Stopped in for Weekend Brunch at Town Tavern while out running errands. We sat at the bar and had excellent service. The drinks were strong and the food came out quickly. We love how fresh the lettuce wraps are and paired with the gorgeous watermelon radish! This was my first time trying the Queso Royale Burger and it won't be my last! The staff is absolutely amazing and super friendly. The only complaint I have is the kitchen generally overcooks the food. Stoped in here after a day of errands and shopping. Orders the new Salmon BLT, caprese salad with chicken (no basil for whatever reason) and wings. Server was very attentive, food was really good. I am loving the salmon blt sandwich!!! The bacon in the sandwich is sweet with a nice kick, the aioli is perfect for the sandwich. I can't wait to go back and try it again. This was my second or third time in here, I love the atmosphere and there's a big menu with lots of options to choose from. The food is decent, some better than others but portions are always a good size. The burger was really good, so juicy and flavorful. The greek bowl was okay, I felt the proportions were a bit off and i would have loved more chicken. It was pretty meh. Brussel sprouts had good flavor just soggy so expect that. The Hungarian peppers were awesome as well, the house made marinara was so flavorful and sausage tasted great. A little picky but I wish it was hot when it came out the sauce was cold but not sure if that's just how they serve it. Overall, great atmosphere and good prices for the portion sizes. We come here at least once a week, definitely one of our family's fave places to eat, always a great pick on birthdays or other celebrations with a group. Service is always friendly and checking on us for anything else we need or to see how the food is for us. I've tried quite a bit off their menu, love the BBQ Chicken flatbread, tavern breaded chicken (even as a wrap) - love it with Honey BBQ sauce. My salads have always been fresh and very large portions so it usually goes home with me for another meal. My current favorite salad is the Southwest chipotle. They also have OREO milkshakes and fun cocktails!! We love coming here! read more

Visited Town Tavern for dinner recently for dinner. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and given menus. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. I requested an Angry Orchard cider because they had it on tap. The cider was cold and very good. For dinner, I requested a southwest salad with salmon and my wife requested lettuce wraps. The salmon was a bit undercooked, but it was tasty. The salad as a whole was very good and I would request it again. My wife liked her lettuce wraps and the sauce on them was tasty. So this is a new place people have told us about. I don't recommend it. 1) food and cocktails were both meh. To benchmark, this is basically Burntwood Tavern with a more up to date floor plan and atmosphere. 2) food was really meh. I mean this wasn't much more than Applebees. And a lot more expensive. 3) I make a point of not going to Applebees and like establishments for health reasons. Wonder why the US leads the world in Type diabetes, obesity, and other ills? This experience is it. Caveat: I do indulge in an occasional Popeye's fried chicken... otherwise I am fast food and "upscale leisure" clean 4) service went through all the motions but no genuineness. Finally tried this place out after their move to the hill. I can't speak to the rest of their food, but we went for brunch on Sunday after church and it was pretty solid. There were multiple vegetarian options as well as a kids menu and all in our party were happy with their meals. I ordered the avocado toast with no tomatoes and it was quite tasty. Weird thing though - I asked if I could switch the over easy eggs it comes with to poached and, upon checking with the kitchen, our server informed us that that was not possible. Weird, but okay. They were also out of wheat toast. Our table also tried the waffles, classic tavern breakfast, and one of the breakfast flatbreads. The potatoes that come as a side with some of the meals were crispy and a hit. Overall, not a bad experience and I would try them out for lunch or dinner sometime! read more

