The inside is very pleasant, I'm sure my poor phone photos will not do it justice. Our server was very kind and helpful, if a bit slow at checking up on us, but it wasn't an issue. The food. The food is very good. We tried three different wing flavors. The house made buffalo, the Thai chili, and the citrus jerk wings. They fell off the bone and were delicious. I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger. The pickles on it as well are homemade or made from a company nearby, but they're also very good and different than any you get at the store. I will definitely be back. This was very good on a day where we stopped at 3 places and this happened to be the last. read more

Listen, the chairs and tables alone warrant the lowest possible review. I was genuinely pissed off when I saw tiny, weak ass chairs barely able to hold a fully grown adult ass. The size of the tables is fucking offensive. How the hell are you gonna bring me big ass bowls of wings and cram them onto a table better suited for a dollhouse!? If you want to be comfortable while you eat, avoid this place. Someone, PLEASE tell me why I can get legit ass tableware and glassware but they bring the most impotent, minuscule, microplastic laden, to go ramekins for the blue cheese or ranch! REAL ASS RAMEKINS EXIST! Someone give them some, because that plastic shit is disgusting and stupid. The food? Also terrible. Onion dip - bland Apricot bbq sauce - tastes like fermented gym socks Jerk - NOT A DRY FUCKING RUB! The heat so overpowered the entire sauce that the remaining herb flavors were obliterated. Whomever thought to call this "jerk" should be taken to the birthplace of jerk seasoning and be publicly humiliated. The ONLY decent sauce they have is Buffalo. They should take the rest of their menu back to the fucking drawing board. The service was just barely competent. I get so damn tired of pretentious motherfucking restaurants more interested in a cute logo than providing great food, great service, and comfortable seating. Oh, and fuck accessibility. NOTHING about this place is accessible. Two stars so this review isn't buried, but the place should be fire bombed. read more

Came here on a busy Mother's Day I have heard a lot of good things about this place. And wanted to try. We were close by so decided to have a late lunch. We came in with a few other families and the place was pretty crowded. We all got to sit. The host was kind enough to clear a regular table over a high top table for us. The space was an old fire station. So the inside is unique. There is a bar along the back wall and some larger booths against the walls. We sat in the middle with a good view of the bar. In the summer they seem to have a nice patio with a big garage door. Menu is large with lots of options including brunch on Sundays before 3p. They are known for wings and burgers. There were 3 of us and we all got something different. I got the house buffalo wings and a farmer salad. One got the cheesesteak dip, and one got the smashburger. Both sandwiches were a hit. My Mom loved the cheesesteak. And Kathy loved the burger. My wings were good. I'd definitely get them again. The salad was a mix of spring mix and brined asparagus. It was just ok. They have ciders, beers and even boozy milkshakes. Lots to offer. This place is a definite repeat. Parking is a bit tricky. There is a lot next to the building but not sure that is really the restaurants lot. Parking on the street too. Prices are about average. Our meal was $87 without tip and only 1 of us had an alcoholic beverage. So it can be pricey. I am glad we came here. It was on our list. Good server and good experience all around. read more

Wow! Was very excited to try this place out, it did not disappoint. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Fantastic burger, homemade fries, and tender wings!! Now the wings were not crispy as I do usually prefer however they were insanely tender and delicious, almost like a rib. However the pretzel was our favorite, would recommend!!!! The cream cheese and the melted cheese oh my gosh I would dream of this pretzel!!!! Our waitress did proceed to forget to ring in and bring us the pretzel until we were done with our meals which was disappointing but wow did it make for a great ending. Do wish they would have compensated or apologize for the mistake, however it was tooo good to complain in the moment. The ambience also inside this place is very unique and cool! The surrounding area however is not the greatest, we did have to park on the street down a ways and did not feel the safest on our walk back. Overall a great spot and can't wait to return!! read more

This was my first time here, and the food was "good". I need to tell you something if you only do one thing that I would recommend ever in your life... Get a hard milkshake. I had the vanilla and my wife had the strawberry the vanilla is life-changing. The strawberry was tasty, but I have to admit mine was slightly better. We also had the fried chicken skins and some chicken wings. I thought it was an affordable meal tasted amazing. Great job guys I will be back. read more

