The lattes here are really good! And everyone in my family really enjoys the baked goods. We've been here about five times or so. Regarding pricing, It's not the worst but it could be better. The service is relatively decent and they're always busy, but not slow. This is one of those cafés where people do order pick up or to go, but there's space for you to sit with your laptop and work if you'd like. From my experience, it's not quiet so if you can work in a bit of noise, I would recommend. The parking lot is a little bit tricky when it's packed, but it's free so that's a plus. This is a great place to stop by if you are going to any of the shops in the area, or walking down the street to the duck pond. There are vanilla bourbon latte is definitely my favorite. read more

Neighborhood coffee shop that is always bustling, especially on the weekends. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of their coffee...it's just okay to me. However, they have a breakfast burrito that is soooo delicious. That alone is worth the four stars. read more

This was my first time coming to Banjo. There is parking available upfront, free of charge. There are 3 big benches & 6 round tables outside for seating. There is a good amount of seating inside as well, including 8 bar seats looking outside the windows (not pictured). There are a few outlets available inside. The breakfast burrito was excellent--great texture and flavor. Our lattes were great. The espresso flavor is so good you don't even need any flavors added. I just got some simple syrup and that was enough:) would definitely come again for the coffee and the good vibes of the shaded outdoor patio. Would recommend! read more

OK, so this is clearly the most popular neighborhood spots. They may as well have a revolving front door! My daughter is doing day camp in Decatur, so I decided to spend the morning at a coffee shop. I chose banjo because it seemed to have good seating plus a dedicated parking lot. However, I did not account for how busy the place would be. If you're looking for a place to either meet up with a friend or get a little work done while you also get your caffeine fixed, this is a great option. If you need quiet in order to work, maybe not so much. We were here from about 9:30 AM to 11 AM, and the traffic slowed a little, but never once stopped. As you can see from my pictures, the biscuits are huge and fluffy. They are also delicious! The coffee drinks were beautifully made and also delicious. Highly recommend this place! read more

My new favorite coffee shop. Great, friendly service. Easy checkout. Nice quaint layout with a nice patio. Love the artwork on the walls. Especially the banjos. Really nice touch. Banjo coffee was an excellent find in Avondale! They have fresh pastries with optional warming. I ate the lemon blueberry muffin room temperature and it was delicious! So much so I went back on a Saturday and the line was out the door. The muffin had chunks of fresh ( maybe wild) blueberries - with just a hint of lemon. My wife and I have been driving by this place for years. Every time I go by I think about stopping in. We were looking for coffee in the Avondale Estates area and I tried several other places but they close at 3 pm. I decided to try Banjo because they were open and I had some time. The coffee was better than good. I also had a croissant and after recently spending a month in Paris I decided Banjo's croissant is just as wonderful as those I tasted in Paris. We also had a blueberry muffin and lemon tart "thingy". All were scrumptious. In spite of coming right around closing time the staff were really friendly and helpful. The place also has very nice decor. They told me they have breakfast sandwiches and burritos in the morning. My wife and I will absolutely be back to have that as well. read more

We were only in the area for a couple of days, but we went to Banjo coffee both days for the toast. It was delicious with candied pecans on top. It was perfect for the slightly cooler weather. Everywhere I go I have to inevitably use the bathroom.. I wish I didn't have to use theirs. The floor was wet. The only accessible toilet paper was thrown on the back of the toilet seat and not in the holder bin. It looked as if they were in the process of renovating it but it was still incomplete with blue tape everywhere. It just didn't feel clean. Hope it improves. IV. this is in my opinion the best cafe in Atlanta. I don't care what anybody else says! The staff are the most impressive people I have ever seen during a rush. The burrito was just okay, very oily (ruined my top and pants) and I wasn't a fan of how minced the meat was. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his biscuit but wished they gave jam with it, but he did not like his drink. I had to go in and ask for some simple syrup on the side to go into it. So heads up, order sweetener or flavoring for the latte. Service: Since it was busy, all the workers were working hard but did pay attention to requests when asked. The cashier was very helpful when ordering, and even sold me the last cinnamon roll in the display case when I asked for one (which was really good warmed). I was really impressed with my visit to Banjo Coffee. I tried three different drinks. Their espresso was strong with hints of chocolate notes, and I really enjoyed it. Their nitro cold brew is one of the best I've ever had, and was so good that I tried their nitro cold brew dirty chai, which is a typical dirty chai made with cold brew instead of espresso. It wasn't as good as the plain cold brew to me, but I still really enjoyed it. The baristas were pleasant, and the outdoor space is nice. My only negative would be that they have minimal space inside if weather is uncooperative. read more

I lived in the area a few years ago, and boy has this place gone down hill. It use to be a great, welcoming environment. Not any longer. Decided to swing by while I was in town a few weeks ago. Terrible terrible. Some guy with glasses behind the counter was so rude, he was very monotone. I understand it's early in the morning, but if you're going to work a job, where you need to be up that early, learn how to greet customers. The other person who was there was nice, but by the time I got to them my mood was already ruined because the guys tone was so rude. Oh yeah, the coffee was ok. This quaint and cute coffee shop makes big flavor and luxurious drinks. When you enter the space, it is small and warm. You're likely going to find people enjoying their sips and sitting around talking. It's that kind of coffee shop. There is not any seating but the truck is right beside the park so if you're already headed there it's a great snack/drink stop. I stopped by to venture in the community as a new mom with a new baby. Dropped in mid day on a Tuesday. The parking lot is limited but I had no issue with parking. The cafe is cute and quaint. There are a few seats in and outside but I took my latte to go. Service was nice and friendly. I had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk. Very tasty but severely overpriced which I was prepared for. The drink however was VERY good. It's good to note that the kitchen closes at 1. Docking one star because although it's tasty it's overpriced but expected. I paid $8 for a large drink but it's the size of a small. Just be prepared for that, I'll likely return at some point read more

I've been here ample of times, it's in a great location. I can't say I'm impressed with their coffee since it had been a hot or miss one too many times. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They offer free wifi and it's a great spot to work for a couple of hours. They also have a selection of bottled beverages, pastries, etc. the ambiance is cool and hip. This was a great stop, we had heard about from Out friends when we evacuated from the hurricane IDA from New Orleans. We have been to Atlanta before but this was a new and great discovery. The cold brew had many varieties. The coffee is ethically sourced and they have lots of other locally sourced items available for purchase. My wife really liked her Americano and the Jalapeño and cheese bagel was very good and the creme cheese was perfectly smooth. We also got to cookies and creme snacks one was chocolate and the other was chocolate chip. Great coffee house and cafe with great options for all coffee and bagel lovers. I will stop back in next time we are in town. Thanks to the owners for what they did to help those that evacuated from hurricane IDA. Leaving the office driving down Covington Hwy and I spot Banjo Coffee so I decided to stop in for a coffee. Located in Avondale Estates off of Covington Hwy with a small parking lot for only a few cars. The place is small and has a rustic chic hippie vibe. The location is small with some seating inside and outside of the shop. There is a mask mandate to enter and if you don't have a mask they provide free of charge. They are following all CDC guidelines and staff was wearing masks as well. I got there late in the afternoon so there wasn't many food options available so I just opted for coffee. I had the bourbon vanilla latte with almond milk it was delicious best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. If they were selling this roast of coffee I would have definitely brought it home to make my own coffee. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop near me. I do like Dancing Goats but this is actually closer and I love their lavender honey and bourbon vanilla lattes! And breakfast burritos! Coming from Colorado, I miss breakfast burritos and they're not as popular here in Georgia. These burritos are house made. I like bacon burritos because bacon, duh.
