We order at least once a week, every week. Won't be doing it again for a long while. We ask each time that our chicken & jos be fresh dropped (as opposed to pre fried chicken/jos being redropped into hot oil.) Was craving some fried chicken, jojos and pizza and after looking at reviews we decided to try Rasicci's Pizza. This place is definitely a favorite of locals and has a lot to offer on the menu. They have different types of chicken mixes and pizzas. We decided to get the deep-dish deluxe pizza which seemed to have a fan favorite based on reviews. It was a bit pricy for the size of it and was definitely expecting a larger pizza but considering it is deep dish and had thicker dough it was decently filling. The chicken was also good, crispy and not dry. They also gave us a good amount of jojos. They were not super bready jojo's and I wish they were a bit crispier but they definitely gave us a generous amount. The place itself is tiny on the inside with no interior seating besides a few seats to sit while waiting to pick up orders. Overall, the food here is good and definitely has its place. You will find something you like but I do feel it is a bit pricy and could get a better value for chicken, jojos, and pizza at similar places. Definitely NOT deep dish. If you order expecting to get deep dish, you will be horribly disappointed. It is Detroit style, which I love, but that's not at all like deep dish. If they changed the name from deep dish, I would say that it is possibly the best Detroit style pizza in the area. The fried chicken is also very good. read more

I give this pizza a 2/5 for several reasons. 1) the crust was greasy around the edges and not tasteful. 2) the rest of the crust also was not tasteful and a little to "airy." 3) the sausage was below par. 4). The cheese was good and overall it was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a pizza from here. Rasicci's Pizza is a small mom-and-pop pizza and chicken shop that's been around for nearly 40 years. Tonight I called to order a meal for pickup. The lady had a hard time hearing me as she mentioned there was a lot of noise in the shop. I asked about suggestions on what was really good there, but like I have often found, most people do not know how to talk up their company or what they sell and she was unable to give me any suggestions. Now their website is down and their Facebook and Yelp profiles do not have pictures of their menu uploaded so I really did not even know what I could order so I settled on a large pepperoni pizza. She confirmed my order and told me it would be 20 minutes. When I arrived the parking lot was pretty full and there was a short line of people waiting to pick up their food and pay. There was nothing special or fancy about the place but they were definitely busy. They had--what looked like--hundreds of pieces of chicken frying and a very large double-stacked conveyer oven for the pizza that took up nearly half of the kitchen! This place must stay busy! Now what really impressed me while I was inside was the customers. I mentioned that this was my first time at Rasicci's and about three different people started chiming in about how Rasicci's makes the absolute best fried chicken and jojos anywhere in the area. They seriously went on about it for a couple minutes. Also the person collecting the money for the orders seemed to know her regular customers; she even commented to the one guy about how he ordered something different than usual. I may visit again and try the chicken and IF it is as good as everyone was saying it would probably bump my rating up to 4-stars. However I only had pizza. So I can only comment on that. I took a few pictures of it when I arrived home to give a good idea of what to expect. The pizza was only OK. It was not bad at all and was probably better than any of the other pizza places within a couple miles. But it is nothing I would brag about. They use a generic canned sauce and at least some canned vegetables which you can see in my one picture. Their one redeeming factor was that since they use their fancy pizza oven it cooks the pizza about perfectly. I was very impressed with the way the crust and dough turned out. So if you like your typical run-of-the-mill local pizza joint then this is about as good as they come. But there is no love or "special sauce" or historic traditions put into this pizza. If you are looking for pizza with fresh ingredients that has a little character you will not find that at Rasicci's Pizza. read more

I have been going to rasicci's pizza for years love their deep dish pizza. but they need to ease up on the cheese it's to the point that it's a chocking hazard. they also have great chicken and JoJos other then the fact that they have way to much cheese on their deep dish pizza. it's a very good pizza their food is worth a try but over the years they have went from a cheap pizza place to being over priced. years ago you would go down to pick up your food and everyone would greet you ask how you have been. talk to you because they where a family ran business that new their customers now most of those familiar faces are gone. not sure if a ownership change has taken place or if it's under new management but you just don't get the same vibe when you go to pick up your food. most of the time you stand in a line in bad weather in the parking lot to pick your food up from a window. you don't get the same friendly greeting from years past it's more of a business approach. if you have never tried the deep dish and the chicken it's worth a try. but for a long term customer like myself and the family members that live in the area. there having been a lot of changes and most are not for the better. ten years ago this would of been 5 stars only because the app would not have let me give. 6 read more

I read the great reviews so I ordered pizza & jojos from here. First of all, there is way too much cheese on this pizza & I love cheese. It made the dough soft. Also, the sauce is disgusting, I had to scape it off in order to eat this piece. As I read in a review below they use a canned sauce. After I scraped off some cheese, the sauce & reheated in the oven to try to give some crisp to this soft doughy mess.. I was finally able to eat a slice. The jojos were OK, nothing special. I have been craving Chicago style pizza and searched the reviews and Rasicci's was at the top of the list. Well... I can say that I am less than pleased with the product and customer service. First the product. I ordered a small deep dish cheese, sauce and bacon pizza. It was the most flavorless food I've ever eaten. All it was was salt, and for someone who loves to salt their food it takes a lot of salt for me to say that. The sauce was bland and the cheese was tasteless and chewy. I actually choked on it. I can forgive that because everyone has a bad day, so I was willing to give them another try, but I can't abide poor customer service. The counter woman was very nasty and seemed that she only wanted us out as quickly as possible. I think the sour look on her face said it all. I always smile and greet people, but she acted like I offended her. Again, we all have bad days, but dont take it out on me. So no. I will never go back to a place that obviously doesn't want my patronage. I hate to leave such a bad review, but I too work with the public and I know a good product and good service are paramount to keeping customers. This place had neither. read more

people always check your box before you leave I called in and asked for the Wing dinner and then I got home I a variety of chicken, oh don't eat but Wing the lady got me order wrong so I call back up there and the owner told me this what I ordered but I know I ordered he processed to say she has been working there for a long time. Well I really hate to write this review. It seems that they have changed their deep dish pizzas which saddens me. We raised our family over in North Hill and we probably ordered their pizza at least once a week. From like 1999 until just a few years ago......My husband and I wld always get the Deep dish because the toppings were sandwiched between the dough---with the cheese and sauce on top. Well I just got a "deep dish" pizza and actually had a slight confrontation with the apparent owner. He was extremely rude to me and promised that nothing has changed. ??? I'm not an idiot and would gladly pay extra to have it made the way they did before. The only thing he admitted to was only doubling the dough with a small now, as opposed to a large. But it's not the same. The toppings are all on top of the only single layer of dough. So how exactly IS this a Deep Dish????? Does anyone know if these ppl are the original owners?? I may have to look this up and do some digging. Cuz this isn't the deep dish that I remember and love. Well they've lost a customer. Luigis is my only pizza shop now ..... It's sad.