The menu has such an eclectic variety of choices. I cannot wait to go back and try something new. We had the wings were delicious, crispy and falls off the bone. We ordered plain fries but next time we are getting something on them. You can put any type of rub or sauce on them. The atmosphere has a cool vibe, it's not very roomy, I will call It cosy. Our server was sweet and attentive. I would recommend for sure, and like I mentioned I can't wait to try again. read more

This is one of the better meals I've had in Akron this year. Cocktails were excellent craft quality, the flash fried celery root was *amazing* and the smash burger and fries were out of this world... we were out for a late lunch on a Sat afternoon and got in early but - after meeting some cool people over drinks and leaving around 7 - it was packed!! So be prepared! (Note they're not open for lunch we got in around opening time). We will be back very soon - great experience! Oh and almost forgot!! The WINGS!!! Best in Northeast Ohio!!! Don't miss out on them!! 72-hour marinade and prep - they drop off the bone!! From their website: "We marinate our chicken wings in dry spices for two days. On the third day, we slow braise them. Then we fry them to order and toss them in one of our house sauces or dry spice blends" read more

Okay, so this is THE place to go for wings. I've never had 72 hour wings but now I've been ruined for wings prepared any other way. They legit fell off the BONE. I told the server I am not crazy about sweet and nothing super spicy. He recommended the garlic pecorino, which were SUBERB. I took a couple to my parents and they were impressed too. I also had a Kale salad and my son had the chicken nuggets. The old fashioned was not my fave.....it was blood orange and while not traditional, which I knew coming into it, I thought it was straying a little too far. Too much.....orange juice? I'm not sure, but I would stick with a regular old old fashioned next time. Service is very fast and friendly. We were there early, like before 5, but business was picking up quite a bit as we were leaving. The ambiance is warm and visually pleasing. I loved the plush banquette area, but we were just a party of two. There was also outdoor seating, but I think it's still a little too warm outside for that. Great, great spot. I had seen the Cleveland counterpart of Good Company on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. They had some sort of lobster dip sandwich which stuck in my mind for a long time. I didn't see any trace of that on the Akron menu though. Welp. Guess we'll just have to pay a visit to the Cleveland outpost. read more

We loved our dinner at Good Company. We sat at the bar and had great service from the bartender. The Good One burger was so good and the 72 hour wings literally fell off the bone. Small Spot, Big Bites - Good Company in Akron is a Flavor Powerhouse Tucked away in Akron, Ohio, there's a little place making some big flavor noise--Good Company. Don't let the cozy, modern space fool you--this isn't your average neighborhood restaurant. It's a bold, flavor-forward experience served up in an unpretentious atmosphere that feels like your favorite hoodie: familiar, comfortable, and unexpectedly stylish. We stopped in with hungry appetites and open minds, and Good Company delivered with a menu that hits hard right out of the gate. Fried Chicken Skins - A Crispy Revelation Yes, you read that right. Not chicken. Chicken skins. These golden, crispy bites are the culinary equivalent of finding hidden treasure--salty, savory, perfectly seasoned crunch with just enough chew to remind you it's real. Think pork rinds leveled up by a chef with street smarts and a Southern soul. One bite in and we knew: this place doesn't play it safe, and we're here for it. Bourbon Molasses Wings - Sweet, Smoky, Sticky Perfection Wings are a crowded game, but Good Company has found a way to stand out. Their bourbon molasses wings come lacquered in a sweet-and-smoky glaze that clings to each wing like a slow dance partner--seductive, a little messy, and totally worth it. The bourbon brings a warm depth, while the molasses adds that signature stick-to-your-lips richness. Napkins are essential. Regrets are nonexistent. The Good One Burger - A Patty Worth Praising Aptly named, The Good One burger doesn't try to reinvent the wheel--it just makes it roll smoother and taste better. Juicy, perfectly cooked beef piled with the right combo of melty cheese, crisp pickles, fresh lettuce, and a house sauce that whispers sweet nothings to your tastebuds. It's the kind of burger that makes you pause mid-bite and say, "Damn, that's good." (Spoiler: we did.) Small Place, Big Personality Good Company isn't flashy. It's not trying to be the "it" place in Akron. It's just confidently doing its own thing--and doing it very well. The vibe is chill, the staff is friendly without being fake, and the food speaks louder than any Instagram filter ever could. This isn't just a restaurant--it's a reminder that flavor, creativity, and a little culinary courage can turn a small joint into a must-visit destination. So if you find yourself in Akron with a craving for something crave-worthy, do yourself a favor: pull up a seat at Good Company. And come hungry--this little spot plays with big flavors and doesn't hold back. Take the Trip Tip: Go with friends, order a little bit of everything, and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. Good food tastes better in good company... and at Good Company. read more

