I try to come at least once a week.. Happy father's live in Cleveland, roughly about 40 minutes away. I am addicted to their chicken and Jo Jo's... If your a fan of chicken.... This place is a must.. Got my fiance hooked

A small pepperoni and sausage pizza

I love pizza and have sampled most pizza establishments in Akron. I'm not a professional food critic. I give this pizza a 2/5 for several reasons. 1) the crust was greasy around the edges and not tasteful. 2) the rest of the crust also was not tasteful and a little to "airy." 3) the sausage was below par. 4). The cheese was good and overall it was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a pizza from here. I would go out of my way to get a pizza from Guiseppi's and I love the Brick Oven Brew Pub in Ellet.

Rasicci's Pizza is a small mom-and-pop pizza and chicken shop that's been around for nearly 40 years. Tonight I called to order a meal for pickup. The lady had a hard time hearing me as she mentioned there was a lot of noise in the shop. I asked about suggestions on what was really good there, but like I have often found, most people do not know how to talk up their company or what they sell and she was unable to give me any suggestions. Now their website is down and their Facebook and Yelp profiles do not have pictures of their menu uploaded so I really did not even know what I could order so I settled on a large pepperoni pizza. She confirmed my order and told me it would be 20 minutes. When I arrived the parking lot was pretty full and there was a short line of people waiting to pick up their food and pay. There was nothing special or fancy about the place but they were definitely busy. They had--what looked like--hundreds of pieces of chicken frying and a very large double-stacked conveyer oven for the pizza that took up nearly half of the kitchen! This place must stay busy! Now what really impressed me while I was inside was the customers. I mentioned that this was my first time at Rasicci's and about three different people started chiming in about how Rasicci's makes the absolute best fried chicken and jojos anywhere in the area. They seriously went on about it for a couple minutes. Also the person collecting the money for the orders seemed to know her regular customers; she even commented to the one guy about how he ordered something different than usual. I may visit again and try the chicken and IF it is as good as everyone was saying it would probably bump my rating up to 4-stars. However I only had pizza. So I can only comment on that. I took a few pictures of it when I arrived home to give a good idea of what to expect. The pizza was only OK. It was not bad at all and was probably better than any of the other pizza places within a couple miles. But it is nothing I would brag about. They use a generic canned sauce and at least some canned vegetables which you can see in my one picture. Their one redeeming factor was that since they use their fancy pizza oven it cooks the pizza about perfectly. I was very impressed with the way the crust and dough turned out. So if you like your typical run-of-the-mill local pizza joint then this is about as good as they come. But there is no love or "special sauce" or historic traditions put into this pizza. If you are looking for pizza with fresh ingredients that has a little character you will not find that at Rasicci's Pizza.

    Rasicci's deep dish pizza

I have been going to rasicci's pizza for years love their deep dish pizza. but they need to ease up on the cheese it's to the point that it's a chocking hazard. they also have great chicken and JoJos other then the fact that they have way to much cheese on their deep dish pizza. it's a very good pizza their food is worth a try but over the years they have went from a cheap pizza place to being over priced. years ago you would go down to pick up your food and everyone would greet you ask how you have been. talk to you because they where a family ran business that new their customers now most of those familiar faces are gone. not sure if a ownership change has taken place or if it's under new management but you just don't get the same vibe when you go to pick up your food. most of the time you stand in a line in bad weather in the parking lot to pick your food up from a window. you don't get the same friendly greeting from years past it's more of a business approach. if you have never tried the deep dish and the chicken it's worth a try. but for a long term customer like myself and the family members that live in the area. there having been a lot of changes and most are not for the better. ten years ago this would of been 5 stars only because the app would not have let me give. 6

Very solid! The pizza was top notch. Affordable. Very tasty. Delivery took a touch longer than I had hoped but not the end of the world.

When they modernized the place they changed the pizza. It's not nearly as good. In fact, it's less than average.

Went there for the first time in years with my family a few hours ago and the minute I open the door she's screaming at us and I can't hear her from how loud it is so I asked her to repeat herself. She's yelling again. Her along with other servers kept telling us to move to the side behind other people. This place is so narrow and packed there is hardly room to move anywhere you're not up someone's behind. Not the best impression with a rude hostess yelling at you the minute you open the door. Who hires these people? Then we get sat crammed 5 to a 4 top by who I assume is the owner. The food is bland, sauce tastes like cheap tomato sauce from a can, 85 % cheese if you're into that. I won't be back after this experience and they should hire friendlier staff. I also want to add that the next day after eating at Luigi's I got sick and threw up and was queasy all day and that's all I had to eat the day before was their salad and pizza so beware eating there! Never again!

No longer a dining room but with good reason. They're so busy they needed to expand the kitchen. They did make a bar area for you to sit at while you wait which is exactly what we did. Had a nice conversation with the owner while he made our pizzas and we waited for them to bake. Order 3 large specialty pizzas, 3 slices of the peanut butter pie and a special seasonal cinnamon roll to take home. I've got to admit I was a bit worried about how the quality would be effected after the 40 minute ride home but I'm happy to report everything still tasted delicious and if I'm being honest it probably saved me from burning the roof of my mouth. As you can see we dug right in before I even remembered to take a pic. Too good to wait. The peanut butter pie is out of this world. It's something you need to try. First time trying the Peppers and Cream Pizza. Loved it. Be prepared for heat when you hit the jalapenos. Still so good though. The MVP may be our favorite. It's simply a classic. The BBQ was good too. There hasn't been a pizza or menu item yet I wouldn't order again. Stop in and get you some!

There is a little dining area to eat. Which is fine. I did not want to drive all l that way and take it home cold. We got the Greek salad and the MVP added olives. The salad was good. No Greek dressing. Just Italian or ranch and we got Italian, it was ok. Pizza came out and we were super excited to try. The first bite was soft. Their dough is soft and fluffy which I kinda liked but this tasted like it needed to be cooked more in the middle to support the toppings and get some crunch on the dough. It wasn't bad the dough was just soft. Then I noticed the burnt ring around the crust edge. Like they tried to cook in the middle but the bottom started to burn so they had to take it out. More examination of the bottom we saw a distinct burn. Bummer. I really wanted to like this place a lot. Prices are a bit high because they make a lot a specialty pizza. If you order a 1 or 2 topping pizza it will be average. They don't skimp on the toppings which is nice. But I think they need to regulate that oven. The deck is hot but the rest of the pizza needs to cook too. As mentioned the dough is fluffy. Which was fine. Just need it not to be burnt and cook the top. Service was good. The girl and guy in the shop were super nice and helpful. No complaints they were trying hard to please. The pizza was just not up to the hype. Eating this for left over lunch tomorrow so we will see how it holds up.
