I've had this place booked marked for awhile and finally made my way up to Ravens View for my birthday. It is small but the views are spectacular. We pretty much had the outside patio to ourselves. The kids enjoyed their pizza and my birthday desert was the best I've tasted. The server was amazing. Food was fantastic. Our waitress was so kind and sweet and great with kids. I would defiantly go back but with my honey for a date. I would love to see the stars for that place. read more

This place is very casual but delightful. Of course the views are beautiful but the food is also great. A nice spot to relax and enjoy all this place has to offer. The temperature was 11 degrees cooler than or place in north Phoenix. It is a ways out on cave creek road but that makes it very scenic. A bit noisy but if the weather permits you can sit outside. Visited on a Sunday evening for an overdue catch up with long time friends. We have driven on the road quite a few times but never noticed it was there as it is tucked away. Beautiful, setting with views to Tom Thumb and a lovely shady patio that enjoys a nice welcome breeze coming from the hills. The blankets provided made the iron chairs very comfortable. Incredibly peaceful we saw a deer and rabbits playing as the sunset. As 2 of us are Vegan the light plate menu was perfect for all the party. Food was freshly prepared, the Thai salad delicious and large enough to split. Service was excellent, very friendly. The wine selection is fantastic for ordering by the glass. We went to Ravens View on recommendation from a guy at our gym. It was awesome. We had the peach salad and the Italian Grinder and they were worth every penny. We can't wait to go back early evening to see a sunset. Nick (a native) was our server and we loved chatting with him and learning about the area. When we went to our car our battery was dead from the hot sun and Nick gladly came out and gave us a jump start. That is 5 star customer service. read more

Six of us came here for brunch on Saturday and had a fabulous time! There is limited seating inside and out. This restaurant is under new ownership and management. Hurray! They have a fabulous diverse menu of fresh food. We had egg and avocado tacos, egg and avocado toast, yogurt parfait and a flight of mimosas. Needless to say we had good food, good service, a fabulous view and a lot of laughs in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. This is a nice get away. Thank you! read more

I really want to like this place, but...... This is my second time here and the service was not that good. First time, we sat at our table invisible while others on either side of us were seated and had their orders taken. Finally I ask if we could get service and was told, "Oh sorry, I did know you needed help." I felt like that because I was not a "regular" I didn't need the same attention. Wine and food was great though. Second time, pretty much the same thing happened. Btw we were told if you want a table on the patio call and reserve one, otherwise your out in the gravel (with unleveled table and seats). What an amazing hidden gem! The food was amazing! The jalapeño corn queso is a must try. The Greek salad and Brussels Sprout salad were both delicious as well. Lovely casual wine bar/restaurant with a spectacular view over the valley. One feels to be on vacation even though it is located ten minutes maximum from the center of Cave Creek. We went on an August Saturday night to celebrate friends' 50th wedding anniversary and had great service for a party of 16. This evening, other friends wanted to take us to this "cool new place" that they had found. The exact same place... We enjoyed happy hour sitting at the bar - wonderful value, great friendly service. Told my fiancée I was going to stop and support this place--I always support small businesses--even though we had already bought sandwiches for our trip up Seven Springs Road. Jen was very courteous and brought to us a bowl of water for our dog, along with menus. We were seated outside. She told me they couldn't make us sandwiches for some reason I don't remember. I said no worries, just bring us a couple of drinks and some guacamole and chips, and that we would eat the sandwiches we had already purchased. About the time my fiancée returns from the truck with the sandwiches, and with Jen getting our food and drink, a man who I can only surmise was the owner rudely approaches and says the restaurant isn't a place where you bring your own food, and asks us to leave in a curt and disrespectful manner. (Apparently he's never been taught that in a service industry, you first seek to understand before being understood). He wouldn't allow me to explain, he just told us to get out. What a great first impression. There was ONE other table with people. All I was trying to do was support the place. NOTICE to all my 4WD'ing friends--DO NOT SUPPORT a place run by a jerk. read more

My family and I were visiting Scottsdale this year for Thanksgiving and this was a great spot for a late night hangout with some wine and small plates. Wonderful atmosphere out on the patio with nice peaceful music, not the loud rock or rap crap that drowns out conversation at the dinner table. It was a little chilly, but every table had a heater and they provided very warm blankets for anyone that requested. Great food, we tried the Corn Queso, Hummus, and Deviled Eggs, all of which were well executed and full of flavor. The Ahi Poke bowl and the paninis we tried were all very fresh and tasty. I highly recommend for a late night place to watch the sunset, grab some small plates, have some drinks, and listen to some music. read more

I'm sure this is a great place to come have a drink But if your really hungry and realize no restaurant is within 15 miles and you want food to eat out nearby forgot it! Because when we ordered our food it took them 1 hour 25min to get our appetizer to our table before the entree! The food itself was decent for a "wine bar" but waiting that long for a bowl of food with 3 meatballs and sauce in it ...shouldn't take more then 20-30 min! The server was passive friendly and did actually apologize for the inconvenience ....but really gave us no explanation.. It was seemed busy when we first got there but by the time we got our food half the place was empty. Beyond that the parking there is horrible and tightly congested (Fire Marshall hazard), a rude patron parked so close to our car boxing us in and we barley had enough room to squeeze our car out of there. The overall experience isn't worthy of more then 1 Star! ...Next time I'm super hungry and want to eat out, I'll drive into town for 15-20 min to eat out. If I have all the time in the world I might go there again to get a drink there, but I doubt it after this experience. What sucks is ...it doesn't take much to make customers happy about service and food, but they failed miserably with this experience. My suggestion is if you go here only get a drink not food unless you got a spare 2 hours to waste which some people in this area probably do, since it's so remote and beautiful territory filled with old people. But living in the Arizona Valley where the food industry has super high standards because of competition ....don't walk into Raven wine bar with high expectations and you'll be good!. read more

OK, this is a rave. The decor is modern but comfy, the wine list is beautifully constructed from affordable to exquisite, and the food that we had was gourmet and delightfully light. We went for early happy hour- a late snack. We enjoyed a bottle of Kim Crawford Sauv Blanc that was perfect with our truffle popcorn (accented with sunflower seeds-- great!) and the margarita panini that has just the perfect amount of balsamic that set it apart as delicious. Kim Westhoff bought the place this spring and has done wonders. It is definitely worth the drive up. Treat yourself! read more

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon with my wife. There were several tables with children with one singing kids songs. Walked right back out