We stopped on a Tuesday night for dinner. They have a limited number of IPAs on tap but had Fat Head's Head Hunter in cans which was fine. The Spicy BBQ dry rub wings were very good. This place was so yummy, but a few things made it less than perfect. I've decided to round up my rating anyway. I'm not a huge burger person, but their burger was delicious! Except it did taste mostly of pickles. I like pickles, but It didn't leave room for the flavor of the patties or cheese. And the fries seemed old? Overcooked? A lot looked saturated with oil, but they were still crispy. So I'm not sure what was going on there. I didn't get to snag a picture of the wings, they were amazing! Great flavor throughout. We got the Thai chili wings. While the flavor was great, there wasn't really any spice to them. Which I thought was weird considering how spicy Thai chili's are. The milkshake was absolutely delicious and I finished the whole thing! Our server was very kind, and the atmosphere in this place is great. It's so laidback. And they had nice single-person restrooms. All in all, it was a nice weekday dinner. Overall rating: 4.5/5 stars read more

Really like this place because it's appropriate for multiple occasions: casual outing, dates, girls night, party night out, peaceful dinner outside in the patio, solo dates, live music vibes, etc. I've had their wings several times and they never disappoint. The Vegan Oliver, however, was a letdown I'm not sure what the jerky bacon slices were made of but it was very bland. Not a very flavorful sandwich. This place was a great find! I was new to the area and found Good Company Akron from their excellent Yelp reviews. The people who spoke so highly of this place were not wrong! The interior gives off a hip, but relaxing vibe. There is dining room room seating and a nice bar area that is all connected. Since this was our first visit, we had to go with the menu item they are most famous for, the wings. As you eat, the meat just falls off the bone, so fresh and tasty! We tried three different sauces: BBQ dry rub, garlic, and sweet chili. My preference was the dry rub, good taste and with a nice little spicy kick. Jason took care of us, he was very personable and easy to talk to. He told us that the burgers are also an excellent choice, so that is what we will try during out next visit. What a deceiving name... Came in from out of town...found this place on google, seemed to have a decent amount of vegan options.... Got there, stood at the host station several minutes without the slightest acknowledgement. Started with an order of fried celery root...pretty bad, $13 for basically a basket of deep fried, super oily batter. Celery root was sliced paper thin, could barely find it or taste it. Came with no dipping sauce. I got a small harvest grain salad, decent. Friend got a smash burger...paper thin, flavorless and overcooked. Very disappointed. Greatly decorated bathroom read more

Great food and drinks just West of the heart of downtown Akron! Good variety on the food menu, including vegetarian/vegan options. I got the Vegan Oliver- a vegan smash burger - with a side of dill pickled potato salad. It was delicious! Also got the Blood Orange Old Fashioned which was really good too! My friend had the full size Kale Caesar Salad with chicken. We also had the Guinness Onion Dip--a must try if you visit! The service was fantastic! We went on a Monday evening. It was steady business with both take out orders and in house diners. Everything came out quickly and at the right temperature. The server was very attentive! The restaurant has a cool and casual vibe. There was a lot of diversity in terms of the clientele so the vibe appeals to a lot of people! AMBIANCE We walked in on a weekend evening to grab a bite. We were lucky to snag parking in the back and walked right into a cutely decorated space with a bar and high top on the left, a huge round cozy booth by the door, and a couple tables in the dining room space. While the music was audible, it wasn't as incredibly loud as we expected, which was a relief. Definitely not the quietest spot (for us tired folks at the time of day) but had a good buzz that most people would like for weekend spot. SERVICE Once we entered, we were quickly seated and provided ice waters with straws. Our waitress was quick to the table to ask if we had questions and after scanning, we quickly put in our orders. We chose the soft pretzel, the Good One burger, and a steak supper. While we waited, our waitress was attentive in managing our table and filling our glasses. FOOD Our soft pretzel arrived around 5-10 minutes later in a braided form and large sea salt crystals! It was served in a basket with piped brown sugar cream cheese and cheese sauce. The pretzel was soft and the cheese sauce was too gooey and unnatural for us but the brown sugar cream cheese was a must!!! Made this taste much more like dessert than a savory appetizer so we saved part of it for dessert! Our burger and steak supper arrived another 10 minutes later and both were well plated and well-prepared. While the burger was quite messy to eat given the size of the plate, it was tasty and we were glad for extra napkins. The fries were appropriately crispy yet pillowy and not too salty. We enjoyed the steak supper which was prepared medium rare as asked and was good enough without the sauce and tender and well seasoned. The rosemary garlic fries were also done well... nice and crisp and not too oily. I was surprised by the large garlic cloves in my fries, but still delicious and cleaned my plate! Of course, we had leftover pretzels so we ate the rest as dessert... pulling it apart and scraping some brown sugar cream cheese on it and it was just perfect! Exactly hit the sweet and salty spot and the need for warm carbs! read more

