So we finally had a chance to check out Danny's Donuts and we were excited to try it out. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit of a disappointment. This donut shop needs a little better management. We came at 6:30 am in the morning to pick up donuts for my son's class at school and they were already sold out of their most popular donut the original glazed which wouldn't be an issue if they restocked throughout the day but I have read and heard they don't refill once an item is sold out. I mean what are you doing? The ambiance of the store is all right and while I love to support local I must say that this place is kind of a letdown. Donuts tasted fine but nothing that makes it standout. We don't see ourselves returning to this store unfortunately. The service was just ok. 2.4 stars rounded up because it's summer. read more

I ran across Danny's Donuts while working in the north west side corner of Gwinnett county. Some of the reviews on yelp were appealing so I thought I'd give them a try. They did not disappoint. The display of donuts were alluring but what pulled me in was the service behind the counter. While the options were a bit laced meaning that the full menu of donuts was not created due to supply and demand. This was my first time visiting so I promised that I would be back towards the end of the first week in January 2023 since I have to come back to the area on business. Let me first say a few years ago. This was a great donut shop. I don't know if they changed ownership but I certainly know that the people that serve you are different. I have been in there on three different occasions after 12 PM and there is not a donut to be found. I'm not sure why they stay open most of the day when they have no donuts. I guess just sell drinks, so when I brought this up to the young man behind the counter, I was basically told ...it was not his problem and honestly he really did not care! And to the point he was nasty and rude. And then had the audacity to say that he acted that way because I was rude. I was not rude, but I will tell you I was annoyed that I have come in on several occasions, and there are no donuts. I asked him if he could. Please tell his uncle that they are running out of donuts and that perhaps maybe they should make more donuts so they have enough throughout the day. He told me that they aren't Krispy Kreme. And he doesn't count the people that come in looking for donuts in the afternoon. I would like to say that this was the first time I've encountered his rudeness, but it's actually the second time I've encountered his rudeness. So no donuts and they're rude? Nope! there are too many other donut places around. Too bad I did like the donuts, when I could get them but I just can't deal with the service. My wife read about this place on facebook and we happened to be across the street and I was feeling like a late breakfast. The burrito sounded right! So I ordered the Burrito with potato, sausage egg and cheese. It came to our table very hot and steam was still pouring off of it on my last few bites. Very tasty. These donuts changed my life. OMG! So delicious! And I know my donuts. This small shop in Buford knows what they are doing. We went on a Saturday morning and although the shop was busy, service was prompt, thorough, and they had a good selection of donuts available. They were all so good and freshly made. The staff was very friendly and patient as we looked through the variety of donuts available and made our choices. After trying the first bite in the car, we didn't even make it out the parking lot. An unassuming donut shop near the downtown area of Gainesville, they have got good prices and a decent selection of regular and special donuts. They also do a discount if you are a medical provider! The donuts taste pretty homemade and the servers were very friendly, I was there when the owner was there and it's very obvious she's friendly with the locals.
