This place is really cool! The food was amazing. Views were great. The wine by the glass price is a little pricey. $18 for a glass of Chardonnay is more than I spent most nights out when I lived in NYC. They also don't have a very good beer selection. The main reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because for a Saturday afternoon they were understaffed or their wait staff was overwhelmed Idk. Just fantastic for so many reasons. Came here for dinner and I was blown away. We got meatballs, ahi tartare, meat and cheese platters, crab cakes, and wine. Some highlights were the bread, the ahi tartare, and the meat/cheese plates. Wine wise, I highly recommend "Jordan". Fantastic wine for the price. It seems like Raven's View should be one of those "hidden gems" of a place given it's relatively remote location. Certainly not so, judging from the almost-always full parking lot. Nestled in the hills above Cave Creek, Raven's View comprises a relatively small and cozy interior with a variety of seating, a nice bar area, in addition to a great outdoor patio setting with views of the nearby golf course and gorgeous mountains in the distance. On this visit (our second) we again opted for the patio which had numerous heaters available to keep things cozy. Alex, our server, was great and personable. He immediately accommodated our request to sample a few wine selections to help us choose. We ended up with a really delicious bottle of Inkblot Cabernet Franc. The menu selection is nicely varied with mostly shareable dishes, perfect for a date night. We started with the Warm Mixed Olives and a board of Rustic French Bread, consisting of prosciutto, ricotta, fig preserves, some mixed greens and a nice balsamic glaze. Really quite tasty. We then followed that up by (mostly, lol) sharing a fine bit of French Onion Soup - highly recommended - and finally the Artichoke Spinach, served with grilled naan and carrot sticks. It's topped with a fine layer of melted cheese. Desert was a generously-sized brownie topped with a bit of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream drizzled in a chocolate glaze. All in all, a perfect meal in a perfect setting. The wine and beer selection is pretty extensive, so you are sure to find something to suit your palate. Service is friendly and attentive without being overly intrusive. Alex added to the experience. He helped with wine suggestions and made sure we kept warm in the January chill with a patio heater and even some blankets. We'll definitely be back, even if just to hang out at the bar and sample some wine. Great place. read more

My husband and I just went here today for lunch, it's a very cute little wine restaurant, my husband had the deviled eggs and french onion soup & white sangria. He enjoyed it all, I had the white wine (refreshing) flight & an ahi tuna salad. The salad was good and fairly large size, and the wine flight was overall pretty good. This place is kinda far even for us living in Cave Creek. However, it is def worth the drive. Next time we will uber so my husband can also have a bit more to drink. It does have a very nice view, I would recommend making reservations as this place is very small and was crowded the entire time we were there. Luckily we were able to snag 2 seats at the bar. I've been there with the family for lunch (wife and 2 kids). Unfortunately we were given a table inside while in our opinion there were still places available in the patio - but this doesn't really matter in the appreciation of the place. We were seated and service was awfully slow. We waited a long time to get our meals. I shared with my spouse a ahi tuna tartare - which was really average (lack of seasoning in my opinion). My daughter had the 2 cheese-2 meats platter which was also average and my kid had the grilled cheese. Overall - very average food but really bad service. On top of that when you ask for the check - they bring you a device with the total and no detail to check, whereby standard proposed tips are 18% - 20% - 25% and 30% (what a joke for a shitty service...). I will not be returning to this place and do not recommend it. read more

Beautiful setting after harrowing drive through construction from Scottsdale. Patio was nice, but we had a group of 7 and there was no shade available for part of our group, making a couple of ladies very uncomfortably hot. Portable umbrellas would have helped a lot. This place is not in the heart of the city but it is on a location that has amazing views and the atmosphere is comfy and friendly. I met the owner, Kim, after my friend and I were riding our motorcycles. She was awesome and took good care of us while we sat at the bar. This is such a cool little place with a nice little patio. If you are out and about in North Scottsdale, stop by here and say hi to Kim! We had a beer and no food so I can't give any feedback on the food but I did overhear people saying how good it was. I am definitely bringing my wife back here soon to enjoy the view and hospitality of Kim and her staff. read more

