Not sure why we've never been before, but we finally checked out Missing Falls Brewery this weekend -- and we're glad we did! The building was easy to find, and while the parking lot is large, it seems to serve several nearby businesses, so finding a spot took a little searching. Once inside, we grabbed seats at the bar and were greeted quickly. The bartenders were friendly and got us menus right away. I ordered a flight and tried Golden Zip, Mango Rx, Nice Pear!, and Get to Steppin'. Nice Pear! was the standout -- a super crisp, light cider with a ton of flavor. Mango Rx came in second for me: great flavor, smooth, and not too heavy. For food, I chose the New Kind of Kick sandwich, which features a spicy garlic crispy chicken breast topped with beer-battered jalapeño slices, bleu cheese, and peppered bacon on a ciabatta roll. It was absolutely delicious. The fresh-cut fries were great, too. We also grabbed the mozzarella planks after seeing several tables order them. They were definitely tasty, but the marinara sauce didn't quite match the quality -- pretty basic and a little disappointing compared to how good the planks themselves were. Overall, we really enjoyed our afternoon at Missing Falls and will definitely be back soon!

Came in on a Thursday night about 70% full. Got here before trivia as we are not fans. Food came out hot and in a timely manner. Nothing crazy but good quality food for a brewery. The place is very loud, I think it's just how the people talk so hard to hear those sitting with you. Workers were attentive and ensured we had everything we wanted.

Visited Missing Falls based on a recommendation from my daughter. Upon arrival, we seated ourselves. It became apparent that we had to go to the bar to place our drink and food requests. I am not a fan of that, but it is what it is. I started off with a cider, which was sweet and tasty. The wings sounded good, so we requested the cajun dry rub. My daughter requested a chicken wrap with fries, I requested the Greek salad, and my wife, a pizza. About 20 minutes later, our food was delivered. The wings were incredible. The chicken was of great quality and the house made cajun dry rub was superb with just a hint of heat. My daughter very much injoyed her chicken wrap. My Greek salad was the best I've ever had. They paid attention to detail when making it because all the veggies and chicken were diced to the same size, which I very much appreciated. The house made dressing was the bomb. Great food, good service.

Loved the vibes of this place! It felt kind of hidden and almost like it was at an old building and/or factory (yet still felt very modern). It also gave off the vibes of your local hometown bar. The beers were very good! I had the Kolsch and an IPA. Both were very tasty. My partner had wings and he enjoyed them. I had pretzels (a brewery must) and they were very good! Shout out to the cheese sauce. Service was friendly and speedy! They have a very small outdoor patio (maybe 6 tables that seat 4 each) but they were very enjoyable to sit at an play cards.

This was my best friend's and my go to after-work spot for drinks and apps. One of the best memories I have working in Akron! It's a small but cozy place to catch up and try amazing local beers, well crafted and custom to Akronites. The food is pretty good too, although I'm not a huge fan of the fries as they were a little soggy and not very well seasoned. Bartenders are amazing hosts! I've had great conversations with them and they do their best to help customers pick out beers accustom to their taste buds and preferences.

Scot Rail Ale with Fish Sandwich & French Fries

The staff is always great & I like the atmosphere. Tonight I had the Scot Rail Ale (Wee Heavy). I also had their fish sandwich with fries. The fish is a huge portion of beer battered fish with American cheese & tartar sauce. The fries are fresh & great as well. Their food has always been good & at a good price point for what you get

Cool warehouse refurb in downtown Akron. Casual vibes with friendly staff that make you feel welcome the moment you sit down. Love the cauliflower crust option for the pizza....you would never know it was just a crunchy thin crust! The beer was also delicious and available in to go cans to stock your home fridge. Family friendly with pinball games to play with the kids.

First the good. Missing falls is in one of the downtown old brick buildings. Very industrial vibe. Classic micro brew interior but very well done. Staff is friendly and accommodating. You can sample a beer to make sure you will enjoy it. The bartender Ethan was very friendly, talkative and made you feel welcome. I would come back because of him. Now the bad. Had a burger and wings. The burger is a smash style burger and I really enjoyed it. Had some good sauces on it and I recommend it. Came with fries but man was it a small portion, not seasoned and they were cold. If you have read my reviews you know I hate improperly cooked fries and these weren't cooked well. Not greasy but limp, single cooked (IYKYK), unseasoned and just plain boring. We got wings and the sauce on them was good. Enjoyed the wings. Strangely the buffalo wings were half the size of the Carolina Gold. I posted a picture if you are interested but every wing was like in the picture. How the heck does this happen? Got blue cheese and celery with the wings. Well three small pieces of celery that were maybe half a piece of celery. Really?? The blue cheese sucked. No blue cheese flavor. It was some kind of cream based sauce with lumps that I guess were blue cheese. With all of that the food was better than many micro brews but it needs work. I will come back and maybe we can move this place to 4 stars.

What a fun local brewery! Food was fast and delicious and service friendly. We loved the grilled chicken wrap with Branchero sauce - full of flavor, and the veggie pizza was tasty and perfect for two! The cider was so yummy we grabbed a four pack to go. Also enjoyed the ESP and few stouts. Atmosphere was fun with lots of games (pinball, darts, etc). Great stop!

Fun & relaxing atmosphere here! Nice big shared parking lot with free parking. Had more $ to spend on food and cider . Ate and drank here on a Saturday afternoon and a very enthusiastic group was watching the World Cup. Lots of tv's here. The pear cider is refreshing, smooth & delicious. Excellent cider on tap! The food is really yummy! Highly recommend the fresh, made from scratch soft pretzels. Makes an excellent appetizer. Then, order a pizza. You won't be disappointed. All food and drinks are ordered at the counter. Once you pay and receive a table number, enjoy your drink. The food arrives in a timely manner. We didn't have to wait long at all. Will be back to eat and drink here.

Good drinks, food was ok too. Services was a lil laid back so if you aren't in a hurry it's fine. Laid back atmosphere. I'd return.

Firehouse Tavern - Honest Review…read more We stopped in because one of the ladies in our group was craving sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told they're no longer on the menu--even though they still appear on the website. Our waitress explained there's a new manager and they currently don't have access to update the online menu. The atmosphere felt cold and very empty when we arrived, so we asked for something warm to drink. The only options were Coke products, so five of us settled for simply a cup of hot water. There were nine of us total, and the food came out sporadically. We tried to wait until everyone had their meal, but the timing made it a little awkward. On a positive note, I ordered the House on Fire Jalapeño Popper Burger. It came with crispy bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeños. The menu said the jalapeños were deep-fried, though I only received soft ones. However -- the burger was cooked perfectly. I asked for medium, and it came out pink inside, which told me the patties are made fresh. My side was the homemade potato chips, but they were just dry fried potatoes without much flavor or crisp. Once everyone finally had their food, the waitress disappeared. I ended up going to the bar myself to ask for water, and was handed a plastic cup with no ice. We didn't see the waitress again until she came around with the checks. The good news is: They do take credit cards The restaurant is wheelchair accessible -- but only if the correct parking spot is open. Once the lot fills (about 10 cars), the incline makes it nearly impossible for a handicap van to park safely. My burger, fries, and cup of water came to about $15. Overall, I'm not sure I'd return. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals, but between the missing menu items, slow service, and lack of warmth in the atmosphere, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.

Portions were kinda small, left me hungry. And the food took forever to show up. Good burger, but the Fries looked great were inedible. How I don't know.