This is the chipotle ranch burger and I upgraded to the spicy maple glazed bacon for an additional $3. As you can see there was one tiny piece of bacon and the whole thing was burnt to heck. What a disappointing meal. I didn't say anything to the staff because this is how it was handed to me and the issues are visually pretty obvious. I've made several visits to this restaurant and the food is decent, not spectacular. Anyhow, this time we came during NCAA men's basketball "March madness" to watch bball! There was 1 channel on golf, one on NEWS & one on basketball. (Multiple tv's with those 3 stations) The TV that was by our table had local news on it so we asked if it was possible to put a game on...our waitress said a manager had to do it & she would ask. Came back & said he was too busy. A while later she came back & said it was too much for him to change so it wasnt going to happen. Also, in the meantime a few men switched seats at the bar to move to watch basketball & not the news channel. Also, we heard another table ask. Nope, can't change it. Then miraculously ALL TV's went to the SAME basketball game. So I guess after 30 minutes they DID put on basketball but the SAME game on ALL TV's. There are literally 3 games being played now & they could've had all 3 on but they chose not to. I would NOT call this a sports bar/restaurant because of this ! Had lunch here while in town for a concert. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I had the French dip sandwich and salad lunch special. Wife had the chipotle burger. My salad was bigger than expected for a 1/2 & 1/2 lunch special, which was a nice surprise. The sandwich was decent as well. About the size of a large hot dog bun. Very tasty. As my Dad used to say, "'A full parking lot is a sign of a good restaurant!" And this parking lot is always over flowing. My Dad was always right about things like this. I had been hearing about this great new place, and was delighted to get a table on a Friday night, by walking in. The dining room is well lit with lots of windows and light. It's no wonder the new restaurant is inviting. The music is too loud and the only thing that did not fit. The menu has many choices. I ordered the Veggie Burger and fries. It was spicy. I asked for blue cheese dressing to tone it down. The sandwich had pickles, onions, cheese, and lettuce. The bun was so fresh, it fell apart. The fries were light, thin and perfect, 10 out of 10, rating. Healthy looking too. The healthier choice was my friend's plate, the Arugula salad with Salmon. It had an entire piece of freshly cooked Salmon, on the side. It also had avocados throughout. But my friend said "something was missing." I would have added fresh Garden tomatoes, celery, carrots, black olives, feta cheese and garlic croutons. Still an A plus rating, for a healthy meal. The dessert was the grand surprise! Beautiful key lime pie with a thick graham cracker crust, cut square like a brownie. Fresh berries and whipped cream adorned the sides. What a lovely way to end a meal! The Server gets a 10/10 rating. She kept an eye on us and made sure our beverages were full. Her timing was impeccable. As we were leaving, she reminded us to come back for Brunch. Have eaten there 3 times since they opened, and every visit was great in terms of food and service. The drinks are excellent and the prices are reasonable. Only downside is that the inside is very noisy when it is crowded, but if you can go early or late and avoid the peak time it is nice. Outdoor seating is also nice in this warm weather. Lots of large TV screens will make it popular for sports watching, and several large tables make it good for groups. The hot dogs, shrimp and chicken salad were popular. read more

Meh! The menu has some interesting options particularly the side. Been there four times, and the relatively great promise suggested by the menu, is just marginally delivered. We both have gotten fish several times. Today was shrimp and lobster stuffed cod with a creamy cheesy risotto. Mine, the walleye with scorched Brussels sprouts and a nice mashed potato mix. As with our previous fish order, sadly both were way overcooked resulting a dry less than satisfactory main entree. As with a previous encounter with the Brussels sprouts, aside with being literally scorched which can be enjoyable, they had not been blanched, par-boiled or anything else just scorched with oil and seasonings. It could have been quite nice but without blanching or at least partially cooking them, they just became leathery AND burnt, not a good combo. I really wanted to like them this time but just as the first time they just weren't really edible. The starchy sides were nice the potatoes were nicely seasoned and didn't need even a pat of butter, the risotto which had spinach and mushrooms was good as well, albeit super greasy from was either a very oily cheese or just too much cheese causing the fourth and fifth bites rather hard to swallow just from the richness of it. With 2 soft drinks and tip the bill was around $75, which if the proteins were properly cooked and the sprout not chewed as though they had walked here from Brussels, it would been a fair exchange for the money. i've been here twice since the move to the hill. honestly, i liked having lunches at the old location. i don't know what to say about it now. it's loud. i've never understood people bringing kids - particularly young children - to "bars". i can't be the only person annoyed to be hearing children screaming and crying while i'm trying to have a beer and/or a meal. we went in on Friday for fish but it wasn't until we were leaving that we could confirm they had a separate Lent menu. and wouldn't you know it, the fish fry on that menu was considerably cheaper. Danielle thought she saw someone else get a different fish dinner but we ordered what we saw on the menu for the overpriced amount of $23. for that we did get 2 decent sized pieces of fish, batter dipped fries (my least favorite) and a tiny plastic cup of coleslaw. sadly the coleslaw was the best thing on the place and there was so little of it. the fish was fine -good even, though they're a little chincy on the tartar sauce. the server did give me more, though. this place is just chalk full of young kids working. they don't even look old enough to be serving alcohol - much less recommending drinks to us. they also don't seem to know how to work. work should be work. you shouldn't have pals hanging around the hostess station blocking the entrance to customers. not that anyone in management would notice. what i think were the management types literally sat at a table in the back of the restaurant all night where the servers also gathered. to be honest, the servers did fine but someone needs to crack a whip around there in other areas. i'm in no hurry to go back. while the food is fine, it's overpriced and, while the place looks nice enough, it's too loud and the clientele is not my kind of crowd. read more