So sad to see that even Raven's View is cutting back. Now that the snowbirds have left several items on the menu are crossed out and no longer available. Although the happy hour prices are the same, the portion sizes are minuscule (the stuffed mushrooms were the size of large raisins). The live music was poor with a scruffy crooner that nobody was listening to, and the service was slow. Sorry, but you used to have higher quality. read more

We were staying at the Boulders Resort and decided to take a leisure drive based on a friend's recommendation. Such a delightful spot- we would totally take the 45 minute drive from our home in Tempe to dine here on a lazy weekend! They are on Open Table, so do ensure to book and collect your points! Ambience: Such a quaint restaurant in a very spread out residential community. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. We sat outside and took in the much envied AZ winter weather. The restaurant adhered well to Covid protocols. There were hand sanitizers at each table. Food: AMAZING! The deviled eggs were devoured before we remembered to take photos. The ahi tuna tartare gets a 10/10! It is very uniquely prepared. The sauce is a bit of soy with maybe a bit of rice vinegar. The Bartlett beef dip also gets a 10/10. We had to get it as the restaurant had just a hint of the au jus smell when we walked in. Service: Our server was amazing! Went through all our questions on the menu. Though the mimosa flight was not on the menu at the time, he went ahead and made it happen for me. The "flight" was actually 4 full glasses of champagne with 4 large servings of cranberry, orange, prickly pear and grapefruit juice. So you could build your own mimosas. Such a great experience! Just had a fantastic nibble at the Ravens View! The place was pleasantly busy; the bar 3/4 full, all 4 patio tables full! 2 bartenders running the place. It was so quaint and cute, I cannot wait to go back. We enjoyed a carafe of red sangria ($15 Happy Hour), and the Bavarian Pretzels ($7 for 3 large sticks with cheese and mustard). PSA: I do NOT recommend pretzels with Sangria. Dont get me wrong, both were absolutely perfect, just not together. The pretzels def needed beer consumption!! What a Rookie!! I'd pair the sangria with a nice cheese plate. Oh well...guess I have to go back now! All in all we had a great time. I'd give it 5 stars but I sit at a bar looking for that bartender guest interaction. It seemed as though the 2 bartenders really could have cared less if we were there or not. Came here last night for drinks on a cold rainy Saturday evening. At first I thought my friends were joking as we drove out into the middle of nowhere but boy was I in for a surprise. All of a sudden a building with soft glowing lights appeared in the darkness and it was the most beautiful place I've seen in a long time. We walked in and there was a small crowd, probably due to the wet weather. There was a gentleman in the corner playing guitar performing live music. The back wall was garage door style and opened up to the the beautiful desert evening. The sky was filled with a blanket of stars and it was really beautiful. Our waitress was great and offered suggestions on appetizers and wines to try. I started with the red sangria and finished off with a glass of something she suggested and was pleasantly surprised. For appetizers we had the meatballs and chips and guacamole. The meatballs were as big as my head! They were delish. The whole experience was magical and I would definitely go back. read more

I came here at night with some friends, and we loved it so much. It's also carefree's restaurant week so that was nice. The outside was already packed so we sat inside but the garage doors were open allowing outside seating at the bar but let the cool air in. It was dimly lit and so nice and relaxing. We had 2 bottles of wine which was really good it was the Pinot gris. The waitress was very attentive as she was also the bartender. She gave us great selections and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The owner was also there and very nice to talk to and informed us that they do now allow kids, but I still wouldn't bring small children but it would be great for teenagers. They did mess up on one of the orders but they quickly fixed and and allowed us to keep the food they brought by mistake. I can't wait to go back and enjoy some wine. read more

Really wanted to like this place. Waited 20 mins for the slowest hostess ever. Never got seated so we left. Won't return.

I will start with the positives. The food and service were good. That's where it ends for us. There was a live musician playing when we got there. We were seated across the room from him, but his music and singing were so extremely loud that I could not have a conversation with my husband across the table from me. And because the Music was so loud, the people around us had to yell to talk to each other, which made it even worse. It was terribly uncomfortable to be sitting there, trying to eat while the music was deafening. If we return, it will be on the night when there is no live music. read more

Love Raven's View but they publish live music. And we wanted to hear it. Unfortunately, If you are sitting inside and music is outside you can't hear very well. They tried to open the doors but it doesn't do justice. Beware, if you go to listen to someone, you need to gamble on whether the musician is inside or outside.