My husband and I dined here with another couple recently and overall were very impressed! I'd rate this place higher, however, a few of the dishes/drinks were mediocre while other items on the menu shined. These were hands down the best wings we've had!!! My husband and friends loved the sweet and spicy wings while I was obsessed over the pecorino garlic wings. They marinate, braise and then fry these babies up! My husband's burger was pretty good overall and it's definitely an item we'd order again. I loved my taco chop salad as it was filled with flavor! My friend and I split dessert and were very impressed with the flavor and creaminess of it! Our friends however were underwhelmed with their orders of steak and the chicken sandwich. We all also agreed that are cocktails and shakes weren't all that good. We didn't like the combo of flavors on the shakes. The atmosphere here is cool and laid back. They also have live music on Tuesdays which was a lot of fun! Another perk is that there's an outdoor patio. Regarding service, our server was very friendly and attentive. read more

So I've wanted to try this place for quite a while now, and I'll be honest, I missed the boat big time by waiting as long as I did. We had a group of 8, including 2 babies, and you just never know how that's going to go. I have to say, this exceeded our expectations by quite a bit! We ordered the chicken skins for the table. Think a savory, chewy, pork rind-y thing with house made Ranch dressing. Overall, a big hit for everyone. But, for me, I honestly liked the pickled celery that came with it even more than the skins themselves. Briny, crunchy, certainly a pallet cleanser from the fried skins. Never had pickled celery before, but dang was it good! Now, out of 5 adults, three of us ordered the Good One, which is a smashed patty double cheeseburger with American cheese, grilled onion, shredded lettuce, house made pickle and company sauce. I'll be honest, I usually don't love pickles on my burger, though I like pickles, I think they take over the taste... too many years of subpar, mass made fast food pickles. And I thought that the burger may have too much going on, as a lot of places do with their signature burger, but I like to give places a chance to prove me right, so I got the burger just as it came. Freakin delightful! The burger taste stood out, you got some crunch from the lettuce and pickles, the cheese was perfectly melted, and I'm not sure what exactly was in the company sauce, but it was delicious! And yes, even the pickles added the right amount of acid and crunch, but didn't overpower anything. I was actually happy, my wife ordered the chicken sandwich and got her pickles on the side, so I was able to dive into them a bit more, and they are awesome! I never have pickled anything with malt vinegar, but I'm gonna have to steal that from now one! I had a bite of the chicken too, pretty great! The bun stood out as well, soft and squishy, poppy seed topped delight, and contrasted the crunchy, flavorful and moist chicken perfectly. Ok, just a few more quick notes. One person got the steak dinner with chimichurri and really liked it. It was served with corn ribs and fries, and he really liked everything. My 6 year old ordered a grilled cheese and said it was "Amazing". He neglected to share it with me, and he was on the other side of the table, so I don't know much else about it. But it looked good! I know this review is long, and I'm sorry, but I can't go without talking about the staff. I didn't catch the name of our waitress, but she was amazing! She was super attentive without interrupting, which is a hard thing to pull off. She was also amazing with all the kids, interacting with them, being super sweet even when one of the babies kept trying to grab her pen. For the little ones, we only ordered applesauce, we weren't sure there was much else to eat. I have never seen this before, but the kitchen served it in ready to go pouches. So much easier for feeding them. It is genius, and super nice and considerate. Amazing! Yeah, don't be like me and wait. Don't walk, but run to Good Company Akron! read more
