshest. It was around 12p when we stopped in, so maybe they sat for a while. There was def some issues in communication and service was very, very slow. I had to remind the two women at the counter of our order several times, but they seemed nice. All in all, I wont be rushing back, but if I lived close by, I would stop in from time to time. read more

The doughnuts were good; if you enjoy really sweet foods. There were varying flavors of doughnuts here: cereal topped, peppermint, etc. I thought I had a sweet tooth until I went here. I enjoyed my doughnuts, but they were super sweet. My teeth actually began to hurt a little. The price was good for a half dozen, I paid less than $6, and they had signs up for promotions to get a free doughnut when you purchased. The staff was really friendly. There is a lot of parking and this location is really close to a major highway. It's in walking distance to a lot of neighborhoods and near a lot of other businesses. I wouldn't go back here for doughnuts simply because they were too sweet for me. If not for that, then I would definitely patronize because I enjoy supporting small businesses. Update; I stopped by here yesterday because my niece insisted that we stopped here for donuts(as stated in my pervious review, I said I wasn't ever coming back here!). First and foremost, the young girl at the front didn't have on a mask. There was also a little girl, maybe between the age if 2-5 running from the back to the counter without a mask I tried to ignore that because my niece wanted these donuts so badly. As we stood there looking into the glass trying to decide which donuts to choose, I SAW A FLY!, I thought that I was tripping so I looked closely and yes there was definitely flies! So I pointed it out to the young lady and she COMPLETELY ignored me and kept asking "which donuts do you want today." I stated again as I pointed "Ma'am, theres flies INSIDE of the glass SITTING AND FLYING AROUND the donuts." She then looked at me confused and asked a second time "how many donuts you like." I couldn't fake it anymore, so me and my niece walked out. I've never had such a horrible experience like this before. VERY unsanitary! VERY unbothered by the flies, and VERY rude! Gone way way downhill. Once very good , the donuts now lack flavor, have become so light and airy that they lack structure and chew , the maple icing has a diluted and odd taste, and the buttermilk bars became very small before vanishing completely because "the batter mixture was too hard to get".
