Quaint little restaurant North of ... everything Small, with limited hours and menu. We came during Saturday breakfast and everything ordered was freshly prepared; we liked it. Absolutely amazing place to have wine, a snack and catch a view! If you'd like patio seating, I recommend making a reservation as it's prime seating. We arrived at 4:45 and enjoyed the propane heaters and blankets while browsing the happy hour menu as the sun was setting. The patio isn't perfectly positioned for sunset, but it works. The food is average, happy hour menu makes the prices reasonable, and the views and atmosphere is what you are paying for! read more

I'll start by saying that I really, really wanted to like this place. It's got a great vibe and the location lives up to its name. The ladies at the hostess station were nice as could be. We got lucky and didn't have to wait for a table. Got a server named Isaiah. We ordered wine, pretzel bread and a margarita french bread appetizer. The pretzels came out in 5 minutes. The wine took about 15 minutes. At about 30 minutes, I asked Isaiah about the other appetizer. He seemed really confused but said he'd check on it. We were ready to order main courses and at about 35 minutes, I asked Isaiah again about the appetizer, he said it'd be out soon. At 40 minutes, I asked again and he completely disappeared. I finally went to the bar to just cancel it. We decided against eating dinner there altogether since we couldn't get a simple bread appetizer order fulfilled. At almost 50 minutes after we initially ordered the appetizer, they brought out 4 small pieces of bread with a half of a cherry tomato on each with a little cheese and said it was comped. I asked Isaiah why it took this long and me asking him 3 times and he blamed the kitchen completely. He didn't take any responsibility himself whatsoever for constantly disappearing and not following up and i watched this guy chatting up ladies at the bar constantly. If i worked in the kitchen and heard that, I wouldn't be too happy. He was a nice kid but needs some serious training. Judging by the reviews here, my experience is an aberration. That sucks because it was my wife's birthday and we were looking forward to it based on a friend's recommendation. We left hungry. Disappointed. I'd go again and sit at the bar for a glass of wine but the service at a table is just awful. read more

This place is INSANE! And you what's more insane? The amount of wine, my best friend can consume there. He's better known as Retired Senior Line Captain Forgey. There's no mistaken this legend, as there's no mistaken the superior service and cool vibe this place cranks out. Just keep an eye out for this fellow, as he can tell you stories beyond belief of his ladder safety training, hazmat communication, and storm water pollution and prevention, just to name a few. Didn't actually get to sit down and eat here. Place is super popular (stunning views). We arrived after a hike around 4:30 (on a Thursday) and walked in. Big mistake. CALL FOR RESERVATIONS. The receptionist was snarky and snooty. The food and ambience looked very nice but if she's your initial encounter, it can definitely make or break your experience there. read more

Came across this little gem by recommendation from a friend. It's the closest restaurant to our house but I would've never found it on my own. They have a great happy hour but the regular menu is just as good. Great wine selection and wine flights and sangria. It's best to make reservations since they are usually very busy but even when they are not they always ask you if you have a reservation. They also have live music occasionally. read more

This was my first time here and I really wanted to love it! The location, people & atmosphere was all nice. We sat outside & the flys we're in full force! We ordered the rustic bread with prosciutto & cheese, it missed the mark. The bread was not rustic it was sandwich roll cut in half. The deviled eggs were some of the smallest eggs I've ever seen. The tomato burrito stack was supposed to be served with greens, but wasn't. All these simple menu ideas should've been more memorable to keep me coming back. read more

Expanded menu, with fresh house made soups panini sandwiches, and salads. The previous owners were only open after 4 pm... The new owner is open 7 days for lunch and dinner. My girlfriend and I came up to Raven's view on Sunday for an "adult" experience. Lacy the bartender was fabulous. The wine selection was fabulous. However, The place was filled with children. (6 children under 7 an 2 pre teens). And Very noisy children at that. If I wanted to be surrounded by children I would've gone to Chuck E. Cheese. Very disappointing and unless and until they change their policy regarding children under the age of 18 I will not be back . Note: on our way out of the tables with young children started singing "now I know my ABCs". WTF?!? This is a wine bar??? read more

What an awful experience. Would have given 0 stars if it were an option. We were seated over an hour and a half, and only 2 out of the 4 people ever got food. They claimed they "ran out of burgers" after waiting another 15 minutes, and finally we got up and left after another 10 minutes of no food. Multiple servers and "managers" came to our table to ask what was wrong, and each time they came back with another excuse as to why 2 people in our party STILL did not get their ordered food. Worst lunch experience and service experience I have ever had. Taking 25% off of a bill does not make up for the embarrassment of that experience, and the fact that 2 people left your restaurant without eating a single bite. read more

I need to take a minute to gush with goodness! This place is off the beaten path - which I love. I went in on a Thursday night - not crowded at all - which I love even more. I tried their grilled peach salad and it was to die for. Presentation was beautiful and it was bursting with flavors - blueberries, goat cheese, crispy prosciutto dressed with a lovely balsamic glaze. The gal behind the bar was incredibly sweet with superb customer service skills. I can't wait to go back and share the experience with friends. Great spot. Wonderful views. Food was exceptional. Service, even better. My family and I came here tonight (a Friday) early. It was already busy which is always a good sign. Had a few appetizers and ordered our meals. Gnocchi was out of this world. Also tried two different paninis. Asked for mine without mushrooms. It showed up with mushrooms which I was able to brush off in 2 seconds. Our server was extremely apologetic but I assured him, no big deal at all. Both paninis tasted great. Got our check and he didn't charge us for my panini. That was above and beyond. I was thrilled with our meal, he did not have to do that. Everyone working there is really friendly and we loved our meals. We will be back with frequency. Loved it. read more

