We live near Ray's and it is our go to spot for a doughnut on the way to work and school. They have lots of fun and interesting varieties.

Ray's is a great little shop that offers some of the best donuts. This place is not fancy nor do they offer any exotic flavors of donuts. However Ray's glazed donuts are delicious and so light. Their apple fritters are the best in the area. They also sell macaroons which my wife loves. Everything is fresh made and they keep nothing for the next day. (5 stars for the donuts. This place was not meant for sit in visits.) I found this place on yelp and was very interested to go find it (I am a BIG donut fan) So, my boyfriend and I hit the road. It's about a 30 minute drive from my house but I would definitely go again if I were in the mood for donuts. I do not like Krispy creek donuts (I know, crazy) because they are too sweet and glazed for my liking, and Dunkin' Donuts are the exact opposite. Cake donuts are good but not great but these are the perfect mix! They are not too sweet yet they kill a sweet craving, just enough glaze, and the perfect amount of Cakey and flakey. I will say, I was a little turned off at first by the fact that it is connected to a gas station, but I am so glad I went in. They have a drive through but I haven't tried it yet. The place itself is small, the workers aren't too talkative, and the hours are plain weird, but all I wanted was a good donut and that's what I got. Oh, also they aren't expensive which is a plus!!! Great donut shop - using a GpS it was slightly difficult to find, but it's next to a Chevron gas station. We tried a variety including buttermilk, crumb covered cake , donut holes etc and all tasted fresh and yummy . They offer drive through , but we went inside to choose. Also , the owner us very nice! We will return the next time we are in the area! The only thing better would be to get here early, when the product is still warm . Very good coffee, and nice folks who are very helpful . I've lived in the Gwinnett area for 18 years and have experienced donut euphoria 3 times. The 1st time was when I had the cronut and maple bacon donut at Donut Worry and the 2nd time was Donut King located Eufala, Alabama. As I mentioned before, I am from the donut capital of the world, Los Angeles. The donut experience at Donut King could rival any classically trained pastry chef in the world...and this is no exaggeration. Today, most donut places pride themselves on creating exotic and out of the ordinary flavors and creations, instead of texture. A donut should stay fresh..all day and not just for an hour or two out of the fryer. Only two donut places that I've been to in the Southeast have been able to perfect a melt in your mouth and deliciously unctious donut that stays fresh for hours and that is the Donut King in Eufala, Alabama and Ray's Donuts! OMG! Ray's Donuts is located miles away from my home, but I DO NOT CARE! I would drive to Timbuktu to sink my teeth into one of the best glazed donuts that I have ever had. Note to self: If you have to heat up a donut to restore its freshness....then you might as well buy donuts from a grocery store bakery. Ray's Donuts stay moist and melt in your mouth all day long.