We drove 45 minutes from our home to check out Raven's View after we read it was voted the North Valley's best wine bar ; it didn't disappoint! My husband and I wanted to order a good amount of items, in part we were hungry but actually more compelling for us was checking out the menu offerings. We started with the pretzel appetizer which had a delicious stone ground mustard and a yummy cheese sauce ( really yummy! ) with it. It was hot and salty. Wow! Then we ordered the charcuterie board which we devoured. The grilled bread served with it was plentiful ( probably 8-9 generous pieces ) and we picked our way through that, accompanied by a carafe of red sangria. There's a happy hour deal for ( I think it's ) $25 for a large charcuterie board and a large carafe of sangria. Highly recommend! My husband ordered the brussel sprout salad and I ordered the highly touted crab cakes. Again both so yummy! The crab cakes are baked, not fried and they are lightly breaded. Two huge cakes along with a generous couple handfuls of greens. And the remoulade sauce was so nice. I ate less than 1/2 so I have nice leftovers! Apparently there's live music Th, Fri and Saturday evenings and on our Thursday evening there was a guitarist playing cover songs. Great vibe. Great addition to the atmosphere. I didn't even get to mention the spectacular 360 degree views. Or the 10 degree lower, more ideal temps at the venue ... We can't wait to go back! read more

Nice blankets over seats which was a nice touch on a cool day. Went with my friend Captain Neuman who consumed 3 beers2 glasses of champagne , q white wine and 2 Pinots, Zinfandel all while reading the opps manual and doing an OIMS assessment. Very impressive. First time here...recommended by a friend, loved it and have recommended to my friends. Nice wine and beer selection and small menu, but didn't disappoint. Had the yummy charcuterie board and the popular beef sandwich with awesome French onion soup. This is a diamond in the rough, off Cave Creek Road. They also had live music on the patio on weekend nights, it was a great way to spend a Saturday evening. Looking forward to going back. read more

Prices are a little high but I guess you have the power of that when you're the only restaurant for miles. Deviled eggs- I'd give them a solid 2.5 out of 10, they were extremely cold, filling was hard, and tasted more like the inside of a fridge. A cute restaurant with great views and great ambiance. However there is room for improvement. * The music was very loud, so loud that we had to ask them to turn it down. * Another annoyance was, when we were still nibbling on our appetizers, the waitress asked if she could take our plates, and the remaining food, a couple people said yes, but 3-4 others didn't reply and/or weren't acknowledged. She went ahead and cleared the whole table. There were full pieces of cheese and meat still on the meat tray, and other random appetizers still on plates, definitely that could of stayed on the table. I was very surprised that she even asked the question since we were there for just drinks and appetizers. So weird. Why ask to remove food from a table where there's clearly people still eating? * Also, when the checks came and after we had all paid, while adding our tips on, the waitress comes to collect all the signed payment slips, interrupting us in the middle of our conversations. Most restaurants pick those up after the guest have left. By picking them up while we are still there made us feel rushed and hurried out the door. The restaurant was not busy, there were several tables available. * HEADS UP EVERYONE- they took away the HAPPY HOUR on the weekends. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! My boyfriend & I went here on Halloween & all of the staff was dressed up, which was awesome. We got to meet the owner, Kim. She was amazing & super involved & seemed to know almost all of her customers there! I don't even drink wine personally but ended up finding one I absolutely LOVED thanks to Thomas. All of the food was delicious. All of this on top of the great view the place has! The weather was perfect & they had the huge garage door opened up. The first time we went here it was on a Monday for a birthday. We met the owner/manager and her grandbaby plus some of the regulars. They were very nice people. Service, food, environment, it was all amazing. Today, opposite experience. Service was so slow we had to ask the bar for drinks. Bartender was snappy and unpleasant giving off the vibe she didn't want to help or be friendly. My salad had hardly any chicken in it. We will give this place another try again at some point but what a disappointment today was. read more

We LOVE Raven's View. Each time family or friends want to go out to eat, we go to Raven's View, even though it's a 30 minute drive from our house. It is absolutely worth the drive. Each time we go, I could describe the experience as "magical". The sunset and views from the restaurant are amazing (mountains near Cave Creek and private golf courses). It makes you feel like you're out in the middle of the wild west, but being taken care of really well. The service is great. The servers are super accommodating and they spread out the tables and follow COVID precautions. One of our times visiting we started on the patio but had more people join so they moved a big table from inside to the gravel on the outside so that they could accommodate our larger group. They also move heaters closer to you if needed. The live music on Friday's and Saturday's is the perfect accompaniment to the Happy Hour deals (everyday). The deals are unbeatable. My favorite things to order are the $25 bottle and board on Happy Hour, $5 french onion cup of soup on HH, and the Tuna Tartare. But I have never had something I didn't like at Raven's View! read more
